At 11:44 after listening position option. Why is the mode “Position - All seats” always greyed our? I tried putting a radio source and iPod source to see if maybe it needed to have a source on but everything else works and that setting is always greyed out. Any idea why? Thanks!
If your system is set up in Network Mode, all speakers are considered to be Front speakers and so rear speakers, and rear listening positions are not an option. If the system is set up in Standard Mode, or front, rear, sub, you can see the "All Seats" option is available. You can see it here: th-cam.com/video/Z86fQryoRVk/w-d-xo.html You can learn more about Standard Mode and Network mode here: th-cam.com/video/PeH_h8UHzBw/w-d-xo.html You can find a full How To playlist of videos about Pioneer NEX receivers here: th-cam.com/video/kpKYks-17gM/w-d-xo.html and you can find more videos on Pioneer's TH-cam Channel here: th-cam.com/users/pioneerelectronics
Would having a component set ie tweeters and front door speakers connected to 4 channel amp and 2 subwoofers in the trunk connected to mono amp warrant standard or network mode? I don't have any rear speakers. Just tweeters and 6.5 front door speakers and 2 subs in the trunk
This depends upon the speakers you are using for your mid range and tweeters. There is no one set answer, that's why there is a wide range of crossover and slope options available on the receiver. You need to use the mid LPF to blend with the tweeter in the system. You want the mid range speaker to play high enough to reach the tweeter's safe frequency response. But no so high that it intrudes on the tweeters range. And you want the tweeter to play low enough to reach down to the mid range, but not so low that you may damage the tweeter. I recommend to take a look at the manual for the speakers you are using for your mid range and tweeters and look for the frequency response of each speaker. This will show you the range from high to low, this speaker is designed to play. For example: on the Pioneer TS-D65C I would start my set up with the mid range HPF at about 63Hz with a slope of 12 or 18 dB per octave and the mid LPF at about 3000 Hz with a slope of 18 or 24 dB per octave. I would also set up the High HPF for the tweeter at about 3000 Hz. This is just an example for one particular set of speakers. You can learn more about what happens when you change the crossover and slope settings in this Pioneer crossover video: th-cam.com/video/WvJXYh6vk_0/w-d-xo.html Please take a few minutes to watch this video with the sound on. Would I need to use this mode on my truck? It's a 2012 F-150 that comes with tweeters and a middle from the factory. I also added the Kicker VSS Subwoofer.
In network mode signal from the speaker level outputs is the same as the RCA outputs. If you wanted to wire the tweeters directly to the high output and the mids directly to the mid output it would work. Check out this video for some additional detail: th-cam.com/video/WvJXYh6vk_0/w-d-xo.html
If I have a component set up front, wired through a crossover connected to the amp, and a separate set of speakers connected to the amp as well for the rear speakers is it network mode or standard mode?
If you want to use front and rear speakers, the simplest way is Standard Mode. In Network Mode and when using a 4 channel amp, the most common set up is "A" channel on the amp running the tweeters, "B" channel on the amp running the mid bass drivers, and a separate amp running the sub. Check out this video for more detailed information on Standard Mode and Network mode: th-cam.com/video/WvJXYh6vk_0/w-d-xo.html
I use network mode when i should be using standard and everything works fine. The benefit of network mode to me is the steep -36db slopes on the crossover esp for sub. You dont get that in standard mode
Have a 3400. Can’t figure out how to turn the volume up for the navigation. It says it can be adjusted by the knob but it’s on the music level and can’t figure out how to adjust it.
Can you please be a little more specific in your question. Do you mean adjust the volume for navigation when using Apple CarPlay? you can see it in this video: th-cam.com/video/_P3_aPDLK2E/w-d-xo.html Or when using navigation in Android Auto? you can see it in this video: th-cam.com/video/kpKYks-17gM/w-d-xo.html Or do you mean you have an add on navigation system similar to Pioneer AVIC-U280? No RCA's are being used, its all through the factory harness.

Deckerd Otto it's in standard mode.
I currently have a stock tweeter and mid woofer in my truck, but I'm replacing them with coaxial speakers. Coaxial speakers should be in standard?
