Exactly she had no excuse for that but she reasoned her way through everything else that she was saying.. really makes you think maybe most of her manic episode came from her actual feelings.. not that I’m trying to drag her but literally one of her first famous tick-tock‘s was making fun of “ stealing all the baby daddies“ while running around the “hood” she probably has some internalized racism that she’s dealing with..

It just feels like she’s trying to shove down our throats that she was manic so we don’t hold her accountable for the racist and transphobic things. And the fact that she continues to stigmatize mental health by what she does and says to cover her ass. Like she chooses not to pursue a diagnosis bc she might not be able to adopt a baby?? It shocks me what comes out her mouth. She doesn’t even know how she sounds

I worked in healthcare for a long time and saw a lot of "crazy" manic people and sometimes they just spew mouth garbage like they are just saying the randomest things that don't make any sense to what is going on. That's of course giving her the benefit of the doubt. If her claims of this somehow in any way being intentional performance are true then yikes she is truly not a good person.

A lotttttt of people with Bipolar disorder will tell you straight up that they do things they regret. I cant remember his name, but theres a video of a young man explaining how whilst manic he gets arrested, then experiences thoughts like "why would I do that, that was so stupid" but because hes in a manic state - he goes and does it again.
Mania is a powerful state. I think its harmful to insinuate that how people behave whilst manic is a reflection of their deeper feelings and emotions.

Big red flag I just noticed.
She keeps trying to jump between "I'm mentally unwell to the point of being a spokesperson of it and so much so you should disregard my actions" but also immediately follows up with "if I wasn't sane"
Gabbie, you can't flip flop between saying you're mentally unwell enough to be in a cautious position to vilify "haters," and then immediately vilify your FANS for seeing you being mentally unwell and trying to ensure your safety by saying you aren't mentally unwell.

I really wish we had other resources in these situations besides calling the police. Police checks and being 5150-d are truly traumatic and often dangerous. Personally, if her putting her mental health out onto the internet and making people concerned for her wellbeing is causing harrassment from the police who are getting wellness check calls, maybe she should take that as a sign to either consider what she is uploading for more than a millisecond, get some hel or get offline [or at the very least have her manager/agent screen her social media posts] She cant perpeturate the problem and cry about it.

I think we have to remember, if you’re manic one week. You’re not automatically better the next week. It takes weeks of recovery. When she put these videos out we have to remember she is trying to speak from her perspective. Whilst her mood seems fine to everyone. It wasn’t fine. And she’s not going to 100% (shit even 50%) remember what happened throughout her manic. She is explaining what she can, with what little information she has about it. And “trolls” in her head before she was in a mental crisis she did have actual trolls calling the police for a wellness check. So when you’re unwell and you have cops coming for wellness checks you’re now associating it to being the trolls, not good people out there who were genuinely worried. Because that was what it was before trolls. Again we can’t get caught up in what she is saying, cos at that time she wasn’t 100%. She didn’t even need to explain it as fast as she did. But she has. And the strange man thing. It’s what she remembers and what was going on in her head. Not our heads. Hers. In my country if some asked to use the toilet we will most likely to say yup. So let’s not act like she’s the only person out there, that’s done it in the year 2022.
But that dude needs to be held accountable for what he did. You don’t have to be a gabbie fan to know he took advantage of that situation. To gain a following. And it sickens that he had under 1k on his tik tok. Then he had 50k within 24 hours.

Small note: the concept of humanity "being the monster" or the problem or the disease of the earth is rooted in ecofascism. This is all only bc of us, our over population and over consumption which isn't just a first world issue. As much as natives try to protect local ecosystems, it's not enough. Everything about her or that happens to her she describes in the most delusional grander of one self. And I NEVER LEAVE MY HOUSE but that night I left my house because I felt inside me, something pulling at me, and I looked up and a star spoke to me. The star chose me to speak to! And I understood because I know the language of the stars. Ever since I was a little girl I knew the language of the stars. I know some people may have seen twinkling stars before but because it happened to ME, iam the chosen one! As long as you continue putting yourself out there for the world to see this will continue. You have all the control to put an end to this immediately. If this is truly effecting you so deeply that it's contributing to your declining health yet you still seem compelled to document it for all to see is it really as detrimental to you as you say it is? As someone who has had a wellness check done on me I can't necessarily believe her whole story. do I believe she was having a bad episode? yes. do I believe the police came to check on her? yes. but the issues come into play with
    A. the police will knock on the door and ring the bell first not just break a window and bash a door in
    B. they do not put handcuffs on you in a situation like that because they try to make you feel like you're safe. the only reason they would put handcuffs on you is if you during a wellness check is if you either were hostile or the visually saw you try to self harm

And I feel like she takes SOME responsibility for that, but she mostly puts that on her audience. Which is disgusting when we really see how big this snowballed into. GH posts everything so it took her fans to reach out to help the only way they could. She was exhibiting a life risk. Thankfully it didn't end terribly but she let in a stranger into her home during a manic state. If no one reached out, and something happened everyone would have asked why didn't anyone? I've lived on the same street for the past 4 1/2 years and literally the only time I've ever communicated with my neighbor is the beginning of the year when my son's bus driver ran over her dog. And now every time I see her she gives me dirty looks like I'm the one that let her dog out of her house to get hit by a school bus. I tried to help I stayed on hold with the school for over an hour trying to get ahold of someone to take care of the situation. And now it's like she blames me for it. About a week after the incident with the bus my father ended up in hospital and hasn't been home since (this happened in January) and I think she got upset because I had more important things to take care of than the case of the ran over dog. I told her that my father was in hospital with a trake in his throat and is medically sedated and I can't focus on her issues with the school I needed to focus on my family. And I think she didn't understand why I was saying that. And now I'm known as the lady that hates dogs on my street all because I have a life of my own and a family depending on me for strength and support. By the way I don't hate dogs. So I'm in the field of psych, and when she was going through all of those videos and such, I could tell that something was certainly wrong. I cannot diagnose someone based off of the videos of them I see on tiktok, and from what I saw it looked like a combination of substances and underlying mania. I do believe her in all of these new tiktoks, and I am glad that she recognized that she should go back to therapy and no longer engage in substance use. I think what the situation says as a whole is just how shitty some people can be. We have Nick, who tried to be a white knight and literally was trespassing, and we also have the police officers, who although were trying to do their job (and are ill-equipped to do so), were not making Gabbie feel safe and not communicating with their department. I truly wish Gabbie the best, and I hope that her therapist will work well with her to get her the proper regimine. I do want to note that she "boasts" a lot of diagnoses: ADHD (sure, but probably better explained by Bipolar, especially if she wasn't a fan of the meds), C-PTSD (which I do believe, however is not a clinical diagnosis at this time, so just PTSD), and Bipolar (which does encompass trauma and ADHD-like symptoms), many times a laundry list of diagnoses suggests a familiarity with psychology and wanting to accentuate every possible avenue of treatment. I believe that she has a diagnosis, just unsure of which is the most appropriate for her to align herself with.

I have bipolar 1, adhd, and ptsd. A “laundry list of diagnoses” is not uncommon. Insinuating that this isn’t a thing just adds to the stigma of mental illness and the barriers in accessing help. Commenting on her mental health in this way is not in any way helpful

Will not taking meds cause problems with loved ones, jobs, money, etc? Probably. But those are the consequences that come with making a poor health choice, and I think everyone deserves the autonomy to make choices whether good or bad

If you go on a regular basis, you’re more likely to cut down the frequency at which the crises occur. I’ve been going to therapy 2-4 times a month for 9.5 years and I haven’t had a full-on crisis in that entire time. I used to have one like every two years. I wish therapy were more accessible to everyone because I do firmly believe everyone who is open to it can benefit from it.

Also, saw another person comment this and I’m repeating it again bc this person didn’t rlly get noticed so this a second attempt at this info-
Me and this person have both had wellness checks and… police cannot “break into” your house because of this. First of all, they need a warrant or someone calling about a murder or a potential murder to do so… and Second, they will NOT cuff u because of a wellness check. If they were to “break in” they would knock repeatedly loudly BEFORE as well as go to windows in ur backyard to try and reach u before they do their last resort- breaking in. She says she has security so if they really did come and didn’t get a response immediately that’s when they’d start pounding on the door or trying to go in the back which her SECURITY would have talked to them and got her. What she’s saying they did is illegal and bc she mentioned so many illegal things these cops “did”, I don’t think it’s the truth. Again, they DO NOT BREAK IN YOUR HOUSE OR CUFF U DURING A WELLNESS CHECK unless ur acting violently. Have had a few wellness checks ( mental health and my abuse) so yeah :) I’m pretty sure she’s lying

I do truly believe Gabbie did go through a manic episode, but I also think that she's trying to spin it as if she only became manic after Nick arrived when she was clearly already going through it before. I truly don't believe she was thinking as clearly as she claims she is because she immediately let Nick in when he asked to use the bathroom, contrary to her claim that she asked him questions BEFORE letting him in first. The only reason I could think of for why she is now claiming that she was thinking clearly and had everything under control is so she doesn't get taken away. Because otherwise, she would've been endangering herself and that would give the police a reason to admit her to a psych ward, even if she doesn't want to.
I'm glad that she figured out WHY she experienced that episode, and I hope she can use that knowledge to prevent similar situations moving forward, but I also think that she's once again deflecting and shifting blame to anything and everything but herself (ex. her trauma, her bipolar disorder, the edibles, her neurodivergence) and never really apologizing for the things she did wrong. Because she seems to strongly think SHE didn't do anything wrong. It was everything wrong with her that's the problem.

Her talking about her CPTSD and that she smokes weed and processes is made me sad. Weed is a supressing drug, and does the complete opposite of processing trauma. It shoves it down, numbs the pain and makes it easier to ignore. When you go into treatment for trauma, you bring it all back to the surface in order to properly work through it. I speak from my own experience as a PTSD patient. My psychologist refused to start my treatment before I quit smoking weed, which I also did because I thought it was helping me. But all it did was surpress everything for years until one day I got triggered enough for it all to come gushing out, and putting me in a horrible, worse mental state then before. I realised I can't keep running away from my trauma with substance abuse, and have been clean for a month now, will be starting my trauma treatment soon. It was extremely difficult and heartbreaking to accept that I wasn't going to be treated before I quit, but I'm so glad that I did, I'm finally on the right path, and I really hope therapy will get Gabbie there as well.

No instead everyone is a troll. I can understand that the constant harresement public figures get can skew there perspective but you didn't get swatted Gabbie. People called the police to check up on you because they were very concerned. You were not behaving normally and people remember what happened with Etika. They thought you were going to die. Do you not understand that?
You can't act this way and expect people not to react to it. You can't ask people to stand by and watch someone spiral. People don't know what to do to help.
It's not her fault for going through this but she has a responsability in her mental health and an apology for her behavior upsetting someone is like the least she could do.

THANK YOU for putting it into WORDS. The whole ape thing I was just rolling my eyes the entire time...They're wild animals that also attack each other & live by the laws of nature, which in many cases is horrific & thank God we don't have to live in that world. She isn't enlightened for bringing this up and it was completely irrelevant... she worried the masses of fans and even here, after her episode I consider her being smug and self aggrandizing. She was triggered from all the concern.... no clear regrets though

If she’s prone to getting psychotic episodes, she should not be self medicating with cannabis. That’s one thing a cannabis doctor will warn you of when getting a medical card.

so if its a search, a warrant is required. if its a wellness check, cops are legally required to make sure that person is alive or do something if they’re dead/trying to harm themself or someone else. they’re required to break in (or at least get in) to make sure you’re not hurt if you’re not responding to them.
i’ve had cops bang on my door and windows for 10 minutes as i was getting out of the shower because a wellness check was called for my roommate (that’s a long story but she’s okay but had an episode and ran away without my knowledge), then they had to search my house to make sure she wasn’t there and they had me (+all our friends) call her so they could hear her voice. they were in my house for 45 minutes waiting for her to answer someone’s phone so they could make sure she was okay.
it’s terrifying to experience, luckily the cops who came to my house were understanding that i knew just as much as they did about her whereabouts. but it’s required of them and that’s something i appreciate about the police for people like my roommate, who i didn’t know had gone manic and i could help after knowing. but for a public figure i think it’s better for them to contact them prior because of how mean the internet is.

When I lived in San Fernando Valley, California ( it’s right behind Hollywood ) my family and I were very close w most of our neighbors to where If we needed to go to the bathroom for some reason or even take a shower, they let us bc my parents knew them for a little over 20 years ( all my life for sure and I’m 19 ) and we had a pretty close bond. We didn’t hang out with them or anything but we still had such a close bond that they’d allow us to do that and we’re just pretty close… so it is still normal. I lived close to Gabby so our communities are very chill and sweet :)

no because when she was describing how her highs were i was a bit confused..i know it affects everybody differently but i would have assumed any weed you smoke that makes you hallucinate is either laced or just not for you.. idk tho i just smoke it 🤷🏼‍♀️

My mom has severe bi-polar disorder - manic episodes don’t end this quickly; I think that it’ll be another month or two before she’s able to fully explain what was happening in her head without any manic influence

It seems like she’s still trying to explain the reasons why she let the stranger in/ posted those videos - but there’s no explanation for mania

Honestly a little sick and sad right now- I've seen a few others cover her "response" and you are the only one I've seen let her speak. There are parts of this that get so brushed over, or outright ignored by cutting it from their own videos. The expirence with the police hasn't been fully explained other then here and her personal pages as far as I have seen, that makes me exhausted for her. I truly can imagine how much of Gabbies image is pushed onto her by social media, while having her flaws it does seem like she was trying deeply to not feel broken- the constant pecking (bullying!!) From the internet would push me over the edge too.
For her, it is border line trolling. She believed she was okay in the moment, albeit she did need some help, I can see where she's coming from. My heart hurts for Gabbie here and truly hope this is a weird arch towards feeling comfortable WHILE being watchful of herself. It takes time and effort to be a good person.

I wish Gabbie would give me like 5-10k so I could afford groceries for the rest of the year comfortably and be an artist like her. I feel like she owes me that after being a showstopper for a decade.

Since she’s female, BIPOC and mentally ill I feel like calling the cops on her was such a bad move. Most marginalized people in these situations get harmed by police and I feel like more people need to realize this even if you think someone needs help. Police are not the answer especially not in the US. Also weed can trigger mania and psychosis so I think that’s what’s been happening, I’ve seen it happen to bipolar people I know and it’s really unfortunate that they don’t realize the risks. I can’t do weed either because it gives me hellish panic attacks due to OCD so I get not being prepared for having a bad reaction to something people use so regularly here in California.
Also this is all coming from a diagnosed autistic, ADHD, OCD PTSD agoraphobic BIPOC woman myself. This stuff is not easy and I don’t think I’d react well to cops either, I barely react well to my own family when they freak me out lmao. And I’m not a fan of her, I just empathize. The US just really really sucks at managing this stuff so I wouldn’t rely on them to help us neurodivergent and marginalized folks. They literally treat us like trash because they see us as human trash. Honestly if she is autistic it would make a lot of sense to me seeing her atypical social behavior and not knowing how to express her thoughts in the right words, often coming off more offensive than anything else. That’s a hella autistic thing tbh, speaking from experience lmao I cringe at myself in hindsight soooo fucking much

I’m not excusing her problematic nature, it would just make a lot of sense/explain why she has so little self awareness. Us autistic people are kind of notorious for this kind of thing lol… I just wish she knew how to take accountability for the things she may not have meant to say, or the things that came out wrong, because even if the intent was different, it still came out bad and you gotta own up to that despite being neurodivergent. Like I have to do it myself regularly when stuff comes out wrong, and that’s just life. I don’t think being ND should give anyone a free pass. It’s an explanation, not an excuse to spout bigoted stuff (like the weird racism/trans related stuff she said).
