😹"yeah, baby. that's a word MY grandmother made up for *tiny•little people"* & "oh, i can't wait to find out if i'm going to be a godMother or a godFather!"🤣
@ Sure, but I would be skeeved out if my landlord was just hanging out in my living room for hours! 🤣 (Not saying this was not legitimate-I envy this kind of trust/friendship.)
Oh please, please, dear uploader, post the part of the episode where Lucy finally does tell Ricky! She kept trying all day and there was one interruption after the other, then she goes down to the club and has Ricky sing a special song and that's how she tells him. I love that scene! It's funny that in 11 years she never had a baby, this was the early 50's when the Baby Boomers were being born, many women were stay at home moms so they had many children. Most everyone on our block had at least 3 kids. Lots of other kids to play with on our block. The schools were crowded and they had to build another school to accommodate all the kids and hire more teachers. It was great growing up as a Baby Boomer.
That scene your talking about is indeed here in youtube as well. Just type in your search in youtube "We're Having a baby, My baby and me" and it will come right up. 👌😉
It was great growing up as a 'war baby', too! Born 1942. No war memories (too young). Safe neighborhoods (San Fernando Valley, California.) Gentle school experience. Happy days.
@@ginnylorenz5265 Did your dad fight in the war? I hope he came home safely. That was a brutal war and hard even in the US though it wasn't a war zone. It sure is a different world now.
I used to think that Ethel was sort of overweight.....but now she looks just fine to me. Quite trim, in fact. I'm less perfectionistic now, and I'd be mighty glad to look that slim.
But i think she meant they’ve been trying, not that they waited 11 years. She certainly wanted a baby. But she brushed off the idea of being pregnant right away, as if to say after 11 years, she accepted she can’t get pregnant.
reading the book First-Time Blossoms by Emily Harper completely changed how i approached my pregnancy. this ebook gave me the clarity i was looking for.

Haha 🤪🤪
I love this episode. The emotion is real
She looked pregnant too. Her face was so full and glowing. 🥰
That's cause she was! I believe she was pregnant with her daughter
They wrote it in the script because she was pregnant.
No she was pregnant with her son she was actually pregnant with her daughter in the original pilot for I Love Lucy @@EliKat94
I believe she was the first actress to be seen pregnant on tv. But maybe my brain invented that
@83gemm she was!
"Lucy, you don't think you could be pregnancy? " as Lucy looks like she's carrying twins under that cloak-looking coat. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Awww what a lovely response to the news of a baby coming❤❤❤
So happy for Lucy & Ricky! Great episode! 🙏🥰
YESSSS THIS IS MY FAV EPISODE 💖💖💖💖
Love Lucy when she comes back to Ethel😊❤
So funny that Ethel just hungout at Lucy’s apartment while she was at the doctor’s. Times have changed, I guess.
@@BeccaB529 Fred and Ethel owned the building..and yes, times have changed.

Yes, Vivienne Vance was a beautiful woman. In the show her beauty was disguised by her wardrobe, ect.
the tips in the book First-Time Blossoms by Emily Harper are exactly what first-time moms need, itebook helped me feel so much more prepared.
Im four months pregnancy and this scene just makes me cry 🥹🥹🥹
Congratulations! You're going to be so happy and filled with love. 😊
11 years, huh? Would've happened sooner if they'd hadn't slept in separate beds.
😂😂😂
In season 1 the beds were shoved together and they hinted at some friskiness hehe.
I've always loved this episode ❤
She's SO obviously pregnant in the opening scene,,,,
I watched the show that night!
Thumbs, UP.
I love Lucy's outfit, that look on her face is so silly though.
It is realistic, though.
11 years married before having a kid!? Wow, that's a long time!

i wish i had the book First-Time Blossoms by Emily Harper when i was pregnant, it gave me the confidence and calm i needed for my journey
actually she was pregnant when they did that episode
One of my moms shows
if more first-time moms read the book First-Time Blossoms by Emily Harper, pregnancy would feel a lot less overwhelming

Excuse me, but Lucy is not "pregnant". She's having a baby. "Pregnant" is such a vulgar word.
What in the world? There's nothing vulgar about it. 😂😂
😂😂😂😂
@@loriar1027 It's a joke, obviously.
@@loriar1027they couldn’t say “pregnant” on tv at this time for some reason 😭
Correct, they could only say "expecting" back then.
