Dude, I just showed this music video to my mom who grew up in the freaking 1940's after talking with her a little bit about what this band is about, what they're doing with their music creatively, and really making a point to highlight the immense talent in these musicians, and my mom was *literally* edge of her seat by the halfway point. She was almost literally bursting with emotion and expression at how cool this was. We went on to watch a couple UtA videos on "Vocal Coach" channels to share in some of the technical insight (I think, understandably, vocal techniques are a little easier to connect with and understand physiologically and conceptually than instruments to someone that's never messed with an instrument), and you know what she said when we had finished some of those and discussed the artistry and skill? "Can you show me that music video again? (this one) That was amazing. Epic! I want to hear their whole album now!"

Judging by their postings on Instagram I believe they shot this video in one day and editing couldn't have been that long either, since they did this only a week ago. Or has it been two weeks already? Anyhow, it seems that Richard Olak, the director of this video and also 'General of the Dark Army' is very professional and delivers fantastic results in a short amount of time.
It was shot over two days - Brittney & the band were here at 'Falcon's Rest' on day #2. Everyone worked incredibly hard - was a pleasure and honour to meet and collaborate with everyone. :0)

You know nothing about editing, editing takes much longer than anything else you need to select the right clips for the right parts, then choose another clips, make sure it fits with the music, decide if using a scene or not while trying to make it all fit in the 7 minutes window, and when you're done you realize it sucks and start over again until come out with something good

Speaking about Canadian Metal, the band Instanzia is also not bad.
Much adoration from Norway, one of the greatest metal bands the last decade for sure. And it feels like a old but new song, and band in general to me. A fresh breath still, a missing piece among a few in history. The sound is amazing, just what we need. If this would be a standard for metal bands to come id be happy, dont feed me that american bullshit. Slipknot is the only exception as gods the last 30 years.

Technically they're Proto-Norse runes, so they predate the Viking age by a couple hundred years, but Viking runes descended from those ones eventually, so not too far off.

You must have come across some really shitty bands then. I've been listening to various metal styles all my life and can count the number of white nationalists on one hand....

quiet81 i found Sabaton. Their main theme is history, the sing about battles and I guess you could say it’s National pride too. There’s nothing wrong with some nationalism. Also, I listen to bands that are the complete opposite and actually flat out say their politics like Rise Against and Anti-Flag which are bias towards the Left. Sabaton could be considered more right but they have never really stated their political position as far as I am aware. “We don’t glorify anything.
