Hey, everyone! I'd forgotten to add the price of the 580 in the PCPP link. Obviously, it'd be ridiculous to pay $500 for a used one, and there are far better value cards to choose from based on our in-depth analysis of the GPU market uploaded a few weeks ago. My issue wasn't as much the price as it was the combination of components and said "justification"/misleading remarks in the description. Don't sell a PC like this. And don't defend an advertised "Gaming PC" with 128GB of RAM (unless you're Tavarish 😉).

i don't think this was a gaming pc but most of editing pc in my opinion, its dumb after 16gb is ok but over 32gb is worthless and waste of money to buy for gaming, if this was around 1500 - 1800 usd would be ok-ish to buy it , if he had his research he should search again for the hardware price and cut 20% instant or more for every used part. i hope this situation with mining could be better after summer so I can upgrade my rig. its good that you explain to people who don't know or they can get scam by people who sell used parts like this fool.

He should have just advertised this as a "pc missing GPU" for $1600-2000. That's an all right deal.
The 8gb 580s are in high demand since they are still ethereum mining beasts. You can replace that with a near equivalent 290 or 290x for $200 or less.

He should buy a 16gb budget ram kit and swap that in, drop the price of the rig and sell the 128gb kit by itself on ebay. He could even split the 128gb kit into 64gb kits to attract more buyers.

I am ashamed to say that I did it once with a 3090 that I bought on credit card and sold for £500 profit, as I needed the money, because wife is out of work currently. I don't intend to do it again, as morally I wasn't comfortable and it stressed me out sending such a valuable item. Interestingly though it isn't gamers buying at these prices for the most part. It is miners. The miners are willing to pay the prices, as they can earn £10 per day with a 3080 and when mining becomes less profitable they can be sure to get a lot of money back by selling card on ebay.

What I make up out that ad is that he isn't used to building computers and that he had build a system to work from home but now needs a mobile system again. This isn't primarely a gaming system, but listing it as one will get more traffic for sure. And the fact that he uses 'my loss, your gain' is because it actually is a pretty big loss for him or at least a serious gain for someone wanting to buy these parts. Problem of course is that the combination of parts don't really make sense. 128gb ram, retail (oem) version of windows, rx580 which currently goes for $650 according to pcpp. But if you add ALL these parts up then pcpp gives you a total of $3510.42 and that is even with some concessions. That graphics card doesn't make sense at all, I'm fairly sure a gtx 1660 super would perform better and can be had for the same price (at least now, not sure about 3 months ago). If it's a workstation, wouldn't you want an nvidia card for the nvenc encoder?
Instead of the 3900xt I also went with the 3900x as the current price difference is about $250 now, back around octobre that price difference was around €10 here which I would gladly pay. The psu and ram I went with the black versions, it's not clear on the photo if he did go with those or the white ones to match his case, white ones are more expensive. For the monitor I went with the cheapest one there currently is on pcpp, the LG 27UK650-W 27.0" 3840x2160 60 Hz Monitor. If it is a workstation where color accuracy matters then it might have been a more expensive model I guess, but he should have probably listed what is included. The graphics card is obviously way overpriced currently at $650, but that's what the current market is even though noone buying likes it.
Videos like this make me watch your channel less and less. You make up a pcpp listing and get to about the price of what he's asking for it and just say that with the monitor that you hadn't included it would be around his asking price ... no, it would be $200 over. On top of that you don't include the most expensive part of the build currently, it shouldn't be but in the current market it is. You also don't list the windows 10 pro, you could have at least added the price of your sponsor key even though that is far from what you pay for an actual license. (Don't get me wrong, I also buy the cdkeys for far cheaper, but some people just don't because they consider it a grey area). The extra fan also isn't included, not sure where he put it but it's listed. Also the keyboard isn't included and making fun of him for the way he said you can get a new keyboard for free if you pay the full $2500 price is to me perfectly understandable, but I don't speak english natively. To me that means you can bargain on that price, but if you don't and pay $2500 he'll add the keyboard. It feels like you've put very litle effort in this video. You looked for a high priced listing, started making fun of the listing while filming, started a quick pcpp list and when you realised you were gonna go over his asking price you stopped adding stuff where the price you got from pcpp was only 2/3 of what it should have been (and is today).
Guess I'll stop typing now as I doubt many will read all this. Considering this is my first time actually reacting to a video on youtube I should probably work on giving shorter reactions.

I gotta say, that I recently built a PC with 5950X and 360 mm AIO in push-pull config, and it took me a lot longer than I expected. Just dealing with 20 fan cables (RGB+power, 3+3 for AIO, 3 at the front, 1 at the back) was a massive pain in the butt. I've built a ton of PC in my life, but not recently, infact that build is replacing my 8 years old 3930K HEDT PC. So - definitely not a couple of hours. Heck, just figuring out how to remove an internal side fan mounting bracket off 5000X case took a lot longer than it should've because the screws were so well hidden under pre-installed cable management brackets, and the user manual had NO directions in that regards whatsoever.
I also installed 128 GB of RAM because I use this PC for work, and you are right - that RAM cost me almost as much as the CPU (which I bought for MSRP). I had to use a 2070 Super video card from my previous PC because there is literally NO GPU in stock anywhere - and I'm not willing to buy parts through unofficial channels like ebay, because, like I said, I use this PC for my business so it's important that I know where to go should some of it ended up non-functional.
