Guess what I’m 15 years of age and thought I would to earn a bit of money so built a trailer and attached it to my bike. And now I’m making roughly £50 on a Saturday for doing 6 cars at a basic clean and a hoover but it does the job and my customers are happy.

@@davidf4723 There is loads of videos, a lot in the US of mobile detailers I’ve been watching as I wanna go mobile and a really interesting one the other day was a fella saying he has been doing it 20+ years travelling to peoples homes and business and he has only been asked 4 times does he have his own water and electricity. He can charge less as he doesn’t have the unnecessary overheads like generators and water tanks etc and has much more space in his vehicle because of this reason too. I think it’s personal choice but majority seems to be most people are happy. It’s like having a cleaner round and they use your electricity and water etc

I spent around a grand getting started up, only had the pressure washer before that. Bought economical versatile products that saved a lot of money, started up in June last year, only do weekends so it's slow going but already made my money back, and re-invested it for my website, more products, and tools. Saving up steadily for a new pressure washer. Most people come to my home but if I go out mobile I'm in my Passat Estate. Hoping to get a van when the time is right to further my business :D great vid as always Dave, huge fan and supporter. Keep it up! From Dom's Detailing :)

I love Power Maxed tfr, essential at this time of year. 👍 If anyone is looking for a cheap but powerful snowfoam try non-caustic Snowstorm With TFR Snowfoam from Jennychem, as the name suggests it's a snowfoam with traffic film remover so you can cut out the tfr stage and go straight to this. I've tried many snowfoams like Bilt Hamber Autofoam, Wax Planet 8 Below, AutoGlym Polar Blast but nothing cuts through road grime like this stuff. 👍 It's £16.50 for 5 litres and in winter I only need 40ml of product in 500ml of water. In the summer I can halve it to 20 or 25ml. 😎

Great video with lots of good advice
I started by buying a used valeting van with all the equipment for £2k , theres always people giving the trade up after investing thousands and finding out they struggle to run the business
For chemicals don't forget autosmart, Nielsen's , autoglym , valetpro , jennychem , carchem and autobirite plus loads of other trade suppliers
Most car detailing suppliers sell trade size aswel , Amazon is usually dear for trade products.
For microfibers try paragon microfiber, they supply to the trade and are good quality and very well priced
You always recommend karcher power washers but I didnt get on with them , i found nilfisk a far better machine that's in the same price range
But the ultimate set up is a good Honda generator ec3600 which will power everything and never mis a beat, mines is 7 years old and the kranzle k7 but you'll pay £600 plus for each
You'll find your constantly trying new products and updating your equipment as you work but that's part of the fun in valeting

I agree with Chris Stott - got to have an intermediate (still important knowledge to be gained for most) and advanced level (less relevant I guess as folks will learn more as they go along and develop) presentations. Lots of content here Dave and some useful pointers for all folks with an interest in getting stuck in. I also like the way you respond to so many comments, very polite. Also (and I know it's subjective) I am 'deffo' uglier (and older) than you so don't worry as there's also someone somewhere worse off :)
