"I know I have no money in my oyster card, but the gates let me in the station anyway..." WHAT??!! Train station staff followed this guy in to the train after seeing him go through the station entrance gates without paying. They asked him to get off the train. He refused to get off the train causing the train to be held at the station for a considerable amount of time. Eventually station staff gave up and allowed him to continue his journey on this train as they are not allowed to touch suspected fare evaders and it would take too long for police to arrive. This caused significant delay for thousands of paying commuters making their way home during rush hour. This train was supposed to stop at all stations from Richmond to Waterloo. As a result of this delay the train changed it's schedule and after the next station, (Barnes), it went straight to Waterloo without stopping at the stations in between. Hundreds of people that were supposed to get off the train at all the stations in between Barnes and Waterloo had to get off at Barnes station and wait for the next train. Also, all the people waiting for this train on the stations between Barnes and Waterloo were out of luck. 16/10/2018.
well.... I tend to think that public transport should be free. The idiot ticket evader didn't hold the train up... the staff did. If they really wanted to get the guy, a highly trained section of likely lads could've done a "snatch and grab" operation at the next station! Or is that Part 2?
Should’ve let the train go and called the BTP to board at the next stop. Also they could’ve asked for details and if he refused they CAN use force to remove him from the station.
@@tobeytransport2802 - I agree that is what should have been done. But they didn't. Instead they just kept the train on the platform, and kept arguing with the guy. And then they let him go, "after" causing a major delay. Not very professional by any stretch of imagination.
Another scumbag, there's a few on every train morning noon and night, they're normally smoking cannabis or vaping on the platform or even on the train dressed in cheap trackies and talking loudly into their phones about utter rubbish all you hear is bruv this bruv that and a lot of inits.

@@ToxicVaccines_HivHoax nope. It’s not fair on the other passengers either
Meanwhile your all happy for your fares to go up, to cover the cost of fare evaders
Bro they will go up no matter what fare evaders or not ,there are so many cause no one is doing anything about it
Fare evaders aren’t the reason they go up, it’s a convenient justification for train companies to fleece you more

Great video I enjoyed this.
Thank you.
But it's not station staff job to follow someone to the station.
For me, ticket machine not working and I thought to buy the ticket whilst on train. After providing identification got issue the fine £150.

@@jxrrqd8851I always pay the fare. It still should be free though, espically for those who can't afford it.
