Your testimony on using 1000 door hangers kind of confirms what I’ve been thinking recently. I was trying to promote another business that’s maybe not so much in demand for headlight restoration, and after passing out 1000 flyers on targeted vehicles that need the service I only receive four phone calls and booked one job. it seems that with window cleaning is higher in demand and will pay off much quicker in that sense. I’ve been in a really messed up and unique financial situation for about a good year now and thought about window cleaning eight months ago and decided to stick with the headlight stuff to try to make it work but now I’m thinking of pivoting back to window cleaning, which I just fell in love with when I first started seeing it. Attacking more residential one story homes, I think would be a great way to start out and just getting business cards since right now, I really cannot do the flyers or door hangers at this moment.

Definitly man. Window cleaning is where it’s at. I’d recommend knocking on some of the neighbors doors to get the ball rolling and once you do a good job word of mouth will really help you take off

@@Puffwindowcleaning saw your video on the HD supplies.. Now that you have more professional equipment, how much of a difference in the end result has it been in comparison to the Home Depot stuff?

I live in a town of 100000 people, roughly another 50,000 in surrounding areas, and there is about 10-15 window cleaning businesses. I feel like even if I pushed my marketing out there I won't be able to secure clients. I know it sounds like I'm scared to just get it done, but I just haven't fully mapped out how I can get the ball rolling, and actually have some lead flow. Door 2 door and some flyers in high traffic areas would be an optimal start right? sorry for the long comment I Just have lots of concerns and worries jumping into this line of work.

No need to apologize bro, I’m here to help. I’d say that if this is something you’re interested in to give it a shot. Don’t quit your day job, but if anything the full investment into this business is only a few hundred bucks (which you can make back on one job). A lot of window cleaners retire or sell their business, or end up quitting for other reasons, so don’t let a little competition stop you from trying. I’ve picked up clients who have called for an estimate and dropped their previous window cleaner for not doing a good job. I’d suggest passing out door hangers and advertising in your free time outside of your day job to see if you can get any leads

You said that you purchased the latter later on, so in the beginning of the business how did you reach the second story, or did you only advertise to single story houses?

    • @Puffwindowcleaning

I needed a ladder for the first residential that I did (2 story), so once I closed a deal on the estimate I went out and bought a ladder
