Truth be told rock and country have been mixed since Rock's inception. Look at Elvis, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Roy Orbison, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Etc. Rock and Country are both derived from the Blues so its not that much of a stretch. However, Hardy is mixing modern country with modern hard rock and even metal. That truly is unique.
