Lost my wife, partner the year after this movie came out. My 5 year old at the time and I watched this movie too many times to count. She understood Hero’s loss in her own way, but it also made us both laugh- something we sorely needed at the time. Life’s memories. Thanks for reacting guys.

Maybe in terms of popularity, yes. But they were released a year apart. It did at least get the Oscar that year for best animated movie, so that’s a win!🙌🏾
@@TonyBrionEven though the vast majority of animated folks were unhappy that _Big Hero 6_ won the Oscar and were expecting _How to Train Your Dragon 2_ to win it since it was a better and enjoyable film to their POV.
Big Hero 6 is AWESOME! Love the Stan Lee cameo in it and the relationship between the characters.

Love this movie. Its one of the last kids animated movies to come out by disney that doesnt pull its punches when it comes to emotional depth, has a great plot, great voice lines, great characters, a great soundtrack, and great visuals. Its movies like this that get kids thinking, keep them interested, gives great life lessons, are relatable, and just an overall great experience. Most of the movies after 2015 are... ehh.

Big Hero 6 is another great film from Walt Disney Animation Studios! It has a nice mix of action with the Marvel or superhero based elements, and the magic of Disney with the story, animation, comedy, and heart.
Modern Disney has about as much in common with Walt as the USSR

I flinch every time Hiro gets hit with one of the action figures that falls on him. Literally every time he says "ow", my neck retracts between my shoulders. And literally, the only inflatable costume I would ever consider wearing on Halloween or at a comic convention would be of unarmored Baymax.

I feel like not enough people notice that even before Tadashi took him to the school, Hiro was already getting bored with bot fighting.
Dont believe me? Look at Hiro's face during the bot fight. It wasnt even a challenge.
This movie is underrated and really cute thou. What only bothers me is..there was never a explanation about the fire and stuff.. but it was okay.
I loved how much research they put into grief recovery. Anger is such an important emotion so I love they explored that.
Also fun detail they added that you caught into! When Hiro is saying goodbye to Baymax, look at the reflection in his eyes. It’s not Baymax he’s looking at; it’s Tadashi

Big Hero 6 is actually based off of a Marvel Comic from the 1998 called Sunfire and the Big hero Six which thankfully Disney artists modified for this delightful movie. The comic book version have none of the appeal of this film with Baymax being more reptilian in nature and Hiro having a totally different back story

So you guys know there are actual robot kits that you can use to fight with. They cost around $700ish US. Comes with a bluetooth stand with arms used to control the robot. My uncle has a white and gold version with HUGE puldrins its pretty cool
I loved the show robot wars. I made a sketch and premise of a robot. Creation of my monster wasn't possible to to cost and lack of engineering skill.

I wasn’t expecting this movie to be so sad
My youngest cousin is 6 (she was 5 at the time of this story). We showed her this movie about six months ago, and the guy in the mask scared her, so whenever he was on screen, she would run to the door of the room and peek out from around the doorframe to watch, but only for a few seconds at a time, and then she would look like she was about to run. It was just funny to watch her half-watching the movie and half-prepared to bolt in the opposite direction. And then she would sit down once Callaghan was no longer on screen until he came back again. But she also insisted on watching this _every day_ for about a month (she stopped being scared of Callaghan after about the third day).
For f*cks sake, it's 2 seconds in and I'm already laughing my ass off 🤦♀️😂😂
I'm from the Bay Area so this movie had a personal touch. Watched in the Emeryville and the crowd loved it. I need to re-watch this as its been years.

Big hero six was an awesome Disney movie, what’s even more awesome is if they took this story and kind of implemented that into kingdom hearts three when they introduced big hero six world to kingdom hearts. they did a continuation of how sora and hero teamed up against a bad guy that ended up being the original Baymax that was lost in the void!!!
What’s cool is this is actually a marvel movie and on avengers age of ultron when tony is picking out his new AI for the suit you can see the electronic card thingy for tadashi.

Actually if they make Big Hero 7 like they mentioned, it supposedly is going to reveal that Tadashi did survive and had amnesia. He was brainwashed to believe he is a villain called Sunfire. It will also allegedly reveal he was present thru events of BH6, observing Hiro when his memories start to come back (this is hinted at when Baymax kept saying "Tadashi is here". He was detecting Tadashis vitals.), and ultimately, climax with him regaining full memories and context and joining the team against the movies real villain.
PARTY FOUL. You cut out Baymax petting the cat going "hairy BABY...hairy baaaby" 😂😂😂

Big Hero 6 is an amazing movie and I really enjoyed watching it with you guys as it was my fourth time watching it😁🔥. I loved Tadashi’s character as that’s a sibling we all need in our lives🔥. My favorite character was Fred as he was hilarious and just a fun character😂👍. I loved the villain “Callahan’s” evil costume design. Loved your reaction/analysis, take care, enjoy life, stay healthy and have a good one♥️

Whats interesting to me is that while Callaghab dismissing Tadashi trying to save his was his mistake is said in an unforgivably callous way it's not exaxtly wrong.
Running into a burning building to save someone is genuinely a really awful idea if you aren't a firefighter, because now the actual firefighters have one additional person they need to save which puts everyone in danger that much longer.
It's an admirable sentiment to want to save somebody like that, but people without the training and equipment aren't the right person to be doing that.

When you were talking about Tadashi's death in the fire, it made me wonder if anybody else knows that the creators of this show used real world physics in relation to fires and how they spread in order to make that scene far more impactful. Because when the outside oxygen was introduced to the indoor fires it causes in increase in the strength and speed of the fires involved and if you add unknown chemicals with high fire ratings then you are bound to see an explosion happen. That is why firefighters are always playing it safe when doing their jobs. Starting with control and information gathering. The smart ones never rush in.

This is a Marvel animated movie, hence why Stan Lee’s portrait was in it. That being said… it also meant that there is an end credit scene.

This is actually my personal fav Modern Disney film, imo I think it’s way better than Frozen lol 😂 but that’s just me, I wish this film could’ve gotten a sequel tho.
This is one of my favorite animated movies of all time. It was super underrated from the get-go. The Stan Lee cameo was pretty awesome, especially considering when this came out. Your patreon patrons were right to steer you to this gem. Side note, if you guys have not watched Kung fury, you should put that on your poles for them to vote on. It's 30 minutes long and maybe one of the in most insane things ever made. But keep up the great work guys!

I loved Bog Hero 6! If you guys are interested, they made a Big Hero 6 animated TV series which reminded me a lot of the original Teen Titans cartoon, now that I'm remembering it.
btw the flying cat in the lab...was an ironman reference , so yeah tony stark is there building a suit for his cat if you will xD

The popular "Disney" RPG game: "Kingdom Hearts" gave us a fun after story for this movie.
Long story short: The first Baymax is brought back and Hiro ends up with 2 Baymaxes.
I enjoyed this movie so much like you guys did. Definitely gave the funny humor at the right time, & some small emotional moments with hero's his brother too. I'm sad we won't get a sequel anytime soon! Another great movie you brothers should check out from the early 2000s is this movie it's legit my favourite to this day. I'm pretty sure you guys will too, it's called Max Keeble's Big Move

I like the callback to the first Avengers movie on the island when Baymax is going on a rampage and attacking professor Callahan. When he is coming thru the fog and Callahan is going thru the supports it is just like the Hulk chasing after Natasha on the ship.
I heard that when they designed Baymax and his movements, they did some research and determined that the cutest sort of walk would be described by a toddler with a full diaper. If you look at Baymax when he's walking, you can never unsee that image. You're welcome.

The Baymax that got trapped in the portal didn't die. In fact it actually canonically comes back as the main villain of the Big Hero 6 world in Kingdom Hearts 3, which I think is pretty fuckin' sick.
