Those plaques at 22:22 are painted in a traditional Scandinavian style called "Rosemaling" I don't see much of it around anymore, but I took a class in it back in the mid 70's from my high school art teacher.
My mother was a thrifter and I have my parents home filled with all kinds of interesting things. These videos are teaching me a lot about the value of handmade pottery, and wood pieces, and vases.
Yes! They are called 'Atom-Pop Popcorn Poppers,' and were made in Kansas mid-century. Pops every single kernel without burning (you have to remove it from the stove top when it has stopped popping!).
For those of us who are English speakers, all those vowels mislead usand then they clamp on a couple of consonants, but do not pronounce them!...but "ault" (OH) is similar to the "eau" in "beau" (BOH) ...
Sansevierias, or snake plants, do well in dark rooms, and need even less watering in those spots. At least I had one in a dark room and it survived and grew for a year without me watering it but once or twice before I gifted it to someone.
How you know so much information about the items you thrift is simply incredible! That’s why I love watching you! Thanks for such another great video!!
love your channel - FYI my Mom had faux trees in her house in Florida - she dusted them all the time(and had a house keeper who also cleaned them 2x a week)- after she passed(about 2 weeks) my sister and I went to the house to sort it out- both of us thought we were getting a cold- we donated all the trees and as soon as they were out of the house- all out symptoms were gone- I asked my doctor and she said that no matter how much you clean them they can get mold- neither of us ever had a breathing problem before- I also love to decorate with thrifted items- been doing for over 45 years- back when we couldn't afford anything lol- it is more about the hunt lol
@@deborahstone9696I was going to say shower them if you can’t hose them outside!😂😮 I do so with my real plants that can handle water 💦 on their leaves! Be sure all the water drains out before putting them back!😮😅
You are in my old stomping grounds! After moving to Texas I miss my Oregon thrift stores so much. I didn’t realize how lucky I was until I tried to find good thrift stores here. I recognize each store you visit! Love your videos so much!
I loved to go to thrift stores when I was in college in the 1970s. I began collecting then, and I still love it when I find a cool vintage treasure. Thanks for sharing your adventures!
Same with me! I have even been able to identify some of my favorite found items through her posts. Never realized my small, beautiful, divided pottery bowls were designed specifically for eating olives. Never too old to learn something new!!
Not much for fake plants either, BUT those were from Target by Studio McGee and I love her designs. She also uses lots of organic materials. I think the trees will look nice!
Robert Picault was good friends with Picasso and they would work together creating their pottery. I found about 17 peices of his pottery in a charity shop haul for £3 for all of them, great find laura ! 🔴🟡🟢 ❤️
Just found your channel and I’ve binged watched so many videos! Also realized you were in my hometown the last two stops.. a decently small town so I’m shocked it was on your radar 😮
Your Nativity set is hand carved soap stone from Kenya, marketed through 10,000 Villages. They sell for about $49, and the proceeds are returned to the artisans in fair trade practice. If it is like mine, the angel looks like she is holding her head in her hands. Funny design!
The pillows you picked up remind me of the tea towels I picked up in the Cotswolds ( where we saw the small houses and took the amazing picture on the bridge )please forgive me, but I have the hardest time remembering all the beautiful places we went to in the Cotswolds!
Hey Laura, love watching and learning from your channel (as always)! And I'm actually a subscriber. 😊🥰 You can imagine how thrilled I was to hear from another TH-cam reseller say that she ALSO ENJOYS LEARNING from your channel ! TH-cam's The Niche Lady (Danni Ackerman) stated in a recent episode (I Found a $1,000 Score at the Thrift Store!-post about the same day as your own episode) that she learns from your designer aesthetic. 20:57 into her episode, she gives you a shout out. This brought a smile to my face (& a audible cheer: me too!) Don't know if you gals have met, but anyway, you also have reseller fans!
I watch as you go down the isles and see so many things I would buy, what a great thing to see the Good Will stores you have to shop in! I am so envious!
Laura, you’ve inspired me to sell vintage and I just put the same amber decanter in my shop! 😊I have a booth in a vendor mall called Junk Junkies in Roseburg Oregon. It’s a small town, but there are some amazing thrift stores; we also have a beautiful highway of short hikes to waterfalls, just 30 minutes away
Beautiful wood pieces! I don’t mind mixing faux and real plants into the same space- it is all about the right light! And amazing pottery find by the French artist! Love the color and patterns on it!
I love the first blue wooden candle holder and the two wooden spoons that had some black in them. OH! The wooden candle lanterns! Those might have been my favorite. You make me choose? It's soooo hard! I loved the blue pottery bowl too! Oy!
I have numerous pieces of the Myrtle wood. My Mom picked them up when she visited her brother. I have 2 perfume bottles; one still contains the perfume. It is my understanding it is no longer harvested. Love my candle holders, bowls and covered trinket dish.
Gosh almighty!!! I loved everything you got today but my favorites were the blue wooden candlestick, the blue pottery bowl from the estate sale, and the blue lidded jar at the end!! I can't wait to see how you style these 3 things together- or independently!!❤❤❤
Good afternoon lady Always enjoy your videos especially from goodwill. Young lady don't take toxic plants. Enjoy the all natural beautiful plants. With respect that's my opinion and likes. Thank you again for all your videos and thank you for making them fun.👍🤍
TBH, I am sort of glad to hear that you didn’t go to the NW Largest Garage sale, because I did end up doing my first ever booth there and I was going to be sooo sad if I had missed you! You continue to be such an inspiration - thank you for these videos!
Wowsers!! You got some great stuff on this trip! I especially liked the brass pitcher and that geometric wooden candleabra. I love your thrifting videos!
I just started watching your channel and I’m obsessed!!! If you haven’t already you should could check out the Canyonville, Myrtle Creek, Winston, or Roseburg areas. Tons of small towns with lots of hidden thrift store gems!
Now Laura, don't take this the wrong way but this idea came to me for a drinking game, like back in college. If you say Tiki everyone takes a sip. If you say Tiki party, they down the whole glass.
New to your channel and loving every minute of it! Do you have any suggestions for starting a business like this? You’ve mentioned your studio, I assume for photographing your finds for online shop? Do you have a store somewhere too? … so many questions, so inspiring 😊
Any tips for how to clean inside those containers with small openings like the decanters. I love the idea but am leary to reuse those hard to clean containers. Love your content! Thanks.
For this one I filled it up with blue dawn soap and warm water and let it sit for 2 days and it was all gone when I rinsed 🙌 For other bottles or things with a narrow opening I have straw brush cleaners I use and it works on a lot of them.
You mentioned Habitat 😇😇for Humanity. That is Rosalynn and Jimmy Carter's endeavor. Memories to Rosalynn who passed last week.!!
❤
🙏
May she rest in peace 💗🙏💙
RIP,❤❤
What a wonderful couple they were, even building many homes for Habiitat for Humanity over very many years.
Those plaques at 22:22 are painted in a traditional Scandinavian style called "Rosemaling" I don't see much of it around anymore, but I took a class in it back in the mid 70's from my high school art teacher.
15:17 Robert Pea-Co (Picault) ❤️😘🇨🇦 in case you wanted to know
You found some great finds!!!
My mother was a thrifter and I have my parents home filled with all kinds of interesting things. These videos are teaching me a lot about the value of handmade pottery, and wood pieces, and vases.

That checkered dress reminds me of the one Goldie Hawn wore in the movie “Overboard”….😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣
That conical-shaped pot and lid you put back are actually a MCM popcorn popper. I have my Mother's and it makes perfect popcorn!
Yes! They are called 'Atom-Pop Popcorn Poppers,' and were made in Kansas mid-century. Pops every single kernel without burning (you have to remove it from the stove top when it has stopped popping!).
The picture of the church at the end is where I go on vacation almost every year!
I would love to see a show where you are peeling off price tags and how you photograph everything for your online store.
I don't understand how she narrows it down, everything looks similar to me. She is certainly well informed and extremely knowledgeable
he name "PICAULT" is pronounced "PEE-KOH" ... tip from me, a retired French teacher!😊
Thank you!! Hehe I knew I was pronouncing it wrong 😆
For those of us who are English speakers, all those vowels mislead usand then they clamp on a couple of consonants, but do not pronounce them!...but "ault" (OH) is similar to the "eau" in "beau" (BOH) ...
The stir sticks were called swizzle sticks back in the cocktail days of the 50s and 60s.
Sansevierias, or snake plants, do well in dark rooms, and need even less watering in those spots. At least I had one in a dark room and it survived and grew for a year without me watering it but once or twice before I gifted it to someone.
I just got home from thrifting, and now I’m going to watch you go thrifting. Always a good time!😊
I struggle with putting pieces together when decorating so these videos are very helpful for me! That triple candle holder is stunning! Thank you!
How you know so much information about the items you thrift is simply incredible! That’s why I love watching you! Thanks for such another great video!!
The bowl you found to use for poppuori would be great for a sushi roll

WOW! 😮 So Much good stuff!!

Agreed! It looks so good in our living room in a corner with no light. You can kinda see it in the background of the close out scene 😄
Robert Picault was good friends with Picasso and they would work together creating their pottery. I found about 17 peices of his pottery in a charity shop haul for £3 for all of them, great find laura ! 🔴🟡🟢 ❤️

Good morning Lauran happy Sunday morning and I loved your vlogs and you are amazing Supporter and I'm proud of you
My daughter and I went to the garage sale. It was AMAZING! SOOOOOO many great deals on vintage Christmas decorations ❤
WOW you really found fantastic stuff. The goodwill in my city is nothing like the ones you take us to.
They have indeed come a long way with faux plants.❤️
The gnarly wood piece with the glass bulb base is SO AMAZING!!!

So extra in the BEST way!!! Thank you for not picking up junk and jacking up prices and destroying the market. ♥️ much love and respect ♥️
The pillows you picked up remind me of the tea towels I picked up in the Cotswolds ( where we saw the small houses and took the amazing picture on the bridge )please forgive me, but I have the hardest time remembering all the beautiful places we went to in the Cotswolds!
Wooden lamps? LED tea lights hopefully!

I love Junk Junkies! My dad used to take me all the time as a kid I haven’t been in a while I’ll have to come look at your booth!
The lion soup bowl is becoming the new penguin ice bucket. Nice finds, Laura.
Beautiful wood pieces! I don’t mind mixing faux and real plants into the same space- it is all about the right light! And amazing pottery find by the French artist! Love the color and patterns on it!

Nice haul. Like both 3-candle holders.
I collect all the Bob Mackie
I love that wood planter at the end of the video! Lovely
You have a very keen and cultivated eye. Fantastic!
That's cool
I saw you looking at the teak piece with glue gun goo on it. Alcohol is great at getting glue off.
Oh thank you! I’ve never tried to get glue off so I passed. Good to know! Thanks for the tip 😄
I could see you were debating. Mostly hot glue is wax. Freezer works sometimes, too@@leftcoastrevivals
Bob Mackie was CHER designer!! Awesome
The pillows are a morris & co. Pattern. Same pattern is offered as a ruggable design.
TBH, I am sort of glad to hear that you didn’t go to the NW Largest Garage sale, because I did end up doing my first ever booth there and I was going to be sooo sad if I had missed you!
You continue to be such an inspiration - thank you for these videos!
Emmy and Paul, we wish you and all your Family a Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year. God Bless

Wowsers!! You got some great stuff on this trip! I especially liked the brass pitcher and that geometric wooden candleabra. I love your thrifting videos!
I didn't realize it until after I'd bought it but the brass pitcher is signed Italy and worth upwards of $100! So glad I bought it 😄
I just started watching your channel and I’m obsessed!!! If you haven’t already you should could check out the Canyonville, Myrtle Creek, Winston, or Roseburg areas. Tons of small towns with lots of hidden thrift store gems!
Thank you sooo much for sharing the prices...helps me to learn thrifting! ❤
Dear Laura here is how you should write " Hors D'oeuvres" for smalls appetizers.
Such great finds! I love the tiny pottery vase to put lavender in.
Now Laura, don't take this the wrong way but this idea came to me for a drinking game, like back in college. If you say Tiki everyone takes a sip. If you say Tiki party, they down the whole glass.
Being from TX I'm loving the fall foliage!
Hard to watch you pass up things my other thrift shop channel would love 😅 but I do love watching people thrift. Weird times we are livin in. ❤️
I found a super antique basket and a unique pottery piece today, i think you would approve.
I play games like that too. And since I make them up, I make and change my own rules! 😂
A splurge on the $3 stand...you Wild Woman!😂❤
Those target plants look like 420 plants

Artificial plant add angel hair Lites.
I think the carved light sticks crystal are mikasa
If something in a bag at Goodwill it should say as is so people don’t try to return one item at the price on bag
Your style is impeccable
