HUGE CHANCE THIS WILL GET BLOCKED AND DEFINITELY WON'T MAKE US MONEY, BUT WHO NEEDS MONEY; WATCH IT BEFORE IT LEAVES AND IF IT DOES WE WILL WORK TO GET IT BACK UP WITH OUR LORD AND SAVIOR THE EDITOR! WE LOVE YOU ALL!
Thank you so much for the upload.
@@StevieJ-IRLzzz we got you dude
Thank you guys for all you do (reacting, making jokes and just being yourselves). This is a great movie and I hope it doesn't get taken down or blocked.
Next watch southpaw
@@OctoKroolA great comedy you'll guys will definitely like is ..(2002) New guy ..please react to it 🙏
I don't care what anybody says. This is one of the most awesome sports movies ever made.
fr
One of the many underrated movies that definitely deserves a sequel!
would have loved a sequel. but the movie did make money.
There is a sequel
@@forlergusther9716 ?
100%
I look forward to seeing a sequel, tonsee Max all grown. Will he still be in Robot Boxing alongside Charlie, or will there be another rift they have to overcome?
I like how they made Atom lose the fight, but win everybody's heart. Proves you don't need to be the best to be admirable. Just do your best and be yourself.
Ain't nothing wrong with riffing on Rocky. I just wish Real Steal got a sequel where Atom wins
Being morally good is more important than being yourself
It's like "Over the Top" and "Rocky" in one movie.
@@DaemonKeidoI was fine with the ending. It doesn't need a sequel, besides if there was a sequel where Atom beats Zeus, that would be an absolute carbon copy of Rocky. And this movie isn't about Atom. It was about the relationship between a father and his son.
@@DiggitySlice To who? The society that didn't even care they exist or not when they're on their lowest?
We got advanced tickets to see this, and went in just to make fun of it. A half hour in my friend turns and whispers, "Hey, is it me or is this pretty good?"
Wonder what y’all were saying after the movie
This was my son's favorite movie when he was younger. We played it so much its memorized in our home. I wish there was a sequel.
❤
Such an underrated gem. Just an enjoyable feel good wholesome father son dynamic, with badass boxing robots 😂
For all the intense action movies and cool characters he's played, this wholesome mundane role shows just how good of an actor Jackman is.
Shall wish this film had a whole trilogy, it's incredibly underrated
No. This movie stood on its own. We don't need to turn every good movie into a franchise.
18:25 "Are two heads better than one?" says the HEAD on the left. "Nope. Never." says the Head on the right. I think the ring girls' costumes are based on 'Bride of Pinbot.' Hey, does anybody else remember 'Robot Combat League?' (2013) That stultifying robot boxing show that this movie inspired?
It’s filling me with such joy that this movie is getting recognition after all these years 😊
Honestly, for a movie that came out over 10 years ago, the visual effects are still so good (honestly better than a lot of movies today)
You all remember battle bots, right?!
What if we had a combination of that with those miniature mech robots and flying drones!
Flying mech robot battles!
back in the 90s there was a one shot toy with an accompanying comic book about an alien ninja type warrior that came to earth and found out he was the size of an action figure, in that world people programmed miniature robots to fight and it was all the rage.. I've often thought, why cant we have mini action figure sized robots that you program to fight? It would get kids into coding with their parents as a family hobby much like battle bots.
@@mattgarrett2583 sounds like that 1990 movie Doll Man
Battlebots is still going.
The husband and I watched this on our honeymoon back in 2012. What else are you going to do when both of you are feeling sick while on a cruise? We both thought it was really good. It deserves more love than it gets. 😘
Based on the short story of the same name by Richard Matheson, which was turned into an episode of The Twilight Zone in 1963, titled Steel, where a boxing promoter and his colleague try to turn their robot boxer into the next champion in 1974, after human boxing was outlawed.
Matheson wrote a number of short stories that have turned into some good movies - Duel, I am Legend, the incredible shrinking man, and others
@@cliffgraham9892 damn no kidding
I love this movie. Alot of the outside scenes were filmed about 10 or 15 minutes from my house. I remember when Hugh Jackman came to town. People were losing their minds. So much fun.
I saw this movie at the theatre 3 times. It was amazing to see the audience so emotional involved. I always wondered why this movie was not reacted enough.
This movie is so damn good. I legit always get goosebumps every time he watches his dad "fight."
I remember when this was announced people were like 'really?' and it got good reviews and did make money.
It's real,it's steel and it's the octokrool feel letsss goooo I love this film
OH MY GOD ITS THE GUYS THAT MY MOMMA TELLS ME ABOUT!!
Over the top, starring Sylvester Stallone meets robots...
It's a gaddamn shame that this film doesn't has a proper 4K. Let alone this is absurdly in obscurity. This is an underrated gem of a film. 💎
Fight choreography, in this movie was done by Legendary Boxer SUGAR RAY LEONARD
One of the most underrated movies ever I wish we got sequels
Not underrated, this movie made tons of money.
@jessieball6195 critically tho its very underrated, like no one talks about this movie its kinda forgotten
Oh yeah, it's for sure Rocky with Robots. Even the end vote to keep the champ the champ
F*** me if I didn't burst out laughing at "Alright... we fighting some kids!" 😂 watching you guys react to things is like watching movies with friends and saying shit like that haha. Great reaction as always ❤
Birds do in fact get killed by windmills. (some move really damn fast) But what kills even more birds, are buildings. You can look up full on compilations of birds just flying into stuff that's not even moving. They are indeed 'slow'.
Also solar farms. There's a solar farm in the desert that routinely fries flocks of birds that fly over it.
This movie NEEDS a sequel made by Amazon 😂 they seem to be on a winning streak with television 😂
I saw this movie in IMAX when it came out. That was such an amazing experience!
One of those movies that deserves a sequel, but never got one.
Until I looked it up, I was basically convinced that that little kid was the same guy who played Anakin... But then I thought about it and said oh wait, they can't be the same age...
Bruh that kid would be in his 20s when this came out
@@DiggitySlice yeah exactly. That's kind of why I had to rethink it. He just looks so strikingly similar
Actually, he's the kid who played young Thor in the first Thor movie.
Man, the action in this movie was absolutely awesome and brutal. It's a movie that captivates your ass to your chair. However it was also a turning point for both the father and sons' lives which added that extra element to make the movie complete. Great movie guys. Thank you for the watch.
Rockum Sockum Robots: The Movie is so good. This is one of most underrated movies, up there with Reign of Fire and Blade: Trinity.
Sugar Ray Leonard actually helped Hugh Jackman with how to look and fight like a boxer
This movie is one of the many reminders that 2011 was filled with Great Cinema
Top tier movie facts, loved it as ah kid
When I first watched this movie some years ago, I still can't wait for a Real Steel 2.
Because this film is Really Awesome
Really good movie, hope the reaction stays and isn't taken down. Yes, it also reminded me of "Over the Top" but it was still an excellent movie, that crying scene was great.
I remember seeing this one in theaters and it was almost packed. Maybe 10 empty seats. Honestly, still in my top 5 best movies seen in theaters. Thanks for the awesome movie reaction.
I know it's meant to be a feel good story about the underdog based on a short story etc. i can understand a training bot being durable, it's meant to be beaten on, but if it can take such a beating, why isn't it more commonly used or why don't most bots seemed to use it as a basis and build up on that?
I always figured it was a training bot that was worked on privately by someone with real passion.. a Mick type character that died and since it looked like an old training bot no one bothered to boot it up and tossed it to the scrap yard.
@@mattgarrett2583 I guess that would explain why it had a Shadow Function, a tinkering project some guy was working on in his garage etc.
@@mattgarrett2583Probably also for same reason that while defense wins the game both in football (soccer for you yanks) and basketball, it is not talked about as much or draws the crowds as much as scoring or slam dunking as it isn't as spectacular.
I really like this movie. I remember when i first saw this, i yelled "Up and at'em, Atom" during the fight with Zues
As a product of times gone by I grew up with Rock'em Sock'em Robots and understood the 'Knock his block off' scene with the Japanese Robot. You can find the commercials for that toy here on the tube.
Not Adam. Atom. The little guy that's so powerful.
I've always said this was a blend of Over the Top, Rocky (I and IV especially), and No Holds Barred (where the big baddie Hogan fights in the end is also named Zeus).
Absolute best 80s film made in the 2010s.
Still hoping in a Real Steel 2...
So, does anybody remember a reality show on SyFy Channel that had giant fighting robots? I believe Chris Jericho hosted, the bots weren't fully independent-they had a 'pilot' that would control the bot's arms and torso with an exo-suit. A second would control the feet and movement. There were like 6 or so of them with similar overall designs but different weapons. Robot Combat League i think it was called.
This is one of those movies in the same group as like Night at the Museum or Zathura. Just because it isn’t a masterclass of storytelling or the that ending doesn’t make you question your life, doesn’t mean that automatically makes it a bad movie. My favorite movies across the board are the ones that are fun, regardless of how “good” the critics call it
Thank you for the reaction to this movie 🎥
@36:35 "Right in the the Nuts and Bolts" needs to be a short.
Those giant windmill blades can actually get up to 150 mph at the ends.
So to answer your question if a bird flew into it, the bird would die.
Hope you two are having an great and awesome day ❤
I always wanted a sequel to this. A very underrated movie.
It's basically like Over the Top with a sci-fi twist.
Wolverine; Van Helsing; Australia; Rise of the Guardians; Night at the Museum and this good movie for him!
This was one of those unexpected good movie, took everyone by surprise
He been hitting that, he just never stays around and never commits.
This is my favorite Hugh Jackman movie, he just pulls you in and makes you believe that this could be a real story. I love the dynamic between him and the kid with its tension and humor, but also the heart. It deserved a sequel or even a full franchise but we didnt get it, just like Alita Battle Angel.
Saw this in the theater on Father's day, we the audience were losing it by cheering like it was a REAL fight. Now I watch every year on Father's day.
13 years later and they need to make another movie!
Really wished this movie had a sequel 😩
Yes! I love this movie ❤ my childhood!! This movie deserves a sequel 🤗✨
Thank you so much for reacting to this masterpiece!! I love your reactions!☺️👍💖
entire reaction: holy sh** god d***
JEFF was HERE 🤖 🥊
Been subscribed to you guys for over a year now, and I will always love your intros. Keep it real bois.
I saw the trailers for this back in 2010 and people were making fun of it, but I thought it was a cool idea and couldn’t wait to see it. I saw it in 2011 and it blew my expectations. Sadly, I don’t think it did too well in theaters… I think. I’m only guessing it didn’t do well because people still haven’t heard or seen it til this day.
I’m so glad people are now watching it and giving it the recognition it deserves!!!
My wife got mad at me when I watched this fantastic movie with him when he was only 10, but it's a movie that we still love to watch to this day!!
I got my wife to watch this and she’s not into sports or sci fi so she was hesitant but she loved it and it’s one of her favorite movies now
I freaking love this movie I saw it in theaters when it came out with my dad and we both loved it it's a classic to me
We have robot wars in the UK
I'm just now getting the joke of talos gym
Talos was a warrior made of bronze in Greek mythology sometimes he's depicted as a living statue sometimes he's a machine
It's TALLET'S gym
Awesome reaction of my favorite movie and I love Real Steel!!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
React to the film "Last Stop 174", a very good Brazilian film, like "City of God".
So happy you watch this movie it’s definitely underrated and it’s funny. I graduated in 2010 too
Real steel is my favorite movie
Love you guys. so much.. Just a few of suggestions. I'd absolutely love to see your reactions too... "Willow" 1988 - "The Endless" 2018 - "Analyze This" 1999 - "Revolver" 2007 - "Sin City" 2005 - "Heavy Metal" 1981. Please let me know. Again, thank you so very much for your reactions to so many great movies.
I luv this movie it reminds me of my grandfather God bless the dead, who boxed as a young man, when this movie was released on DVD I bought it for him and we watched it together it was one of his favorites and a great bonding time for us this was my last great memory of my grandfather. Miracles and blessings to you and yours ✌️ 💜 🙏.
This movie so damn good, It hits all the right points, and at the end of it, it really is a movie about family, which you don't see much anymore, it is absolutely criminal they never made a sequel for this, they easily could have had a trilogy, with charlie fighting to get full custody of Max again, they could have had Evangeline lilly's character more in the sequel, and them forming a beautiful little family, fighting their way through to the championships and actually winning, there's so much more they can do with this movie and they just shelved it, like I said absolutely criminal.
Love they caught the 'over the top' vibe
22:18 That line cuts deep… 💔
The big wind turbines have 260 feet blades that rotate with 200 mph at the tip.
For another great movie about an "odd" sport, watch "A Knights Tale" with Heath Ledger. it's about the Medieval sport of Jousting.
Omg yes I wanna see them watch that if they haven't already
This movie was amazing I remember watching it in theaters with my twin haven't seen it then definitely gonna have to watch this
Damn. I have something to do. Damn you 2 for posting this a half hour ago. I suppose I'll be late again
Oh, shit. This movie is totally up you guy's alley. Basically Rocky with robots, but what's not cool about that?
As soon as I seen Real steal I immediately clicked
sequel needed!!!
This movie was definitely good. It deserves a sequel. And the music called "give it a go" by Timbaland, I work out to it every time!
For the record; I'm rewatching already gents. I have also wondered if this movie had to pay royalties to stallone even tho he didn't appear
The closest we'll ever get to a Mike Tyson Punch-Out movie.
This is the kind of movie that was so good that I was glad there wasn’t a sequel because the chances of them ruining it were too high.
The mobile game based on the movie is better than expected. I beat it %100 twice. All the movie robots are in it.
This movie is way cooler than people give it credit for.
I really liked your review of real steel guys, watched the whole thing - was nailed on subscribing when I heard the FF7 outro though! awesome!
I still have this movie on DVD! Love it!
Fun fact shawn levy is directing the upcoming deadpool and wolverine He also directed the night at the museum trilogy
This movie was made for the boys. Haha. Great reaction 👊
Such a underrated gem
THIS is such an underappreciated movie! I think you guys are gonna love it. If im right then listen, im a little too poor to put money behind it but you guys need to check out Lucky Number Slevin if you've never seen it. Its another hugley overlooked movie with alot more cursing and blood, but you'll laugh. And maybe cry. Or at least feel a large emotional swell.
The tapirs would watch it.
I love this movie so much.I recently showed my stepmom this movie and she loved it too.Because she's a big fan of Hugh jackman From the greatest showman And les miserable So glad you guys are checking this out.Definitely one of the most epic Films It's basically rocky with robots ♥ 👍
Built different 💪🏽😉👑
