I was born in ‘82 and Wings were still popular then. I heard Paul/Wings (and George Harrison) before I ever heard The Beatles, I was formally introduced to them by my Mom in ‘94 and of course loved them immediately.
@The SNES Man That's far less preventable though (you'd have to change so much that it might just end up with him being killed earlier by another event)
The irony is that probably most of the kids in the studio didn't know at the time who that nice man was...and years later wish they'd known about his musical awesomeness back then!
For those commenting negatively on James, think about being the son of one of the most famous people in the world. Where or how would you fit in? Always being compared in either appearance, talent or intellect and then the devastation of your mother's fight with and eventual death from cancer. The same disease that killed his grandmother (Paul's mum). Give the guy some slack in he doesn't fit in you mold as a human being. Really pathetic how cruel some people (Dean Martin) can be especially not personally knowing James.

You do make some valid points, shame its in such a mean way. I agree that all he did was write a 'few tunes'. However, those few tunes made people happy. They don't cost much to buy and give a lifetime of pleasure. Not many jobs bring so much happiness to so many people. That said I think the mania around celebs in general is driven by the media and is harmful to ordinary people. I think he is quite a self centred person as are most successful people. I suppose you need to be to get anywhere in this ruthless world.I disagree with the honours system and an entitled, hereditary monarchy. I also disagree that a truly self made man like Paul should want to bow down to one of them.Whatever issues you may have you can't lay it on Paul. He's a human being who had greatness thrust on him. Despite that he keeps his feet on the ground and tries to be a good human being. What more do you want from him?
In all honesty… I think both Paul and James are on the spectrum. I have worked with children and teens who have Asperger’s and hearing stories about Paul as a teen is VERY accurate to what I’ve experienced with those kids. Paul is a true genius so he’s very high-functioning, but he has many tics and behaviors of someone on the spectrum. He comes from a time where men didn’t talk about such things and he’s never been officially diagnosed. But I’m telling you, I’m 100% positive he’s on the spectrum.
It's the first time I,ve seen this clip of Paul on " Going live" How ironic that he should mention it was a high light of his career when he had the honour of speaking to Queen Elizabeth 11 at a royal command performance. RIP H R M The queen.
@Sunday Girl yes you're absolutely right it actually does work for Ringo... I had noticed that also.... and I think it's because his face looks younger . He claims he eats broccoli every single day and loves it .
@@jchow5966 Yes, I know. I meant all his children in general. I'm not english speaker so I didn't know the word for to describe it so i used "sons" for to talk about Mary, Stella, James and Beatrice. I'm sorry for the confussion J Chow!
intresting how paul mentions about maybe being in george harrison "when we was fab "video .......no one knows for sure but there is a walrus playing a left-handed bass in that video?
The video Paul made based in the Rupert the Bear comic was released 1985, so this interview would be soon after it was released as they talk about the music in the film that Paul wrote and performed with Linda & Wings. This means Paul would be about 38 here ( Paul was born June 18, 1942) and his son James ( born 12 September 1977) would've been around 8 yrs old.
Lol, I remember this when it was live ,lol, never saw the point of holding phones though lol, Iit was funny when some guests forgot to talk into it, or like Paul did here, forget to put it down after the calls and still talked into it, lol
in response to the question by PMMJGRL14EV, they had just show the frog song video which contains a kissing sound, and Paul was just explaining that he did tha

Paul knew full well the phone calls had stopped. But he deflects his discomfort at Sarah drooling over him up close, by pretending to talk into the phone. A smart, inoffensive but effective move. He looks his best at this age, facial symmetry and amazing clear features indicative of great intelligence.
@JohnLennon813 Noone is born with an accent, we pick it up from the people around us while we learn to speak! In saying that though, there are many different accents in England, you can travel from one city to another 50 miles away and get a completely different accent being spoken there. Paul's accent is a Liverpool one but as he has spent so many years away from the city, his accent is quite a standard English one and "well spoken".
Paul's hair is gorgeous in this video and so is he!!! Wow!! :):)
The young daughter of a friend of mine was surprised to discover that McCartney had been in a band before Wings. Everything is relative.
That's cute
💖🙏💖😃

paul and james have watched back to the future, that is amazing to me. :) life is complete.
You can tell what he was thinking when he was asked about the time machine....
Saving John Lennon!

@The SNES Man George didn't have cancer during this time
Yep.. he was thinking .. the fun days when they made it big!❤️
Yes.
Nice to see James in there. He's a cute young man :) He probably was 10 at the time. But I'll never tire of Paulie! Thanks for this.
His eyes are so mesmerizing omg
I am watching this, I loved being a kid in the 80s, nothing will ever compare...

This whole thread is a huge yikes from me
Back in those days we thought Paul would always be young. How could a Beatle get old? He is still very cool though, and very relevant.
Little James looks so well raised.
I've liked Paul for most of my life and I've never seen this video before. Thanks.
He makes cute little faces and blows kisses to the girls. I'f be freaking out.
That was so cute.
Paul was so adorable there, and so was James!
very funny! Thanks for the video
5 stars
He is so beautiful oh my god
Yes he is 😍
Simply charming! Amazing guy all around.
Om goodness Sir Paul is so good with kids 😍❤
I think it's kinda cute how james took over the same "headmoves" that paul does.

From the answer to the very last question It seems that could well be Paul behind the Walrus outfit in Georges 'When We Was Fab' video
Thank God we still have Paul and NOT those big Brick antenna cell phones
the british english accent, so beautiful,, american english accent is the oposite
All Paul's sons were so beautiful in their childhood! Beautiful parents ❤

James makes the same as his father! 1:27. He's a little blondie Paul.
James looks like that kid from two and a half men (the comedy series) in this picture.

After watching this interview; strongly suspect that it is Macca in the video :-)
James the son of Sir Paul is adorable
3:58 and 5:57 James moves his hair like Paul!:-))
I looked this up just so I could hear him say my name sarah. nah, I swear i'm not obsessed with paul mccartney at all.

Talent and a whole lot of it!just makes it look so easy,

he just admitted it
he was the walrus
How sweet Is James
Cute Paul interview for sure! Was this '87?
When he was asked the time machine question he should have said, the Dakota building Newyork 1980, to prevent a certian disaster.
"Paul. & the McCartneys " 🥁 🎸 🎶
I love Paul
Okay, Paul, now you're just messing with us, aren't you..!? Playing the part of the walrus! Of all animals! You joker!
Sarah Greene was the perfect English Rose back then so fine !
I used to have a back to the future obsession
anyone else have a slight crush on sarah greene?
No because I'm a girl, but Paul was pretty hot.
Mungeons and Dragons 😗 yes he is.
Someone PLEASE tell me what theyre talking about in the beginning when he says "They couldnt find anybody that could kiss like i could."..
cute!
2:28!!! hahahahahahaha!!! xD sweet Pauuul!! =))
I see little Jame there.:-).
love the cordless phones
Wings was ancient history by this time, but Linda and Paul were still workign together....
The kid behind Paul looks kinda like tiny John
love the cordless phones, the hostess is too chatty
It really is. Other than The Office being filmed there, The Beatles playing is probably the only highlight.
When the question of playing a band with his kids came up, I suddenly began to wonder if his kids have Beatles Rockband, lol!

I live near Slough! To think The Beatles played there of all places.

Are those Nokia or T-Mobile phones ? Samsung ?
You must have very well sence of humour, ma'am. No mobile phones those days obviously.
