Laura Caldwell does the best editing of her thrifting vlogs. We see the items on the shelf then up pops the styling of them. At the end of the vlog is a second viewing on the styled haul. I never fast forward her vlogs to get to the good bits because the good bits happen all the way through. Left coast revival vlogs have changed the way I thrift and I have been thrifting for 50 years.
I don’t always like what you pick up but l can’t deny that you make everything work so well when you style them, you have a wonderful eye for decor and furniture styling.
Laura, your knowledge and attention to detail is amazing! You have helped me become more knowledgeable in acquiring items and the decorating/staging of my own vintage booth. I am a much better reseller because of you! Thank you for sharing!
My favorite notification when Laura posts a video>>> WOW...I so wish I could go to this event! You have collected some truly amazing items (as always)! Good luck with the Flee Laura! ❤
You might have it figured out by now but the linoleum mosaic is by Gordon Campbell - looks like he might be a local OR artist, and I can see one that sold on Etsy for quite a bit so maybe the price wasn't so pointy after all! 😃 Good luck with the flea this weekend, I bet you'll have a blast!
Shocked that you walked right past that amazing black horse sculpture! :) 5:29 Ah well, you can't do it all. If it were my space/table; I'd do a midnight blackish green. If you spray that little fake golden handle on that Myrtle wood trio (black) I think it would look awesomness.
Your video popped up in my google feed. Have no idea why, BUT I LOVE YOU!!! I woke up watched several of your videos and got up & went thrifting! THANK YOU
I think the picnic table legs would look great in a taupey grey . I feel that color goes with most colors and isn’t so stark as black , so the woods are the highlight of your back yard.
The RE-Store is so expensive in our area. I wouldn't paint the picnic table. I think it looks good with the chairs. Can't wait to see the market footage!
Thank you Laura for your inspirational videos. My son just moved out into his own home. And you can imagine how fun it is to search for vintage furnitures for him. Artek and nordic teak, old kelim carpets. His kitchen is filled with Arabia and Iittala dishes.
I think navy or bright blue for the picnic table would look great amongst the green in your back yard. And you seem to love blue! Love love love your channel! So inspiring and it just makes me happy!
Great finds and prices! As a rule, we aren't awarded that quality, choice, and certainly not price in the south. I'm sure you will do well at your show and flea with your items. Love your cats, too! I also collect lions, and am a Leo. You too?
Laura, every time you post a video, it’s my turn to post a comment about how much I learn from you. This video is no different! Your videos are so interesting and fun. I did love the lumpy leather sofa by the way! And the studio pottery bowl.
I think paining the picnic table legs black would look very chic. And I have been collecting wooden folding chairs for years; they just look so much better than the common metal folding chairs. I wish I could shop your flea market, your items are awesome! Good luck this weekend with your market.
The little red, white and green sewing basket could be used at Christmastime for taking cookies or other holiday treats to a party! Save it if you don't think you can make a good profit on it.
The flea market will be a total blast especially with all those wonderful items you bought Laura, hope it all goes well an have a fantastic time too,😊❤❤❤❤❤❤
I would paint the picnic table a darker brown leaning green. It would go with your exterior & still be neutral. Our grass turns into pasture grass every summer & naturally returns to green in the Fall.
Watching this video now, with my husband, just had to come on & say hi & how I'm desperate to come to the Left Coast Flea! The problem is,Iwe live in Scotland! 🙈🤣. Yay! Thank you for that real life footage of the workspace breezeway. I am working in my home studio cleaning, organizing, arranging, photographing, and listing items slowly. It’s a mess, and it takes time. Enjoy the process! Love your videos and cheerful countenance. 🤍💛💜
Another awesome video showcasing your great finds!!! I wish I could be at your flea market coming up, I know it's gonna be awesome !!Thanks for sharing, I love your videos, you are so much fun🥰😀👋👋👋
Just in awe looking at your amazing finds whether purchased locally or internationally. You've got good eyes for fine and bold items.I will miss your vintage flea market sale this year. Hope you'll do it again next year like mid or 3rd wk.of July.I would like to attend that event. Please make video of the 2- day event in your next vlog. Thanks a lot.❤🎉😊👍KEEP ON THRIFTING!
@@lenamoore1807 well I'm originally from Denmark but currently working here in Edinburgh Scotland with Tullow oil and gas company while my family are living in Michigan Eastpointe USA, it's a short term contract I came here for and I'm going to complete it in 6weeks time and return back to States.
That table you got at Habitat, the one that opens up from the front, that was a sewing machine case. I have the exact same one with the machine still in it. It’s a beautiful piece of furniture. Hope you do well at the Flea this weekend!
Great finds. Wish I lived closer to go this weekend 😅. However NJ is a bit far. I would paint the picnic table either a pretty sage green or a medium color blue/grey(more blue than grey) to mix well in nature. ❤😊🙏🇺🇲
Whatever color you choose our friend gave us a great tip she used marina paint like you would use on a boat. It repels the water and saves the wood. Hope that helps.
Use Ronson lighter fluid and a cotton ball/pad on stickers. It removes the gluey sticker and doesn’t leave residue. I use rubber gloves when handling the lighter fluid. It works really well on paper too, when a sticker would tear the paper if removed. I also use it to remove any old sticker residue.
Saw you at the West Coast Flea event, tried to say hello but you were with people right and left. We had a great time shopping and admiring all that was there. Hit some Habitat and Goodwill shops the same day…What fun! Thanks for inspiring me after watching your videos. It was fun seeing you in person!
I'm seeing alot of green suggestions for your picnic table....I agree, a sage type of green would be my choice. Nature friendly 😊. Good luck at the flea Laura, wish i could've made it. Maybe next year, but looking forward to your post(s) from it!
Love the redish rugg!!!! Love the marble table and the pianobench My daugther woud love those shackers! You are raying lately Laura. Have a grate sale. I wished I lived closer XXX
Hey Laura…..my suggestion for the table/chairs in your backyard is: 1. For a fun choice….Key Lime. 2. For a neutral choice….consider grey/charcoal. P.S. I’m going to be painting a rusty bike Key Lime. It leans up against a huge oak tree in a big flower bed in my front yard. Also, I just got my new wood slat bench for the front yard. It’s grey/charcoal.
Hahahaha a hot mess😂 I so know what you mean - it gets intense, especially when you're grouping the stock into themes, ev-er-y-thing is laid out. GORGEOUS super happy fun times ahead Laura, you do it girl! 🤠
Hi Laura, good luck at the flea market. I think you should paint the picnic table a coral color. I love coral in the summer, so bright with tropical vibes. I love your videos. Sandie from Texas.
Hi Laura, I think a taupe or sage would be earthy and nice for picnic table. Subtle but pretty and can showcase fun tablecloths of all.. ok most colors! Fun! Debra
Fun stuff! Hope the weekend goes well for you. What about a dark taupe for the table--similar to all the tree bark in your yard? Stays cooler than black in the sun, if you would use it that way. Just a thought--your choices are always beautiful.
If I could go to the flee, the plantstand with the spindle legs...would be in my car a minute after you open! I love it, best of luck to you this weekend!!!
Laura, I have the same wood folding chairs. I really feel strongly that the wooden picnic table should NOT be black. Dark green wood be so much more organic. Black would make it look too deliberate. Sorry, Linda82
The piano bench looks like a coffee table to me.
Me too.😊
A piano bench is usually hinged on top and opens to hold sheet music.
Agreed; coffee table.
90's coffee table

I like your backyard table just the way it is. Looks like a set and it's Neutral and warm like the outdoors of Oregon. Very cohesive.
Looks like you got some polish pottery. I loved shopping in Prague. 😊
I think your garden table would look fab painted in Cotswold Green. It’s a lovely soft green used a lot in the English countryside. ❤
I think it should be a Color too "not black"

The black stemmed goblets styled nicely. Great haul.
I think forest green or urban bronze would look really good on the outdoor table. 😊
Gordon Campbell did the linoleum art piece. One of a bird (using the same colors as yours) is selling for 140.00 on line. Great scores.
Just to add to this. I too identified it as linoleum, which is a natural product unlike vinyl.
Besides having your items displayed, loved how you also showed the reality of having your stuff in disarray in preparation for your sale.
Gotta keep it real 😆❤️
Awesome finds Laura. Your eye for design is remarkable.

I for picnic table, I think a dark green, almost black, or black. Or any almost black color, like deep, dark plum, deep navy. Everything looks great!
Your presentation for the "flea" is excellent!
Great finds! Maybe paint the picnic table a very dark greenish black or dark greenish gray. Something different that the chairs can pop off of.

The “piano bench”, I think, is an actual table. On most piano benches, the seat opens to store music…
