Move the rear battery tray to the front. Those holes in front of the Trans are meant for that for better weight distribution. Did it to mine and it works wonders.
I have another free mod for ya, the battery tray screw holes actually fit in front of the transmission, so pull off those 2 battery tray's and put one up front where you actually want the weight!
I use capra sized batteries, so they fit great!
Just ordered a green one and a blue one for my 5 year old twins. I cannot wait to start crawling with them.

The 10-3 is the truck that convinced me to buy an Ecto. I'd seriously like to see this against a deadbolt with the free body mods, tires and a steering link.

If you move that small battery tray to the front you can get that extra you need to make those climbs without adding brass. The small tray has factory dimples that are the exact width for the mounts in front of the servo. It needs minor trimming to fit. I used 2 m3x12 spacers with 2 M3x25 screws.

I got a gt5 with my redcat axe edition and now use it for everything as well. For everything from fast to crawler. Wish I could find a smaller receiver for my scx24s though
i take a soldering iron and melt the edges that i cut on the body . it stiffens the body and makes the body lines last longer.

U could have tried rubber bands as a free mod too
