Can I ask why .....and I've seen many detailers on TH-cam *not* do this and that's lift the wiper blades before and during prewash, snowfoam and contact wash? I always do and am cautious of the pressure washer but clean and jet under them as they're raised throughout the whole process. Then clean the rubber blades before carefully putting them back down. I've always wondered why many don't do this? Thanks
Nope - I'm a Citrus - snow - rinse routine. Maybe 2 x snow if it's really 'sandy'. I want the chemicals to attack the dirt and help lift without being watered down. But each to their own of course. Good video again anyway. Subscribed! :)
Nice vid, liking the camera work and the music :) But on the snow foam, that would depend on your snow foam. I've been using Bilt Hamber auto foam and touch less for a while now. The are both better without a rinsing first, and still have the power to remove traffic film. I find it a much needed time saver. But I would agree, things change when its not your car. Also that ava bucket is pretty interesting, but the price is a downer. £30. The megs buckets are looking better value
@@epicautomotivedetailing yeah, seems to be the way of things. Gas, lecky, petrol, tax bills as well as diesel running out in my local petrol stations. I'm looking to cut back on things, so I hope you'll be financially OK during this tough period
Thank you for this, after the sand we had last week I didn't feel it was a good idea to wash the car without snow foam so I bought the Autoglym cannon and a friend gave me some 8 below and some blizzard to try and used your method giving the car two doses off foam. Worked a treat. Don't know if I will snow foam at every wash because it's a bit of a faff to get the washer going but I will certainly use it when the car is very bad. Very pleased with the results and finished it off with some Autoglym resin polish and nano sealer. Any chance we can have a video with the technicals is snow foaming and maybe test your top 5 brands? That would be very helpful. Thank you for the videos.
Personally i like to use a citrus pre wash on lower 3rd then snow foam over and rinse. Followed by another round of snow foam to keep the neighbours curtains twitching. Thankyou for the upload.
Hi David love all of your videos I have learned so much. I pressure wash dirt of first then use waterless wash and wax. I no as your a professional cleaner you will not like waterless and wax.it says you it on a dirty car first and it will not harm the car it says it enclaulates the dirt can you try some please. I use grease lighting make
Superb vlog as always, I snow foam directly onto dry car to break the surface tension of the grit, rinse off then a second snow foam before the contact wash…..just me I guess…trying to minimise the scratching
Yeah it's fine honestly. Think way too many people overthink it. For me if it was my own car I wouldn't bother with loads of foam but then everyone values their own cars differently
Loads of great tips 👏 with sahara dust an initial rinse makes sense but I’m sticking to my guns and saying a pure water rinse to begin is just pointless if you’re going in with a snow foam after. It’s just wasting water. It will dilute down your snow foam and act as a barrier and retard the detergents. I’s rather blast sand across the paintwork encapsulated in a foam than just water…..
Fair play. The reason I'd say rinse first is because too many people believe that snow foam will remove everything on it's own. For my own car I'd just do whatever but for clients it's just a repetitive cycle of Washing
I done mine this morning. I used snow foam first and then rinsed. Repeated this 3x because my car was quite bad. Then I snow foamed again, I didn’t rinse it off. Then washed it with the two bucket method. It looks immaculate and hopefully I didn’t cause any swirling
Honestly think you'll be fine mate. The way people go on detailing forums you would think it rained volcanic rocks lol. If my own car was good I'd snow foam it 3 times too 👌
Damn Sahara dust ! When it arrived Wednesday ? Although it was raining as soon as I got home from work I got the kranzle set up in the garage and jet washed the worst of the dust off the car. It didn’t really do any justice as the next day it looked exactly the same so today being glorious outside I got to works giving my car a proper pre rinse, then snow foam with autobrite magifoam. Then two bucket wash and dry followed by a quick spray polish and auto finesse mint rims applied to my allow wheels. The car looks amazing but for how long?😳🙏.
All these great videos will help me out when get new car although know what I'm doing the excellent videos give me little extra tips as what can do better. Cheers Dave keep up great channel/work 👍
Good video but I would have to say I now disagree with the pre-foam rinse. I used to be a heavy advocate of it too, until I tried Bilt Hamber Touchless. That stuff is frigging mental at lifting and encapsulating dirt. Like, seriously bloody good. So much so that I now carry a pre-mixed 1 litre bottle of it in the boot of my car and, if the need strike, I can't head to a jet wash, spray it all up while I'm waiting for the machine and boom - shiny, clean car again.
I better go buy some. The only reason I kinda haven't used it is because I'm well aware that people are getting fed up with forensic detailing channel because he keeps posting built hamber stuff so I kept clear because it's basically killed off the popular topics around it but will maybe plan something with few products
@Epic Car Show Detailing yeah I'll definitely give you that. There's no denying John is a HUGE advocate of Bilt Hamber products. It was starting to irritate me a bit too. But, once I started seeing them pop up in Apex Detailing and Chicago Auto Pro's videos aswell, I figured there had to be something worth investigating there if they've managed to cross the Atlantic barrier aswell! Started off with Surfex HD and was very impressed with the versatility of that stuff so I figured I'd try a few other things too.
@@AntEloftheHouseofEl there’s no denying the BH works, my car is black and have little shade except early morning or late afternoon/evening. I did the wheels while the sun was getting lower. Then as I don’t have touchless or any citrus degreaser etc, I hit it with dry with Autofoam at 4% followed immediately with Autosmart Ultra mousse for an extended first dwell. The dwell time is my only criticism really of the BH stuff, not sure if it’s not helped by having the tiny Karcher K2.20. Rinsed bottom upwards. Re-foamed with AF and rinsed top to bottom. Car was more or less clean and was happy to proceed to 2 bucket wash
@C R nah to be honest a Kranzle ain't even getting a thick, dwelling foam out if the BH. But then that's not what it was developed for after all. It's all about the high activity. I do still love Autobrite Magifoam though. Thick, thick, thick foam for bloody days! I've had over 20 minutes dwell out of that sucker before.
@@AntEloftheHouseofEl have used magifoam many years ago and got a good dwell. The AS ultamousse clings really well too at even 1% PIR. I felt the AF below was causing it to slip a bit quicker. Thinking of trying Wax Planet or KKD for summer as I know BH thickness isn’t what it renowned for, doesn’t mean it doesn’t do the job but getting around a black car in summer even in the shade it’s not giving long before patches are drying out.
