    Helpful video, but I didn't hear you guys explain WHY to do network mode. The reason WHY is to have FULL control over your crossovers and the ability to change cross points, slopes, and power levels to each driver actively and on the fly, WITHOUT having to tear open your door linings to replace a hardware (passive) crossovers which comparatively is simply impractical. This is a HUGE advantage for the serious car audiophile. Not to mention that the sound is incredibly transparent. I call it nude. Unfortunately Network Mode really isn't that popular, but for the not to faint of heart you should try it. :)

    I just installed an AVH 2300 NEX. I didn't install new speakers/sub/amps yet. So the speakers are all stock. Two door speakers, two rear deck speakers, no factory sub. Radio and Bluetooth audio works fine, but phonecall would not work. Neither the mic input, nor the other person speaking could be heard through the car speakers. I had to switch the network modentobget phonecalls to work. Any ideas as to why standard didn't work?

    In Network mode, can you use the 4 channels amplification that the radio comes as Right High, Left High, Right Mid, Left Mid?

  • @RobHTech
    @RobHTech 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    So, can network mode (MVH-S622BS) be used to run a system active using HU internal DSP, EQ, crossovers, time alignment, etc., and can I use 4 tweeters, 4 mid ranges, and 1 or 2 subs?
    I've been out of car audio for a while. I got a Pioneer MVH-S622BS that has network/standard mode. The problem is that I would like an active system, but not sure if the HU can act as a full DSP or not. Previously, running actively meant all sorts of equipment upgrades, but these HUs today seem to have everything built in, e.g., high pre-amp outs, 31 band eq, crossovers, time alignment, etc. So to me it doesn't make sense to run active and buy an external crossover, etc. anymore.

    • @HighVybeTribe
      @HighVybeTribe 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, so many radios and amp's nowadays all come built in Xovers so the outboard crossover is almost extinct lol

    I wanted network mode as an easy/cheap way to add a 3" mid-range to my system. Using the passive that comes with the component set for the tweeter and mid-range while using the bandpass crossover in network mode for the midbass in the door. (3" mid to be mounted in the A-pillar. Using a 5 channel amplifier.

      I tried Network Mode after 1.5 yrs of owning my 2400NEX. All I can say it wow. Boston Acoustic Rally tweets, Diamond Audio S6.0m mids and 2 Fosgate RFR 2212. Sounds so much better. Only thing is I can get the image to go to the middle of the console like I could with my Alpine 7894. That radio you could literally follow the vocals to the middle of the dash as you clicked the time delay.

    ok im pretty sure my installer wired my pioneer nex 4500 to network mode, it sounds like crap in standard mode and rear speaker arre very low, when i switch to network mode all speakers are equal sound better but too crisp? how do i rewire to standard mode is it just a matter of swapping wires in back of unit?

  • @nickstalhood5380
    @nickstalhood5380 ปีที่แล้ว

    Maybe you could answer this question. I have a pioneer nex2600. I hooked up my rear view camera to it an all was good, but one day it stopped working. I just have a black screen with a tiny little guide up in the left corner of the display. I've checked an rewired the connections from both the radio an the rear driver reverse light. I replaced the video cable. I even bought a new camera and it just gives the same black screen. I did a factory restore just in case i hit a video setting option. The only thing i haven't tried yet was unhooking the parking brake bypass since i didn't think it would have anything to do with the reverse feature. Do you have any idea what could be going on?

      happens the same to me. i am planning to upgrade my pioneer to a newer model but my actual radio can set HPF to listen on front and rear speakers mid and highs and send low to the rear subwoofer RCA line out. I use the radio internal amplifier to drive my speakers on the front and rear doors and i use a 2500 watt amplifier for my 2 pioneer 10s subwoofers. So i can see that if i use standard or network anyway i will be having some issues.
      There should be a way to use the 4 channels with internal amp of radio as High Pass Frecuency crossover.

    Had to restore my pioneer and by accident my friend chose network mode and i found that after some playing around i got it sounding the same as standard mode however the cool thing is this..on network mode thete are way more crossover slopes and finer tuning options than in standard mode. So even tho i should be running standard..i think i may leave it in network just to take advantage of the extra crossover features. I mean u can chose 25 40 50hz for lowpass and up to -36db slope in network mode

    • @Jeffdachefz
      @Jeffdachefz 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Network is far superior since you can time align the distance of each tweeter and mid which creates a much better stage. Music is recorded in 2.1 left, right and subwoofer. not left, right, rear left, rear right and sub...
      Thing with passive crossovers in standard, you cant really get a proper time align because the mid and tweets are different distances to your ear. Along with the passive crossover being at a set point which may or may not work well with your vehicle's acoustics.
      With network mode you can choose the crossover points that can work best with your vehicle's acoustics and get the absolutely best sound quality from it. Also without a passive crossover network distributing power, you wont have as much wasted energy through all the resistors so your drivers get more power when hooked directly to the amp.
