I register on Flight B and my gross score is 87. How to calculate my handicap?
This method could be used in situations where the player has no official Index. However, if the player does have an established Index, the correct way to calculate his/her Course Handicap is to multiply the Index by the Slope of the tees being played and then divide that by 113. (Index x Slope) / 113. See Section 3.3 the USGA Handicap Manual.

You need to roll of the lowest handicapped player for match play otherwise you don't really get your strokes on the toughest holes. You are getting the handicap strokes on the easiest holes, offset by the others handicaps.
Lots of incorrect information here. While the differential calculation is correct, that does not give you "your handicap". Your handicap index is based on a bunch of differentials of the last 20 scores you played. Depending when you're reading this, in 2021using the World Handicap System, it's calculated using the best 8 out of the last 20 differentials in your score history, not just the single round that you played. That handicap index is converted to a "course handicap" based on the tee box you plan on playing before the round is played. The round you play is NOT included in the calculation after the fact, as presented here.

Very well explained, although now this is dated since the calculation has changed, but the application is the same. Good video!
what is the difference between stoke index (uk) and slope (us)?

What tee did 1st player play off? If he played blue he has 4.5 strokes. If he played white then he has 6.5…how he get 2?

the differential is 19.96 and should be multipied by 96%. Handicap is 19.16.
