Awesome tips, Meghan! I agree that it's important to take on some smaller, easier goals then these large goals that aren't necessarily sustainable. Small steps can become big steps over time! Like the plant-based protein as well. I actually went vegan four years ago and loving the plant based foods. Thanks for the video & keep being awesome!
00:00 🌱 Start with small, attainable steps when forming new healthy habits for sustainable behavior change. 01:09 📝 Set daily intentions to align with goals, focusing on feelings and actions to achieve them. 02:05 🌰 Incorporate omega-3 rich seeds like flax, hemp, or chia seeds into your daily diet. 02:32 🍓 Consume a serving of berries daily for their high antioxidant content. 03:00 📔 Try journaling, whether through stream of consciousness writing or gratitude journaling, for stress reduction and goal setting. 03:53 🍲 Cook extra to intentionally have leftovers, saving time and promoting efficiency in the kitchen. 04:20 🍞 Opt for whole grain options over refined white bread and pasta for slower digesting carbohydrates and higher fiber content. 04:59 🌱 Increase intake of plant-based proteins like legumes, beans, nuts, and seeds for their health benefits. 05:39 😴 Improve sleep quality by lowering the temperature at night, aiming for 60-68°F (15-20°C). 06:18 🧘♀ Incorporate stretching into your routine to support overall health and flexibility. 07:00 💪 Boost your immune system with zinc-rich foods, vitamin D, good sleep, and antioxidant-rich foods like propolis. 08:07 🐝 Beekeepers Naturals' Propolis Throat Spray can support immune health and soothe sore throats with its natural ingredients. 09:16 🍽 Practice mindful eating to focus on chewing, slow down, and tune into fullness cues to avoid overeating. 10:35 🌳 Get fresh air daily, whether by spending time outdoors or simply opening a window, for mental well-being. 11:05 🛁 Take showers or baths as a form of relaxation and self-care, rather than rushing through the process. 11:46 🥗 Consume fermented foods like yogurt and kimchi to promote gut health and support the microbiome. 12:51 🦷 Floss regularly and consider using a water flosser for optimal dental health. 13:04 💧 Aim to drink half your body weight in ounces of water per day, and enhance water with electrolytes or trace minerals. 13:32 🍽 Avoid skipping meals, especially lunch, to maintain balanced energy levels and prevent overeating later in the day. 14:16 🍷 Drink alcohol in moderation and pay attention to how it affects your body and overall well-being.
if you hate Journaling like I do! Or if your really busy, try doing a weekly page. Each day you can rate your sleep, your overall day, or even your anxiety that day! Or just one or all. I usually pick a color and quote of the week and I put in a few things I would like to achieve that week (things like cleaning something, finishing a book or even getting a good rest etc.)and it helps me plan out my week easier. Sorry if this explanation sucks!
Can I just say how lovely the transitions are?! All of these are wonderful tips & I appreciate how many examples you provide of different types of foods - thank you!!
Hi Meghan! Your mission to promote holistic wellness is inspiring. Looking forward to your tips and lifestyle inspiration. Here's to a healthier, happier you! 🌱✨
Great tips, I feel a whole lot better and have more energy eating whole foods and not processed. I started doing yoga daily a year ago and I everything shifted from there... really excited when your video popped up.❤
Your videos are so motivating and at the same time peaceful! I don't get that anxious stressful side of motivation I feel with other videos....thanks so much for your wise advice Meghan!!
I also love to add plant based proteins to my meals, but I substitute the carbs! Meat is high in zinc and so many other good things, and I surround it with veg and high protein carbs like lentils or chickpeas. Best way to optimize protein!
I was listening to this video, actually doing some other stuff but every so often turned to watch as these habits were of great interest to me. You have hit quite a few that I haven’t thought about for a while. I love your zen personality as it’s almost comforting- so thank you - I am now a fan and will look forward to future videos ❤️
Wonderful recommendations, and just the right amount of time spent on each one! I think the one that resonated most with me was eating berries. I used to eat berries who very day and then stopped for some reason. Why? Thank you for the nudge to begin again! "Seeds" resonated, too. Years ago, I ate ground flax seeds every day, and that habit went by the wayside as well. Chia seeds intrigue me....I may start with those. Anyway, I loved your ideas, and I feel inspired. Thank you! 🙂
Oh wow! I don't know if you ever saw it but I commented a while back that you would look great with bangs then I see now that you have them! very nice. I haven't been recommended a video from you in a while so my apologies if that was changed a while back
Protein is the way to go! Woo hoo! Sometimes it is hard to make enough food for leftovers when you have two teen boys to feed. hehe. Thankfully my baby is not eating all out foods yet too. I did not know that about turning the temperature down! That so makes sense. I wonder if that will help my baby sleep better at night then. My husband is afraid he'll be too cold, so he has been cranking the heat a slight more than normal. I drink so much water that it caused me bloating issues for a while, so I am learning to tone it down. I was having a gallon or more. I never have had wine or any alcohol ever. While I have heard some benefits of it, I have heard negatives too. I just stay away from it due to genetic issues. Anyway, fun list. Thank you for taking the time to make it and work on it.
What is the issue with seed oils? I realized when you were talking about adding hemp, chia etc. seeds to meals that it's obviously not ALL seeds that are bad. I keep hearing seed oils are bad but nobody ever says why. Are whole seeds good but oil bad?

I thought legumes don't have all the essential amino acids like meat or eggs do, except maybe soy.
