The contrabass trombone is back, and I remember it! I remember it being one of the many reasons that I initially supported you on Patreon, and I’m so happy that I’m still supporting you. Keep up the phenomenal content, Trent!
Contrabass HYPE!!! No, for real, getting a new instrument is always awesome and getting out an instrument you already own is awesome too. Together...oh that's a good day. Congrats on getting your baby back!
there is a band instrument repair school the final exam for trombone repair is they take an old trombone and run over it with a truck lengthwise. your final test repair it to play-ability and looking as close to an undamaged horn as possible . the finished test horn is displayed against a minor repaired horn after a overhaul. so when i saw the damage you showed after the damage i knew the contrabass trombone was not a hopeless cause. i am glad you have it back
It's been a long while when we last saw the contrabass trombone! Glad that you have Snorf back and glad to see it once again in working fashion! Have fun playing it! :]
Congratulations! It is always great to have a cherished instrument repaired and returned. Now to send in one of my woodwinds, that I dropped, to have a tenon pinned when it cracked hitting the floor...
It’s okay Trent. I’m pretty sure that we all drop an instrument in our lifetime. I dropped my trumpet on concrete will going into warm ups at a competition during marching season :))))))))
The mouthpiece looks like a Vincent Bach 24AW tuba mouthpiece. I used to play one, but I changed to a Dennis Wick 1L for Eb Bass and a Bach 7 for BBb Bass.
I have a trombone audition for regional band and I'm so nervous!! It's this Saturday and I have to play my scales, chromatic scale, and my solo. Also you make awesome videos :)
No need to be nervous. You'll do fine. That is if you know all the required material. My freind did the same thing and turned around and got some of the best positions in the band
THE WORST PART IS I DECIDED TO USE MY OLD TROMBONE INSTEAD OF MY NEW ONE AND I CAN'T UNDO THAT. I HAVEN'T PLAYED IT IN MONTHS AND I'M NOT USED TO IT, AND IT'S TOMORROW Oh, Lord...
Ay-yuh, and you should have seen the expression on his face. Carol Burnett couldn't have conveyed that look better! I'm glad to see it's back in good shape, and I look forward to his multi-track videos. I hate to see any instrument damaged, and especially beyond repair.
THE PRODIGAL SON HAS RETURNED!!! One could play on the phrase "Where's the beefer"? (meaning the B-flat CB T-bone) To me, one could say that "The beefer is back"! Glad to see you have it back. Now you can start playing those "belch tones" again.
Insane idea: You should 3d primt one of these (or a tenor at the least) Putting it together would be like the trombone equivalent of assembling IKEA furniture
He would never have dropped it in the first place were he not entertaining us. Seem to recall he took his eyes off the horn when it fell. It was our fault, and therefore we should all support him. ;)
Yes, Contrabass trombone has a different tone. As the name contrabass implies, it has a lower tessitura. Kinda like how an Oktavist or a Contrabass singer sound different from a Bass singer.
Would you have any interest in taking a look at some quintet arrangements of a couple of Bach organ fugues? I'd love some input about the technical considerations in the arranging process. BWV 553 and 555 are done (ish) and the rest are in progress.

Trent Hamilton I

My froon brazil
can anyone tell me what is the name of the intro music?
The first video from you that I saw that has a pinned comment.
The fact that he named it “Snorf” is just the most adorable thing
I used to have a cat named Snorf, so that's where the name came from.
Trent Hamilton that’s even cuter
@@TrentHamilton 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😺😺
This man makes the contrabass trombone look like a bass trombone with more tubing. This thing is actually HUGE

The contabass bass trombone was reason enough but the bonus Glenn Miller made my day!
YES
Really got me in the mood
Glad to see the behemoth is back! Can't wait to see more videos on the contra!
Dang the sound of this beast is intimidating! I play tuba, but this is a different animal!
Don’t hold it with your tuba again :D
I saw this on my homepage this morning and in knew I was going to have a great day. So glad to see the reunification of this man and his contrabass!
your face of surprise when you dropped it so long ago is engraved in my mind
Contrabass HYPE!!!
No, for real, getting a new instrument is always awesome and getting out an instrument you already own is awesome too. Together...oh that's a good day. Congrats on getting your baby back!
I still can’t stop smiling at the fact that you named it “Snorf”
It was absolutely heartbreaking when he dropped it the first time. I'm in tears of joy
Congrats Trent!! The original video was flippin' horrifying. So exciting!

I'd love to do an actual instrument repair course one day.
this location is across the road from the old getzen factory www.badgerstatesupply.com/
they train repairman from all over the US
You can tell how much he loves that thing, the love in his eyes when he looks at it. Sucks that you had to be separated
It's been a long while when we last saw the contrabass trombone! Glad that you have Snorf back and glad to see it once again in working fashion! Have fun playing it! :]
The look on Trent’s face when he gazes upon his beloved...hope Mrs. Trent doesn’t get jealous.
Don't break it again ;)
Congratulations! It is always great to have a cherished instrument repaired and returned. Now to send in one of my woodwinds, that I dropped, to have a tenon pinned when it cracked hitting the floor...
I’m IN THE MOOD to see you drop it again
I’m glad you’ve had it repaired.
Good on you for getting it fixed.
I never knew such things existed. I now know what my next trombone will be
That “yeah” at the end tied it together
Glad you were able to have it repaired.
Yay! I am so excited. I missed your contrabass trombone. RIP
I read the title and description in German! Thank you very much! Love the video ...
It’s okay Trent. I’m pretty sure that we all drop an instrument in our lifetime. I dropped my trumpet on concrete will going into warm ups at a competition during marching season :))))))))
Congratulations
So glad it could be repaired. It sounds---uh---great. Kidding. I may have to look into such a thing myself.
The mouthpiece looks like a Vincent Bach 24AW tuba mouthpiece. I used to play one, but I changed to a Dennis Wick 1L for Eb Bass and a Bach 7 for BBb Bass.
Yes the contra has come back to life!!
Nice to see it back again

I did so bad at all state in Georgia, got a 34.7/100 lol
Good luck man i made all region and it was fun
THE WORST PART IS I DECIDED TO USE MY OLD TROMBONE INSTEAD OF MY NEW ONE AND I CAN'T UNDO THAT. I HAVEN'T PLAYED IT IN MONTHS AND I'M NOT USED TO IT, AND IT'S TOMORROW
Oh, Lord...
Not gonna lie, the way he said “yeah” right at the end of the video made me laugh. Give me a good little chuckle
Wasn’t he comparing it to another instrument and he accidentally dropped it and it like destroyed it?
Jackrabbit yes
Ay-yuh, and you should have seen the expression on his face. Carol Burnett couldn't have conveyed that look better! I'm glad to see it's back in good shape, and I look forward to his multi-track videos. I hate to see any instrument damaged, and especially beyond repair.
Just go find the video amd watch it...he was comparing to a tuba
That definitely happened
We are not going to talk about that
I'm really happy for you,Trent!
I’m glad that you got back your trombone 😀
I remember when he dropped it... it was like when Spider-Man told Mr. Stark he didn’t feel so good....
Anyone else listen to his intro music with headphones and find it REALLY satisfying?
Tommy Harris yes.
Trent Hamilton...You are the reason I joined Trombone. C:

I’m so glad the contrabass trombone is fixed and back! :) 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😀😀😀
This warms my heart
Trent: this thing is heavy...
sousaphone players: hold my beer
Congrats!
Glad to see it Trent
Insane idea: You should 3d primt one of these (or a tenor at the least)

Hooray! Also I just noticed that that is a SNORF branded Contrabass.
3:15 Never heard _In The Mood_ on Contrabass Trombone B4
Gotta love in the mood ❤️
I'm glad snorf is back in working order again
Glad it’s fixed!
He would never have dropped it in the first place were he not entertaining us. Seem to recall he took his eyes off the horn when it fell. It was our fault, and therefore we should all support him. ;)
Fill it with helium ?😉
darylynn621 and therefore it should play higher? Not succumb to gravity?
He also would never had dropped it
had he not been possessed to try and hold it upright by a single brace
He's definitely getting in the mood here
Trent:”i forgot how heavy this thing is”
Me a converted tuba marcher: Ahuh alright
Holy crap, that thing is a shoulder-mounted slide tuba.
You gotta try a cimbasso, love your videos, greetings from Argentina♥️
TRENT, THAT IS ONE HELLOVA TROMBONE.
Love the end of the video. High Bb - ✋*yeah*🤚
The thing is back
Yes yes yes i am soooooooooooo happy for you man i said i would buy you a new one sorry i diddnt😔
*I SAWED THIS TROMBONE IN HALF!!**THASSA LOTTA DAMAGE!!*
that's the sexiest trombone I've ever seen
The amount of times he said we weren't going to talk about the "incident" 😂😂😂
Everyone: I don’t need no rules!
THE BEAST HAS RETURNED
Looks like you got a few of those “shipping dents” out as well. Looks good.
I’m so mean but I laughed so hard when I saw him break his contra trombone in the other video😂
Monty Soto: you jerk
We aren’t going to talk about that, okay?
You are heartless
Monty Soto Tbh, I was too 😂
I cried
Its very interesting that contrabass trombones can play as high as the highest note on a tenor trombone.
I love in the mood
The good ol contrombone makes it return
Remember that one time when Trent dropped the trombone on the floor due to nothing but his own fault? Just kidding, I’m glad it’s back!
Shhhh
YAYYY you restored it!
AYYYYY CONGRATS!!!!
With the slide resistance, just use some lapping compound.
SHE LIVES!! YES!!!
"Snorf" sounds like a badass name and a goofy name at the same time
I have a question: what need is there for contrabass trombones when there is the pedal register on the bass trombone?
Yes, Contrabass trombone has a different tone. As the name contrabass implies, it has a lower tessitura. Kinda like how an Oktavist or a Contrabass singer sound different from a Bass singer.
In the Mood on contrabass trombone :O
He’s back m8s
YAY ITS BACK THE DEEP PART IS AWESOME
how did u end up finding someone to repair it?
Those were lowly staffed notes making Tubas green.
Can you make a video about that two valve trumpet that's over your left shoulder please
My dream trombone.
The 3 part Contrabass Trombone saga has come to a conclusion!
great, i remember when you dropped that trombone, ---but the one guy that disliked this is a dalek
What is that tune that you included for your outro music? It's nice.
It would be awesome to play these
That is my dream trombone
YES
Trombone: You bashed me on the ground and call it 'battle' scars?
FINALLY!!!
IN THE MOOD
Trent Hamilton you have the dopest and the most weirdest instruments in the world lol
Would you have any interest in taking a look at some quintet arrangements of a couple of Bach organ fugues? I'd love some input about the technical considerations in the arranging process. BWV 553 and 555 are done (ish) and the rest are in progress.
Yes, absolutely. You can contact me on Facebook (link in the video description)
Alright, I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts about the pieces I've done so far.
I really love instruments that have a few tone but can still reach high notes
Hi Trent, watched you a long time now. I'm glad its back with you. Have you fought yourself to play brass instruments?
