It's probably because the Brits have a "Cheese Toast" where they put cheese onto bread and then broil it (Or Grill it as they say). I haven't tried it, but it sounds delicious. Or maybe I'm just living under a rock or something.

This is amazing. I made 4 of these and even tho the first one was difficult as I kinda put the breads in after the omelette was a bit cooked so they didn't stick to them and broke and also because I've never even made an omelette before, it was good tho I just had difficulty with the eggs but the 2nd 3rd and 4th ones came out so much better, after I got a hang of it I easily flipped them and the breads were intact on the omelette.. The taste is soo good, I was skeptic about adding milk but it brought out a better taste.. Such a tasty breakfast, thank you for the recipe!! ❤️

thing is this isnt grilled - the bread is heated on a pan and egg is fried, and the cheese is also heated on the pan. so theres no grilling.
