Thank you! I knew there was a way; but not sure how. New to Affinity Designer. Hope you come out with more videos! This video made my sign's engrave look so much better!

Thanks, I was really struggling to figure this out - then I stumbled across this video.

Thanks for this! I did it just like you instructed, but then the centers of the letters were filled in also like the "o" and the "a." I know I could just have a stroke but no fill to cut this out on a laser engraver, for instance, but what if I wanted to engrave it? Ideas?

@@garynunncreative I don't remember the font off the top of my head (not at my computer with all of the fonts at the moment.) Another friend helped me figure it out. It was something weird with the fill of the font. I needed to change the type in the layer menu to "linear" I believe.

I converted my text to curves, moved the letters around, then selected the whole word. The boolean operation does not light up as active. What am i doing wrong?

How can I weld an object inside of a letter? Not a cutout but actually connect the object inside of the letter. I want to make alphabetical letters with images of different designs. for example the phrase "no pain no gain", each letter would have a different design of gym equipment welded inside of it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thx in advance. @rhinoxnation
