Very nicely done. Don't think the rear shock will hold up because as it moves up and down it will also need to pivot sideways due to not being mounted parallel to the arch of frame and swinging arm movement.
I have the same carburetor set as you but the issue that I’m having is that when I accelerate the motorcycle starts to bog at 3/4 to full throttle. Can you point me in the right direction to how to fix my issue

terryclotf only the ignition was left when i was done and charging system. I installed a moto gadget for all the turn signals and brake lights and other like items.

Definitely needed air filters. The draft over them caused them to be a little goofy above 45-50 mph It ran at wide open throttle really well made really good hp. I was running the 75 model came shafts too
That biuld looks amazing. And I've been thinking about getting a bmw r100 oder a goldwing like yours to costomise. I especially like the way the bmw tank looks on your bike. Did you have change a lot to fit that bmw tank onto the motorcycle?
always cracks me up when i see people making bikes better than the factory. such an awesome beast. and why WHY arent you building three at the same time to sell two?! you could make so much money of these. i would put something behind my ass to stop me from sliding on to that back tire though.. my nuts are just like 'oh, hell no". i could never ride rear sets or mid sets with my knees. i like the drag bars or crosser bars and little more height. when i win the lotto i will give you an order. really really dig these monoshockers. but why no video of a start up with a burn out and a wheelie?!!!

I made the intakes for mine and I'm running the ebay webber copies. Might check randakks.com he might make intakes for the 1200 too. the velocity stacks came with my carbs. They are idf40 carbs
Daniel ingrao no fuse box left after cutting down the harness. I used a moto gadget and its in the tunnel of the tank. Used a small lithium battery just mounted on the back of the engine
Daniel ingrao wasn’t to bad. I took the original stem and put it in the gsxr 600 triple tree. Bought the conversion bearings from allballz. The stem did take a little machining that i did. Then i made the top clamp
it's really kind of a shame he wasn't able to use the original carbs believe it or not they run much better than them twin style manifolds those manifolds create a induction problem we're they're not exactly the same size as the head port
What a marvellous piece of skilled engineering and forethought. How long did it take to build? Did you do all the paint and powdercoat finishes yourself. Pat yourself on the back my man. Awesome job.:-)
damage1_1 I don’t do much painting but I did do most of the powder coating all of it but the frame. No oven big enough yet. Took about three months to build it. Thanks I really enjoy riding this bike it handles really well. Glad ya like it.

The original would have been great getting rid of the bed pan seat and losing the rear rack.

John lambert cool I was thinking about using the m-unit. How hard was it to do that fork swap? My GL1200 has those air forks and they have to go.

I actually port matched them to the heads because I machined them myself and welded them up. It ran very well
