The only time you use network mode. Is when you have tweeters, midrange and subwoofer as separate components. You wire all the tweeters to the front output channels on the amp. You wire all 6.5 or 8s or whatever midrange size you have to the rear output channels. Subwoofers to subwoofer channel on amp. You have to wire in this way because you will blow speakers if you don't. These pioneer radio's with network mode and 13 band eq along with the other settings are great. No reason for any external devices. These have everything built in them to make a great sound system if you know how to use them
I recently got a new pioneer and I have stock speakers and tweeters I do however have 2 12” subwoofers should I put it in network mode or standard mode
If the stock speakers and tweeters are wired together, and If you are running the subwoofers from an external amplifier, I recommend Standard Mode. I recommend to setup the front and rear crossovers to 80Hz and 12 dB per octave and the Subwoofer crossover at 80hZ and 12 dB per octave. I have 2 way separate speaker, so 2 mid range and 2 tweeters but for now i am using only 1 couple of rca. and the amp set to 2 channel, should i use standard mode right?
I recommend to use Standard Mode and the Front RCA outputs. Using the Front RCA outputs will make sure you can hear Bluetooth phone calls through the system as well as music from all connected sources. If you use the Rear RCA's in standard mode, you'll hear no phone calls. Depending upon your separates speaker set, you may want to use the receiver's HPF or High Pass filter crossover on the Front output set to about 63, or 50 Hz. This will limit the low frequencies played through the speakers and therefor protect these speakers from damage, until you have a subwoofer installed. I had to reset my Pioneer 5290BT headunit, now it's asking to choose between network and standard. I don't know how the wiring was done. What option do I choose now?
I'd like to help, however, I don't know how the wiring was done in your vehicle either so, I can't tell you one or the other for certain. You may want to contact the original installer to ask for help. Before the system reset, Do you remember if your system had a Fader Control and a Balance control? Or did it just have a Balance Control? If there was no Fader control the system was set up in Network Mode. If you had Fader and Balance, the system was set up in Standard Mode. Does your system use full range speakers in the front and rear of the vehicle? For example: 6.5 inch speakers in the front and 6x9 in the back with no separate tweeters? That's probable a Standard Mode system. Does your system use Tweeters, Mid-range, in the front and a subwoofer in the rear? This could be a Network Mode system. Standard mode is by far the most common. You can learn more about setting crossover points in this video: th-cam.com/video/WvJXYh6vk_0/w-d-xo.html You can find more videos on Pioneer's TH-cam Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics

Also can you help me in another regard. I'm using a Pioneer MVH-G219bt, the basic touch unit in my other car. It's having infinity 2way comps in front and coax in rear. The front tweeters are very sharp and cause headache. Any feature in the headunit to adjust that?
The infinity speakers may have a way to adjust the external crossover to lower the output on the tweeter. I'm not an expert on infinity speakers. On the Pioneer MVH-G219BT you could try to adjust the Equalizer to suit your needs. You can see how it works in this video: th-cam.com/video/d3e8u-YARmE/w-d-xo.html I recommend to try out the factory preset EQ settings such as FLAT, Natural, or Vocal. If that doesn't quite work, I recommend to slowly adjust the higher frequencies while you are listening to the music that causes the headache. Try the 3.5kHz, 5kHz, 8kHz, and 12.5 kHz settings. Lower each one individually until you get a sound that works for you. No. You can have 1 or more subwoofers in Network mode or in standard mode. How do I go to setting to put it on standard mode?? It’s on network

I didn’t have the brake wire connected, I switched it.
why doesn't my mic work? do I have to be in network mode
Standard Mode or Network Mode has nothing at all to do with the microphone. What model number of Pioneer in-dash receiver do you have? You can usually find the model number near one of the corners of the in-dash receiver's screen. How do you know the microphone isn't working? Is the microphone plugged into the back of receiver? Did it get unplugged by accident during dash reassembly? Was the wire cut or pinched during install? Is the microphone installed in a location so it can "hear" your voice?

Thank you for such a comprehensive solution. I'm having 6.5" 2way components on front, stock speakers rear and an active sub. Since i had to choose between the two I selected standard
@@deckerdotto6035 thank you so much for your advice!
So basically network mode is for seperate mids and highs channels not rear
That's correct. Network mode creates a right and left system with separate outputs for High, Band Pass Mid, and Low. Network mode is built for sound quality and control over the system. If you are interested in learning more about Network and Standard mode you may want to check out this video for more information about the crossover and slope settings and what you can expect using Network or Standard Mode: th-cam.com/video/WvJXYh6vk_0/w-d-xo.html Standard mode creates a front and rear system. If you believe you need rear speakers, I recommend to use Standard Mode. You can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
@@deckerdotto6035 so is it mandatory to have 2 subs for a network mode set up?
No. You can have 1 or more subwoofers in Network mode or in standard mode. In many cases, particularly if you are using a mono amplifier, or a stereo amplifier in bridged mode, for the subwoofer, the right and left channels are combined. 1 subwoofer will work just fine. You can find more information about Network Mode on Pioneer AVH-NEX receivers here: th-cam.com/video/3t9zCiIGO7M/w-d-xo.html and more information about crossover settings when using Network mode here: th-cam.com/video/WvJXYh6vk_0/w-d-xo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's You Tube Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
@@deckerdotto6035 Thank you
@@deckerdotto6035 So if I am replacing my factory headunit that does not have an amp from the factory, I simply have small tweeters up by the dash, woofers in the door, and then normal speakers in the rear, I would want Standard mode or network mode? I have a 2007 Toyota Solara SE with no factory JBL/amp/ separate powered subwoofer.
