I agree that Len'en's stages are weird. To me it almost feels like you have to learn the enemy spawns and shoot them as they spawn because yeah they fill the screen with bullets so fast if left alone. I don't love it as it means that first playthroughs are hell and later playthroughs can almost be too easy once you start killing everything before it shoots.
Those flowers ain't useless Getting 3 or more petals unlocks the TLB, you still get the good ending if you lose (Winning just gives you the good ending + alpha in terms of jynx) Also, extra lives are earned by score, so having a score multi means you rack more extra lives Also yeah the stages were very wonky, JynX's idea of enemy squads sounds good on paper, but not really lol
Istall fonts (guide is on lenen wiki) to remove squares and install enlgish patch (same (it is simple, just drop files into game folder with replacement)) Dialogues in this game series is quite good imo and they are more complex than can be expected from genre
yay I got a shoutout! :D as someone who's gotten a 1cc in every game, it is really just instant kill or fail, with only a bit of the patterns being not that. you are really missing out on a lot that makes len'en len'en by not playing with the translation patch and not doing easy extra. Len'en's story is better then touhou's, with everything being connected (and the extra stage being vital for the story). I highly recommend reading the wiki for diolouge or playing through the games translated.
yeah uh kuroji is probably the worst shot in EMS. i play them but only because i want to suffer haha also i definitely won't judge you for doing light mode, EMS is very hard probably my least favorite stages in the series too. I personally find them not too hard once memorized (except for a few sections in s1/s4/s6) but by that point they kinda stop being interesting. Playing kuroji probably made the stages harder since your bomb has very little range, so you weren't able to kill enemies when you bombed and they just kept coming. I don't really think light mode impacted your experience of this game all that much, it's my least favorite in the Len'en series tbh. Really glad that you're playing Len'en though! I love the series a lot, and it's always cool to see people try it out! Also I second what someone else said, definitely recommend the translation patches.
Len'en 2's stages are the worst in the series imo, they force you to memorize them or else the enemies start piling up on you and you get overwhelmed easily. This occurs in the other Len'en games but in Len'en 2, it's much more noticeable. Also, I think the extra stage is the worst one in the series. Since 1 and 2 were released at the same time, it kinda feels like JynX put all their good ideas in 1 and jammed the rest in 2 lol
It took me a while the beat the first game but I managed to beat this game on my first serious try, mostly because yabusame homing is really good for the stages
So... you tired from touhou's bullet hell? How about change genre to a rhytm game? You can try touhou carnival if you want to try something q bit different than dodging bullets.
This looks like a giant ripoff of touhou...the characters, the music, I mean hell, the character in the title screen has a massive hat with a single eye and mouth on it, THATS JUST KOGASA BUT WORSE! wow
Play it. It's free and awesome. It's inspired by touhou, but it's honestly actually really fun. The character in the title is Tsubakura, and they're basically the Marisa of this series. Also, try Len'en 4. It's the largest amount of content in a bullet hell I've ever seen.
so what if it's a ripoff? the game is free. i mean, that's like criticizing nezumi man for being a ripoff of megaman. len'en is worth checking out. it has a bunch of interesting ideas and the plot is really interesting. also, they don't look like kogasa at all, there isn't even a mouth on the hat.

Will definitely keep that in mind for next time then! :)

I'll most likely just download the English patch for next time :)

Loving your content! Keep it up! ☺️
I think the only reason new touhou video haven't come out yet is because he struggle with touhou 15 lol
possibly..
@@SlxxplessNightsDon't worry about it.
len'en is weird in an endearing way, the genderlessness is also fun
It took me a while the beat the first game but I managed to beat this game on my first serious try, mostly because yabusame homing is really good for the stages
oh no

lenen is touhou but good
also yeah jynx based it off touhou but it evolved into something far better

Having an eye on an inanimate object doesn't automatically make them a Kogasa ripoff.
There needs to be more in common.
