    I ´m using Gazelle bikes since 47 years. Yesterday I got an Arroyo C 5. The bike is perfect, made like Mercedes cars in older days. I still kept my first Gazelle bike, it ´s still working fine. The Arroyo let me make much more longer bike trips. I like the sitting position very much. Raymond from Germany

      That is an awesome e-bike! I took one of those out for a test ride , and it was very impressive! I bought the gazelle Ultimate T10 only because I wanted a bit more suspension for the odd time I want to off road Great choice ! I don’t think you will regret that purchase that is an awesome cruiser!!!!

    I have some neck and back issues, so I bought an ultimate T10 step through and did a few changes to suit my type of riding. I wanted a smoother ride so I wanted front fork suspension which the T10 has. I changed the handle bars from another gazelle model to give me a more upright position for comfort. I also added a thudbuster suspension post seat to give me a smoother ride over those bumps ,so if on rare occasions if I want to off road it would smoothen out the ride. And lastly I wanted a little wider tire ,so I installed a SWB hurricane 29x2.25 w tire to handle the gravel and sandy areas in some of the trails that we come across for more stability. what a difference ! It has 10 speed Shimano shifter for great gearing on the steepest hills and works awesome with the power and torque of the 75 NM Bosch performance motor with auto function! All customized from new,with experienced help from the gazelle dealer. I love the bike with these changes ,it rides awesome on roads and hilly sandy or gravel trails with these changes, one bike that does it all,worth every penny in my opinion!

    I love my c5, bought it last August. The only critique I could offer is that the back rack does not work with any of the common pannier systems. What’s up with that? Otherwise I totally agree, this bike is a smile machine. Michael in Minneapolis

    • @thenewwheel
      @thenewwheel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting... we haven't seen any problem with panniers fitting. What panniers are you using? You can also attach MIK panniers to the top of the rack which is very handy.

      @GladmanNow ปีที่แล้ว

      @@thenewwheel Thanks for responding. I was using JANDD panniers. The bags you are talking about seem quite small.

    • @thenewwheel
      @thenewwheel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GladmanNow Ah ok. Definitely look into some Ortliebs. They will work perfectly - and will fit on any bike - and the quality is the best. They have every size available from small to extremely large. Another option would be to purchase panniers made by Gazelle.

    • @GladmanNow
      @GladmanNow ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used some locally produced Banjo Brothers panniers that are attached to each other like saddle bags and lay them over the rack and pop my Fjallraven Kankens in and out of each side. Michael in Minneapolis

    My husband and I bought Specialized bikes based on your past reviews. Why did you switch to promoting the Gazelle? I just bought the Specialized 4.0 IGH and love the belt drive, however, I don't like that there are no numbers to see where you are shifting in, just shows a different hill level.

      @thenewwheel  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      We love Specialized bikes too. We don't necessarily switch from promoting one thing or another, but the Gazelle bikes are really great these days and Gazelle is a great company to work with. One of our favorite bikes is the Arroyo C5.
      Sounds like you are all set at the moment, but if you feel inspired we'd definitely recommend trying an Arroyo C5!

    Thanks for the review. We plan to transport the bike on fork mounted to l-tracks in the back of our van. Can you tell me if it is easy to easily loosen and position the handlebars so that they are parallel to the frame?

    • @thenewwheel
      @thenewwheel  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can do that with a hex key. It’s easy enough but does require tools so not quite so simple. You may look into a bike rack that can attach to your hitch if possible.

    At 5:40, you state the option of adding the Bosch GPS module, have you had issues with adding the module? My dealer tried adding it, but the original motor covers don't fit after installing the module, and he's not able to get the part numbers for any compatible covers that would fit from either Bosch or Gazelle. Bosch sends him to Gazelle, and Gazelle vice versa

    • @thenewwheel
      @thenewwheel  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You are correct it isnt a perfect fit just yet. Gazelle needs to get us a new cover. That being said, you can put the gps unit in the current case but not in the way Bosch would want you to. It’s a bit of a squeeze.

      Thanks, no. We bought one on Friday. It's a pretty sweet machine. I think it's a relationship enhancer. Now my GF and I can cycle at about the same pace. The new the battery lasts a long time. Let's see what it's like 2, 3 years.

      I have an injury from being hit by a car on my bike- and hopefully I can find a bike that I can ride that will 'change my life'- ie 'not hurt me on every bump'. When a person in totally able bodied it is hard to imagine how design can affect your life - but - hopefully- it can.
