It's good to know they both enjoyed Ghost in the Shell and Prince of Egypt (my N1 animated movie of all time!) Thank you for making this compilation! RIP to two legends.
As you go down the list of films they're reviewing (which is year by year), you can literally see Gene Siskel's health get worse and worse. You see it clearly when they're reviewing The Rugrats Movie and Roger is helping him along on the show. Can't lie, when I was a kid they were 2 film critics I loved to hate. Especially when they hated a movie I loved. But I watched the show anyway loyally and any chance I got. But seeing this now and watching 1 of their health deteriorate on national TV is kinda depressing. Especially when he mentions he had young kids during a cancer battle. But he marched on and did a job he was passionate about
Great job finding all the lost reviews from the 90's animated movies. However, one animated movie is missing from the list. Cats Don't Dance. Siskel and Ebert reviewed it. It's one of my favorite animated movies.
Gene and Roger agree on the appeal of Wallace and Gromit. Just makes Richard seem like all the bigger a dick for his review of “Curse of the Were-Rabbit”. lol
you can tell he was sick, face is gaunt and he speaks MUCH slower than his usual cadence, still love to see and hear him either way , i'm a chicago suburbs native and i grew up with this guys on ch 11 antenna tv lol
Their takes regarding Space Jam and Michael Jordan's ability as an actor are so bizarre in hindsight seeing as how MJ never played a character in a movie that wasn't himself.
Hunchback was terrible. I liked Hercules better. The drawing is more stylized with sharp angles reminiscent of ancient Greek art. The songs actually rhymed and the voice cast was better.

The fact that they were very nice to "Kiki's Delivery Service" is enough to make me forgive them for being aggressively mean to "An American Tail".
No quest for camelot?
@@RafflesProductions I think they didn't review it on the show.
It’s nice to know that Gene got to see and review one of the best animated films, maybe one of the best films of all time before his passing
True, Prince of Egypt is one of my favorite movies ever so I’m glad we got to hear Gene’s thoughts about it along with Roger’s.

It’s one of my favorites too. I couldn’t find their review of it anywhere on TH-cam, unfortunately. Do you know what they thought of it?
