Hello Olha! I purchased this Proxxon MF70 Micro Mill earlier this year for my ship modeling hobby, and have loved using it! It has come in so handy and does a great job in shaping some small details. Still learning a bit on how to accurately measure and place stops, as I have simply "eyeballed" some cuts so far. But, all in all, an excellent machine and great addition to my shipyard! Working on the Pavel Nikitin Santa Maria now, then the Constitution! Love your videos! Thank you!
You’ll enjoy having this in your arsenal of tools! A couple things you can do to improve accuracy: The cross feed table mounting holes are oversize which allows adjustment to true up the table to the spindle. Put a small bar, end mill, upside down drill bit etc in the collet chuck, and crank the table (X travel) to one side and adjust so the side of the inserted bit is in the T-slot and close to, but not touching, either side of the slot. Now travel in the opposite direction and watch the clearance between bit and slot to determine which way to move the table to true it up. This is a rudimentary approach, but it’ll get you close enough. Or you can buy a dial test indicator and use it in place of the bit to get ultra precise! Also, square the vise jaw (using the rigid jaw) the same way when mounting it to the table. If you’re lucky, after truing up the vise, you may find that the vise base is dead square with the table front, so future mounting of the vise after removal can be done with a square! I’m really looking forward to your using this machine and reporting your haughty in the coming months! I have a Sherline lathe & mill and love both!
Beautiful piece of machinery, especially with all the ancillary bits. Will look forward to seeing you make full use of it in your expert hands, adding yet another dimension to your wonderful model making.
Really happy to see this tool in your hands! Proxxon has the small 1 2 and 3 mm tungsten carbide end mills. They are extremely sharp and very very good for wood 🪵
Olga, congratulations on your purchase! I had been considering this option for a long time. My favorite tool is an excellent hand mill from Sherline, which works well when you need to create a single part. However, when producing multiple identical pieces, in my opinion, a CNC-whether a laser, printer, or milling machine-is the 'must have' option. I considered Proxxon, but ultimately decided against it as I had the opportunity to acquire a more powerful and precise (repeatability failure = 0.015 mm) machine, which is necessary for processing metal. I am extremely satisfied with my choice, as it allowed me to craft, e.g. perfect 3 mm blocks from pear wood. Additionally, I’m very eager to hear about your experience and am looking forward to seeing the first results of your work!
I recently ordered the mf70 and I was wondering if there's a small drill bit chuck available, and if so.....what model is it?? I've had a difficult time tracking down accessories for it.
This is a high-precision tool, you are unlikely to find a small drill bit chuck. Only collets! If you only need drilling, then it is better to buy a micro drilling press Proxxon, it comes with such a small drill bit chuck...
Every tool can be useful. After all, if you have everything at hand and you don't need to change nozzles, you can work faster. But it's definitely not a necessary tool, especially if you have a Mill like this, or even just a rotary tool with a stand...
@@OlhaBatchvarov I've a pasta maker and over the years the clamp that secures it to the overhang on a unit is away somehow but is to be used as it is hand cranked; woodworking is less force on the workpiece mostly but safety is a must still to me I've never seen a mill on a pillar drill stand it's interesting though so please show us however you decide to proceed

What a lot of fun you are going to have with that Olha!
Impressive machine. Proxxon does make nice precision tools. That divider will serve you well. Enjoy !!
Thanks 👍

Thank you very much for the tips!
the table only needs be parallel in an axis the bed is true fore and aft for metals that clock method is eliminating the last few hundred microns 🧭

I already have the next project in mind, where this tool will be the main one in the work...
I like that you are wearing Proxxon green!

Very nice tool, you will love it!
I love it!)))
Nice! I can’t wait to see it in action!
I am still collecting videos on this…
You’ve got the coolest toys, sorry , an impressive collection of fine machinery. Now you can build live steam launches.
Thank you very much!
That looks a nicely precision minidrill set. when fully mastered it will become the ideal tool to go to. Thank you for the review
My pleasure!
Enjoy this new machinery, you deserve it.
Thank you, I will

A versatile tool well presented! 👍
Thanks 👍
Hi Olha.. I have this milling machine . Great machine it performs very well. Great review.
Thanks 👍
Very nice machine! I can't wait to see what you create with it!
Very soon!
Olha, your going to have to give us a tour of your workshop with your new tools in position.
I do this every year on the birthday of the channel)))) March 15...
Outro nível. Ótima aquisição.
Obrigado
some nice tools in that kit.

Great! I was looking for something like this tool - it's hard to use minidrill because of the tremor in hands...
Yes, with this tool, drilling will become very precise...
That·s perfect !!...
Thank you!
Not shabby, although, I'd rather have the bed be adjustable to it was square to the mill bit. Sure, 0.5 thousandths is small, but it can add up.

@@OlhaBatchvarov I just ordered a tiny drill press to go with it. Thanx for the reply. 😃
Do you think an oscillating sander is essential for a modeler who does scratch building in POF? )))

Nice toy !!! If you can afford it.
I've been dreaming of buying this tool since my third model and finally I have it...
Hello everybody. There's a CNC upgrade available for this model.

5:24 secure to bench somehow 🗜️
I don't want to make a holes in the bench, but I plan to make a stand for the mill itself, which can be clamped to any table
