It seems one special option was not present, near the very, VERY end of the game (like, right at the Deus dungeon), Billy gets a new, separate variant of the Jessie Cannon, known as Jessie Blasta.
You are absolutely correct. Originally I thought it was the same animation so I didn't include it but after firing up the game and checking, it appears that they are slightly different from a visual and audio standpoint. Will try to see if TH-cam will let me fix it by adding in the other clip but it's unlikely that they will because we are a small channel. At any rate, thank you for pointing out the omission.
Oh wow fancy seeing you here!
Just with the sound effects you know the Xenogears is an absolute OP machine
Absolute dedication - with timestamps! Thank you so much, legend!
It was my pleasure, thank you for watching!
I would like to see martials arts focused mechs return in a future Xeno game.
Me too
I know this took immense dedication to make. Thank you, good sir.
You're welcome, and you're right. It took quite a bit of time and planning to get all of them, especially Heimdal with the sword and all of Vierge's stuff, but luckily I have 30+ saves already tucked away for recording purposes. Either way comments like this are the ones that keep me going, thank you for watching!
Thank you for this extensive compilation.
You're welcome, Devin. Thank you for watching!
@@TheWeebinar Really wish you could show us all the playable gears in the Battling mode as well as all the enemy gears and their attacks. I know it sounds a bit much but I was hoping to see what their attacks look like. Examples include the Air Walk and Aragonite.
@@mercenarygundam1487 Your wish will be granted in the future but there are a lot of irons in the fire over here so it will take some time. As it stands there is one more video to be made before starting a Gundam Wing related project which will produce 3 more videos but after that there are plans to dig into the Battling Mode. Luckily I have an encyclopedia of saves for Xenogears so it will be fairly easy once I get around to it.
@@TheWeebinar I look forward to it. Also you mind if I take screenshots of them and share then with Xenosaga wiki? The lack of mecha images of the enemy units frustrate me to no end.
My fault, did not get the notification on this one for some odd reason. Of course, you can take whatever screenshots you want, although there may be better sources out there in a more suitable resolution without the overlay.
thanks for bringing my childhood ^^ great video
Thank you so much for all the effort putting all these together! Finally able to see Elly's infinity deathblows! 😃
You're welcome, it was my pleasure to do so. Thank you for watching!
God I miss this game n these times a lot. Nice video
Fuck how the budget constraints still piss me off in depriving us of Omnigears for Maria and Emeralda… 😒
Elly's too, at least as playable gear outside of cutscenes and the Battling Arena. If you're interested here's a good collection of all the stuff that was left unused in the game files: tcrf.net/Xenogears
@@TheWeebinar I knew there was quite a bit of unused content that fell on the cutting room floor. I just wasn’t aware of how much. We really DID lose half the game because of Squaresoft being more dedicated towards making FFVIII. 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks mate for uploadinh
No sweat, it was my pleasure! Will actually be reuploading this whole thing all over again in the not-too-distant future. This one is missing one Special Option and I have much better recording equipment now so it's only a matter of re-recording all of it again. Thank you for watching and commenting!
Best game ever made
This is a factual statement backed by years of scientific study and I will eternally argue against anyone who says otherwise.
I think we will have next remasters announced this or next year:
Final Fantasy Tactics
Xenogears
Parasite Eve
And Final Fantasy IX Remake.
Sincerely hope you're right. If any of those get announced I"ll preorder the shit out of them.
Sad fact is you won't ever unlock most of the level 3 (X and X) and the hyper mode (X) for every character. Even with Fei as the main character and the most we use, but it seems hard to chase the ultimate deathblows, let alone other character. Other than using cheats to unlock them. Sad but true
That is mostly by design, as it typically takes some hard work and time spent in the end game to unlock the best things in any JRPG. Xenogears is even tougher than its counterparts in that regard because it was not actually finished upon release and the system used for learning Deathblows is not properly explained so most people tend to struggle with learning Deathblows at all much less unlocking all of the best things in the end game.
If you or anyone else reading this are curious how to overcome that, check out our Xenogears longplay here on the channel. In it I grind out almost everyone's Deathblows and learn them as soon as possible as well unlocking many other things that, as you put it, "you won't ever unlock".
@@TheWeebinar yeah I know, coz actually this game was originally created for 100 hours+ so it gives more chance for players to explore more of the characters. But the disc 2 cuts were very critical. Like Elly she was suppose to get an act with Emeralda in disc 2 exploring the underground city lab, but the gameplay was cut and being only in story, I believe Rico was very much cut too!
You are correct, according to the development team there was so much more planned for this game that never made it into the final product. Kind of incredible that it was so well received despite being so under cooked. Beyond what you mentioned there's actually some interesting stuff lurking around in the game's files, if you're interested check this page out: tcrf.net/Xenogears
@@TheWeebinar I've visit the link you've given and surprised that more of things I haven't even know before. Given I was only 13 first time I played it on 1998. You know what's more interesting? If the game wasn't shortened, it could be 4 discs, and even more, if they prolong the story and played into the past events back and forth (like FF8), such as:
- Playing as Abel and or Kim at their timelines
- Playing as Lacan at his timeline
- At least Rico and Billy deserves their own chapters, Billy is decently explained, but Rico is very shortened almost like rushed.
I think this game is below 50% of it's true potential, and this game made xenoblade a walk at the park in terms of storyline

Timestamps are not showing on the video's timeline.
Thank you for alerting us, it appears that you are correct. After checking several times there appear to be no errors and I have gone back in and cleaned up the description section so I am not sure what is causing them to not show up. In the meantime I have opened a support ticket about the issue, feel free to send one yourself.
@@TheWeebinar Sounds like an official answer.
Yeah, I already see that you removed spaces and fixed the description a little bit.
I actually googled out possible fixes, here are the list:
- Your TH-cam account must have more than 1k followers.
- Don't forget to add a 00:00 timestamp.
- Add more than 3 chapters.
- Chapters are longer than 10 seconds.
- Timestamps are listed in ascending order.
- Mind the punctuation and spacing.
- Do not include clickable links to chapters.
@@Maxim.Nazarenko Great information there, thank you! It seems likely that the cause is that there are a few chapters that are less than 10 seconds although I seem to remember that they were working at one point so I wonder if that was something that has recently changed. Either way, I appreciate the heads up and I will be accounting for this when I come back around to make a better version of this video with higher quality recordings.
@@TheWeebinar Maybe this information is outdated.
I saw other videos with chapters less than 10 seconds and everything was fine.
Hi! I try learn Shinrai to Weltal, but can't learn and I don't know why? I'm in the last part of the first disc. If someone can give me a tip I'll be happy! Thanks !
Any of the 3rd level gear deathblows like Triangle-X, Square-X, or X-X require you to equip an item to be able to use them. For Shinrai you need to equip the item "Deathblower 3" which you can get from the Kislev Battling Arena or in Krelian's Lab.

How do I unlock gear deathblows?
Not sure what you mean by "unlock" so I'll just address the requirements needed to learn and then use them.
To be able to learn Gear Deathblows you must have learned the corresponding Deathblow for the character when they are out of the gear. For instance, Fei must know Raijin to be able to use Raigeki. Characters will automatically be able to use the corresponding gear Deathblow after that.
Now to be able to use them in combat you must build up a gear's "Attack Level" to the correct value. You do this by just making a regular attack and ending the turn. When that gear gets it's next turn it will have 1 Attack Level and be able to use the the 1st level deathblows that start with Triangle.
@@TheWeebinar Huh, that's strange. I unlocked the Triangle Cross deathblow for Fei without gear form, but even so, in gear form, I don't have this option for some reason.
I thought that Triangle Cross is supposed to be a level 1 Deathblow!
It won't be Triangle - X, it will be Triangle Triangle for Raijin and then Triangle Square for Senretsu. If you're talking about the Triangle - X, Square - X, or X - X Gear Deathblows you have to equip an item called the Deathblower1/2/3 and it will unlock the corresponding Deathblow.
If you want to know more I suggest you check here: shrines.rpgclassics.com/psx/xeno/deathblows.shtml
@@TheWeebinar OK. How do I reenter Bledavik Sewers after defeating Sakhan and destroying Gate 1?
Sadly you cannot get back into Bledavik's sewers at that point. As far as I remember the one and only time they're available is during Bart's infiltration while Fei fights in the tournament.
