I have the same model. So do my parents. I come from a GE topload family originally. Mom then got the Whirlpool Gold Super Capacity plus. Now I have one! Great machines! I still miss the older top-load GEs though! Mark in Iowa.

This sound of this washing machine is one of my best favourite, even though the sound of many Speed Queen from pre-2018 backwards are very much awesome. Since I watched many washing machine videos of your channel in 2009 to 2012 when I was from 6 to 8 year old, I have really like these many old washing machine with an agitator from many different brands in USA, even though in my country they never sell these machine like this, but not many moderny horrible HE washing machines which are having poor washing result and missing variable water level selection. Thank you very much for a very great video and stay safe from Covid-19 pandemic 👍

Nice agitator. I even see these agitators on the newest (2014-2015) Whirlpool washers, they could be good for direct drives.
The best that the Whirlpool has been able to manufacture in clothes washing machines. Genius in direct transmission and force to wash. For me it is the best that has been manufactured in washing machines. Those of today almost plastic and their components leave much to be desired due to their poor quality and durability.
I know right? This design was so flawless. Such good reliability.
I trashed my HE after it kept eating it’s plastic gears and bought a 2008 Whirlpool DD. I liked it so much I bought another as a backup :) I’m now fascinated with these and find myself repairing them. Parts are cheap and no special tools really, what’s not to like? Who knew?

The return of the mysterious lean. Our 2006 machine has that but it actually swings to the left, never seen it swing to the right.

Hey wat hey what's the difference between the 1990 Whirlpool direct drive and 2010 Whirlpool direct drive is the difference just only of the agitator where you put the fabric softener in with the spokes in the middle

We had a friend with an older Direct Drive, and the tub would always start leaning in the wash portions like this. Never could figure out why though, because the machine itself was perfectly level.
It could probably be a number of things, but as you can see, everything operates just fine! Our 1990 machine is all perfectly centered, so, unsure exactly what it could be.
We want more videos of the washer. Id like you to upload one with the washer washing a medium load? And a small load please ohh and it doigng a permanent press load too. Please and thank you :)
I think it's probably due to the leveling legs on the bottom of most Direct Drive
I had a washer that washed exactly like yours, just high speed agitation but no low speed on the regular cycle, the machine had a 3 speed motor and was a whirlpool gold. But the plug blew a fuse and I thought it was the motor at first so I got rid of it because the motor was too expensive to replace. But now I regret it. :(

Why does the wash tub lean during the wash cycle? I realise my whirlpool washer does the samething.
I honestly have no idea. Our 1990 machine is all centered. But I have seen others do that too.

One quick question. How did you run it with the lid open? I have a 2007 2008 Maytag that is a rebranded Whirlpool, and I don't know how to make it run with the lid open...
Easy! Detach the lid hinge on the left and push it to the "closed" position. You should hear the switch engage.
How much did all these washing machines cost? I can't even get more than one!
At the time, I think this was $400 something.
