speechless.. this was not at all how I expected this to turn out. I tried my best while editing this video to hide the name of the campground. after shutting off the camera, I started driving off, and just as I was about to turn onto the main road, I was stopped by the owner. he told me that he just purchased this campground, and he told me all of the plans he has for it. he stated that he felt terrible, and without me saying ANYTHING he told me he was going to refund me.
I didn't even ask, or complain directly to him. I just wanted to write this part in for whoever is reading this. I told him I would love to help him out in anyway possible.. so who knows.. maybe I will be back to this campground after all? (he also said he is 1000% changing the name of the campground, to possibly get rid of the previous owners bad reviews he received) anyways.. this is a rollercoaster of emotions because... I may have suffered camping here for the night, but I also want this new owner to succeeded. maybe in a year I'll do an update return video!! anyways, I love you all, enjoy this video :) xoxo -becca

i seldom like the taste or some brands
For NA beer, several others to try. Miller Sharp, more like an ale, a bit sweet. Clausthaler and Haake Beck have great NA beers. However I prefer dark brews, like from Yeungling Black & Tan(Pennsylvania) or Shiner Bock (Texas beer).

This is crazy. I lived at this campground 21 years ago for about a year. I totally recognized it. And then I looked back when you were showing the map and saw the location. I can’t believe what it looks like. That pool was beautiful back in the day and the campground was in really good shape. There were long-term modular homes, as well as mobile homes. And then the regular campers that would come in and out for the weekends. The house that’s on your right when you first pull in used to be in the office and where the owners lived. Now it doesn’t even look like a house. I can’t believe it. The pond was new when I lived there. Is there even a rec hall anymore? They had live bands every weekend and it was a fully functioning pretty nice campground. Wow just wow. Thanks for sharing your experience. Glad you stayed safe.
I’ve heard it use to be a beautiful place, not even that long ago too!! I just hope they rebuild and bring it back to what it once was

My issue with them is that they are not being honest about their campground and amenities. You can't say it this great place with all these amenities and then families come to stay and it's actually a junk yard.
Girl, I don't get why you are being so reluctant to give a bad review! If they aren't ready to be a bona fide campground, they should say so. Just glad you're safe!
As an RV park manager I appreciate this review of a poor park and your attitude towards the situation....my wife and I took over the management position in our park 1.5 years ago from a poor quality manager who unfortunately was left unchecked and allowed the park to become infested with low quality tenants.... First order of business was to get rid of the said low quality tenants and clean up the Park..... When you have to kick people out the first thing they do is go on Google maps and give you a poor review......so as a consumer it's good to check out a park in person if possible because of let's face it even the best park can't please everyone every time..... That being said the owner of the park really should edit his page to reflect the amenities his Park offers at the given time.... Keep up the good work
Cracker barrel is probably one of my favorite places to sleep in my truck when traveling, clean bathrooms, quiet parking lots and good selection of old school candy

Whoa, that place is really more like a trailer park. Kinda sketchy. Reminds me of a time my wife and I were traveling through South Carolina late at night and decided to book a room online. When we got to the motel, it was in the middle of nowhere all haunted looking, not 1 car in the lot, a boarded up restaurant. We circled the lot and canceled the booking

I was about to say how the campground totally looked like it has seen better days and that the owner must have given up. But then I read your description box and saw your post about him being the new owner and he is reworking it. I however feel as though he should close the listing off the internet until ready for a grand reopening to avoid bad reviews with the new name. Sometimes the book just needs a new cover, that book needs to totally be rewritten though.

OMG this totally reminds me of my rv park experience for about 4.5yrs... i literally seen and heard it all! From my neighbor commiting suicide (i heard the shots) to a 25 yr old girl getting arrested for having public sex outside the bar across the street with a 16yr old, to one neighbor living with 10 dogs and 3 adults in a small RV, to motorcycle burn outs at 230am, to people puking and fighting all night, to cops swarming the area for drunk drivers leaving the bar... These are just to list a few... It was never ending drama, loudness, and dysfunction. P.s. no fire pits lol 🤣🤣

@@Arthurian. Yep, it was a trip. Saved money, got my credit score from a 500 to a 780, and just bought a house this time last year! The cool thing about that RV park was, I lived about 5 blocks from the boat launch, and could go fishing without much planning just on a whim. Also it was a small town without cops, so that was cool too. Milford, KS if you ever pass through, Milford lake is the largest lake in Kansas, and is also the fishing capital of Kansas. Very nice area, but unfortunately has been over ran by rich farmers from Nebraska that have vacation homes there. So on major holidays I didn't use the lake in my backyard, I left town before the craziness took place! I would go fishing on non holiday weekends or during the week. I had good times, but some crazy times too. Memories upon memories lol

I think if I ever make a reservation and can’t find the office, I just park in an open spot I like, and I’m sure they’ll find me or never notice

You should try army corp of engineer sites. I have been staying at many different corp campgrounds since I hit the road full time at the end of July. Most were $28/night but with the interagency pass I was paying $14, and this includes elect. and water. In fact, I am at one now that charges only $12/night ($6 with my pass) since they turn off the electric and water for the winter. Every one I have camped at is beautiful, well maintained, and I really like the off season as right now, with over 70 sites, there is just my van, and 2 tents in the entire place and it has been like that for over 2 weeks. Safe travels.

Place looks like it definitely needs a substantial amount of work before it is ready for guests!! First on the list, get rid of the junk heap building at the entrance! Just a terrible first impression! Second signage directing visitors to the Office. Next clean up the entire park! Have a website that actually reflects the layout of the park, with properly numbered camp sites.. the place currently is a hot mess!! To include the totally unprofessional reception on the phone! Wow, so much to do..😅 and one small suggestion for you, for safety reasons, you should always, rather than letting the worm or lure swing freely when walking and not fishing, let a bit more line out and hook it to an eyelet close the reel, that way it won’t accidentally hook something or someone by accident! Nothing can mess up trip faster than hooking your self or your pup or a bystander 😂.. I have to say you were quite brave to book what appeared to be a lousy campground 😂 I love to fish and consider myself to be a Rabid fisherman! I hope I see you someday on the stream! I hope someday to meet a beautiful woman like you that loves the outdoors as much as I do..keep on fishin’ gorgeous!❤

First thing they need to do is send everyone packing them clean it up then set up proper camp sites then put 1 week limits for camping and no long term “ camping” could lease slots for long term but not for living in the camper

I have friends who run a campground so I KNOW taking something over can be rough....and they've done an amazing job over the past 8 or 9 years. The campground itself is over fifty years old in the community, and it's a nice quiet and serene place. LMK if you want the info and you're looking to do some kind of tour. Reminds me of a time that I went with family/friends to a Grateful Dead concert and the only place we could find to camp/park turned out to be a junk yard. The place was packed too. We got there in the dark. It was one of the worst nights of my life! No sleep, brutally hot the next day. The only fun part was watching people wake up the next morning to realize they were in a junk yard! Oh by the way, beavers don't eat fish.
Oh... I was probably in one of those up-front campers. I try to develop that sketchy look as best I can to discourage other campers from coming around. I like privacy.

I love that you do all these things without a man, your awesome. Marriage came early for me and I really didn’t get to do any young things. I didn’t have a good childhood and one good man comes along and I take it. But now 57 and really want to get out on the road and get RV but my husband is a homebody. 😢

Sometimes "times are tough" because people make it tough. That's like advertising oneself as "Paradise pre-owned vintage cars" and you get there and it's a junkyard.
Pro tip for cooking that soup next time. Sautee the peppers in the pot with a little curry paste before adding the coconut milk and curry paste. Cook the shrimp separately and add after the liquid is added. Also chop up the shrimp before adding to get some in every bite. Not trying to backseat cook but I just want you to have a banging soup next time.

i drove from home in northern PA 3 hours south to state camp area still open it was a winding 60 foot back in down hill & tight road & truck &camper 55 foot it was thought! on line its not flat oh a lot tighter to! i showed up at 11 pm to set up! it was nutso rt 15 closed all exit here one ext from the road it was same route I was lucky! it rained half weekend & i left mat there i not going back it closed after date! same this year next to last camp ( the last camp alone but duck attack over old bread & it feed one to like 40 showed up) i have like a 17 or 18 ft camper higher camper then old one i had & like stretch truck 4 door! haul it with 4x4 truck & off road use it a off grid bunk house camper & storage for fishing & tools & boat use i plan 2 tower & camper and boat suv for boat it gear & stuff friend left!
