    That was super helpful. Also no waffling, just straight into it, clear precise uncomplicated instructions.

      Oh I love this comment. Thanks! I hate waffling TH-cam videos that have a bunch of "intro" before getting into the actual topic, so this makes me happy to read I hit the target.

    Thank you for sharing! I recently got my hands on the PodMic USB and was unsure about adjusting the settings. This tutorial was exactly what I needed!

    Love mine. Use it via usb for quick zoom/teams meetings at work. The DSP is clutch for this.

    Great demos, really appreciated hearing the difference between environmental noise eg. fan on/off as well as demos of each mic setting.

    Thank you. I have been using a Blue Snowball on my videos for a while, and I sing in some of my videos, so I just got a Rode Podmic USB and appreciate you doing your singing too. I am a woman as well, and when I am singing the high notes I was having problems with the Snowball. It may have been my gain settings. I will be playing around with the settings, so appreciate your explanation. God bless.

      Oh yes the Snowball doesn't handle the top end all that well, and will pickup a lot more background noise than the Rode PodMic. I'm excited for you to use the new microphone for your singing. Definitely fiddle with the DSP settings. I gave a good run down review of the PodMic too if you need a bit more info about it: th-cam.com/video/gYzjEAAZtxM/w-d-xo.html

    Anyone know why every time I turn the mic on, I have to readjust the volume knob in the pack of the rode pod mic usb? Seems with settings stored on the mic, the volume to the headphones would be as well? Am i missing something?

    Hii youtuber
    I have just purchased a Rode PodMic USB and SC19 cable. However, when I connect it to my iPhone 11, there is no recorded sound. everything is muted. I tried it on an iPhone 7+ as well, but the same issue occurred. I've made sure the green light is on. Feeling frustrated, I tried reconnecting the SC19 cable, but still couldn't record any sound. I've been at it for 5 hours but still not working. I've searched for tutorials on tiktok, but the sound doesn't come out, maybe because it's connected to the SC19 cable. When I unplug the SC19 cable, the sound on tiktok works again. Is there a step I missed in using this PodMic?

    i very like this video. Please explain to me how to turn on the compressor? Thank you

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Around 3:20 you can see there that I click on and off the "active" section in the DSP settings. That will toggle between compression on and off.

    Thanks for this! I’ve watched some videos on this mic but I really needed a female perspective. It was a toss btwn this one and the mv7. I don’t like how the mv7 is muffled a bit and the pop sounds. I don’t know much about audio but learning. I feel like this rode mic maybe would of been a better choice. I do use xlr and an audio interface and I do post production tweaks. I love how you explained the compression because although I use it I wasn’t totally sure what it does. I’ve watched a lot of male overviews on mics but they recommend settings and don’t really explain properly. I’m on the fence whether I should buy this one and try. I’m getting a collection now tho but I need the right mic. I have the pd400x as-well, good mic. But not one has really given me that yes this is the one yet.

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ah yes - a couple of people have mentioned they have the pd400x. I'm yet to try that one out! It sounded similar from what I could tell to the Rode PodMic, but lacked as much depth. Depends what your use case is though for sure!

    DO you like the Rode or Shure MV7? Thoughts? Mainly used for online course creation... :) Also, is there any settings like Shure's near/far options?

      Oooo I did a microphone battle where I put those two up against each other. There was a clear winner for my voice: th-cam.com/video/yWF6NfktURw/w-d-xo.html

      Also no, there's no near/far option in the DSP settings for the Podmic. :)

    Is this software for the Rode pod mic as well

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This video is about the Rode Podmic with the Unify software. Did you mean to say another microphone? 😬 Or did I misunderstand?

  • @rcook934
    @rcook934 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

    This is interesting seeing this said mic doesn't work with the Unify + Beacn create

    • @bambymedia
      @bambymedia  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hmm that is odd, though might not be surprising. Beacn create might want you to use the Beacn microphone? I haven't tried that one out yet! I'll have to add it to the review list.
