can you say more about the core support you briefly mentioned? also, good call on avoiding the body lift, exposing the frame; and on declining a lift in general. looks killer in understated stance.
As a professional window tinter, for the past 23 years, I'll tell you to be sure to not cheap out. I recommend LLumar IRX (Inferred Ceramic). Nice build!

Funny thing I have a 78 Ford f250 custom cab, a 2005 cts V with the 6 speed manual upgraded to handle 1300lbft and a 81 Blazer plus a 78 scout II with positraction front and rear all that needs to be recombined having a LS6 with manual laying around for projects let me know what we can work a collabe on.
On my Chevy K30, I mounted the winch behind the front bumper with a winch plate from harbor freight. The cable exits the bumper where the front license plate is. I have a video on my channel if you want to check it out.
How about interior noise? Ive been thinking about doing something simular for awhile and ive heard some people have issues getting the interior noise to a tolerable level especially long distance towing.
@@grahamgeiger3206 it’s no worse than a 2000 7.3 F350. These truck weren’t quite new. I have added 2 layers of killmat on the firewall and lined the doors 1 layer on the floor I will be doing a 2nd once I get the seats I want
I have a k30 single wheel practically all original and I just have a front to hitch on the front the I have an adapter plate for my winch looks super clean

@@barnyardbuildz I have a steel bumper from Buckstop on a 2010 Dodge 2500. They do offer aluminum. I run an aluminum Genright bumper on a 2000 TJ with a 15,000 Warn winch. I'm not sure of the winch plate thickness on the Buckstop bumpers but I know others offer aluminum too. I think it is a matter of supporting the winch plate properly. Love your build. It looks cool as hell.
6061 or 7075 Aluminum, half the weight and same strength as steel of same thickness. Food for thought. Also, you could Line-X it to help against corrosion if you get into salt or sodium chloride

I'm in the process of building a couple cummins powered square bodies... a 4 door Meg, 6 door, suburban & my 82 gmc single cab with a 96 Dodge frame, Ppump 12V ect. Check out Move bumpers.
You should start a truck company combining the all the best engine/chassis/suspension/brake components from American trucks and ignoring all the stupid elements of modern vehicles. Hell, I want to start that company, but you’re already doing it.
Your in a small circle of people who if they had the resources and knowledge to do this wouldn't complete this project and on such a high level. The big 4 have far more resources than u and their R&D still has mistakes. Thx for sharing it all
@@barnyardbuildz I'm guilty myself of dragging a$$ . I had a 85 Dodge crew cab which I sold to get a Chevy crew long wheel base. Bcuz I didn't have the title on the Dodge. Before I got around to swapping the Chevy got stolen off the farm. So trust me many more of us plan than do ... But you did it.. BIG UP

I recommend drawing up a design for a winch bumper you like and have it cut and welded out of aluminum. No need to paint and keeps the weight down.

It’s a custom build as it is so I say custom bumper. Move Bumpers have some great options. Allows you to customize it while also keeping costs low.
