Dude, you’re the best - around. Nothings going to ever get you down! Ok sorry for putting that one in your head. Seriously the amount of info you give is amazing. I just changed careers over to solar panel and window cleaning and your vid’s give me all the confidence in the world. Keep them coming! All the best, thanks!
I'm getting back into window cleaning after a long hiatus. I'm amazed at all the new products now available. I live in Upstate NY, and since we are entering a cold season, I got an order of the NXT-R blue rubbers. They're much softer than I'm accustomed to, and I found that my squeegee rides up onto the window frames more than with the harder rubber I've used in the past. They don't seem to transmit the "feel" as much. Perhaps I'll just need to develop a new "touch".
Thank you for all your videos. I’m currently burnt out on my job and looking to start a side hustle that I can grow into my main job. I’ve watched almost everything you have put out. When I start my business in the next 2 months I’ll owe you a ton.
I'm with you on the Black Diamond. I actually enjoy the Unger Green but the price went up to over 50 dollars for a 10 pack of 14 inch. Not buying it anymore.
I’m partial to my Ettore rubber, but it’s always fun to try out new tools. I’ll have to get some unger green & a fugu sleeve & new trad adapter! Love the concept of that rinse bar on the Xline brush. I’m not a fan of the Tucker rinse bar…😬 Great video!
I think I got a bad batch of green rubber. Just like you said it dragged hard if the whole blade isn't wet. BUT...... The glid with slip in Vegas heat is great.....
FUGU #2 😁 Stephen, thanks again for another great video!! Always enjoy your content and you've helped me so much in starting my window cleaning business. Out here in Alaska I use the black diamond soft. The hottest day of the year was like 65° and so far the coldest day has been 26°, and the black diamond has been great in all those temps. I definitely want to try that Unger green soon.
Just made the switch from Ettore master rubber to the unger soft. I was having too many issues with Ettore rubber sticking to the glass and it made things very difficult with pole work. I just think it takes way too long for Ettore to break in.
@@yourilabelle8540 you can call us a bunch of pansies here in the States but -10 including the windchill I'm done. Unless you have a great solution for keeping my windshield washing fluid from freezing.
@@brianwestmoreland3836 we use metanol...but its really not as good as standard dawn and water...the squeegee doesnt slide as good. And the degreasing power is not really good also.
Oooh, I think the unger green that I got must to be from that sticky batch that you mentioned 😅. I'm using that on the liquidator ( I know you don't like it, I'm giv8ng a try), and took a (long) while until it wear enough to get it smooth.
I have a bunch of unger green as per recommendations, but tbh I just keep going back to basic ettore rubber.. maybe it's just me, my abilities, or technique, but for me, it just works. Am i missing something?
We all know the Unger green rocks! It is funny to hear you say you do not enjoy the razor red rubber. I have been using it alot lately and I don't mind it at all. It does last longer so that is a pro. Unger soft is awesome. It is the same stuff that came in my Unger Ninja.
SteveO, question? What do you use to remove heavy water and calcium build-up? I have a costumer who's window have a very thick, baked on calcium build-up.
I’ve been using the Ettore master for years, great rubber very smooth. I just recently bought some Unger green rubbers honestly because I’ve seen you use it for quite some time! For me they were very sticky and I was kind of disappointed so I switched back to Ettore. Now that you mention bad batches, I wonder if the pack I received may have been one of those 🤷♂️
I thought the same. They just take a little longer to break in. Once they do they're as smooth as butter and last a long time. I probably won't buy anymore when I run out because the price is insane. I'm going to stick with Black Diamond medium since they last as long as Ettore but I get 2 dozen for the price of 1 dozen.
About how many jobs do you do in a day? I'm in my baby steps of window cleaning and finding it hard to get customers on a schedule they usually say "I'll give you a call" lol
@@brianwestmoreland3836 been going good, still not where I want to be but definitely have been getting more and more busy, I got better on my approach to businesses and have been getting good monthly clients
are you supposed to buy rubber cut to the size of your channel? (etc, 6" channel so buy a 6" rubber) or can you buy a long roll of rubber and cut it down to fill multiple channels? thanks in advance!
I used to buy 36" strips of either Ettore or Unger and cut to size as needed. Doing houses with the little pains is easier if you have a size close to what you need. The same goes for channels. I cut them to length also with a little hack saw which I carried, and I rounded the corners to match the factory channels. It's very cost effective that way.
Hello mam...I'm a new follower, I'm from Spain and i want to star officially a business..whe you say blending measn that leave straps???? Or lines?? Thanks
I do mine. But you need a short width channel because car windows are curved, and the shorter ones make the contour easier. Have to straight pull side to side for the windshield, and you might be able to get away with fanning on the sides. I use a 7" or 8" channel.

Black Diamond medium rubbers is the best in my opinion. Its also affordable.

I’m having same issue with Ettore right now. Wanting to switch to unger green. Is unger soft a big difference from unger green?
Wooow im so surprise nobody said sorbo...they are my favorite all year around.

What would you use on low e and tinted in summer and Australian winters? (lowest temp this year was 13 degrees Celsius)

Unger green is only good for fanning, it’s not good for straight pulls
