That sounds like the US. Here kn the UK i have seen famous people in supermarkets, restaurants, DIY shops and driving. They tend to be more down to earth people. The fact that they are doing jobs to do with the media doesn't mean they should be treated like gods. I am sure most prefer that people show their "admiration" to them by leaving them alone.
