  • Can we save the 1.0 ecoboost engine having suffered low oil pressure due to the wetbelt (cam belt) failing and blocking the oil pump.
    In theory we can rebuild be in practise Ford don't want you to.

    Great video just shows the days of rebuiding a small engine is crazy money
    You do right buying a recon engine

    I thought before you were going to buy a short motor. Hope the cost still makes it s cheap car for your daughter. Enjoyed the video , what indeed would we do without power tools. Ha ja

      Yes still cheaper than forecourt price but with new engine, clutch, turbo discos and pads.

      Yes there is a Haynes manual. All the torque settings for the engine except crank and conrods.

    If your Fiesta has a dual clutch transmission, you’d be two for two in the massive failure contest.

      Not dual. Mass. But I did install a new 3 piece clutch

    Yeh, i was just thinking can u not get a new or recon engine for less money and hassel ? Then u said ive bought another engine !
    So all good and progress made !

      Yep sometimes you get wiser. Would have been nice to rebuild but not worth the hassle.

    do you have to remove that crank pulley bolt to remove the timing off?
    Might have just saved my life

      Yes unfortunately. And you need a torque multipler to refit

      Yes. £1250 +vat. They give you 2 weeks to return yours or else they charge £400

    easy engine to rebuild one of easier i bean working on .

      @@krzysztofkawalec9937 yes was easy to strip my problem was I couldnt find detials for torque setting to crank and con rods. So in the end bought a rebuilt short motor

      Yes this was problem for my . is end torque 80 nm but is sequence of lossen and tighten . cranck bolt 300nm +90 degre

      I've never had a Honda. Too reliable. I'd never have any spanner time 😁
