I forget which but the KKK was one of the very first encounters I ever had in the game and after massacring the entire Klan I thought “this is gonna be the best game ever” and I was right
I first found them whilst looking for Dutch's pipe (BTW that bear jumpscare in the cabin made me shiyte myself)

When the guy is on fire in the first encounter it reminded me of the Remy Duvall mission from Mafia 3, where you have to kill him, then set fire to him on the cross. It's a long time since I played Mafia 3 but I think it was called "There's A War Goin' On", you have to kill Remy and all of his Southern Union buddies.
I have only encountered them one time. The depth and size of this game is still in a league of its own

It's good rockstar didn't hesitate to add a prejudiced group for the sake of storytelling. Plus, most games involve fighting some type of bad guy; and depending on the game that bad guy needs to lack moral qualities for players to be able to just drop them like bugs. One golden example is zombies.

After playing RDR2 countless times, it still surprised me today. Not sure if any of you encountered this but I was wanted in Valentine as Arthur with a bounty of $150, went out of Valentine to let things cool down then went back to intentionally surrender, so I surrendered then there was this cutscene where I see Arthur laying in his cell when Dutch suddenly comes to the Sheriff`s Office where he talked to the Sheriff, then Dutch and Arthur went out of the Sheriff`s Office without deducting any amount on Arthur`s cash.
Sometimes it's John busting you out by holding them hostage. In my case though, I surrendered in Strawberry and no gang member rescued me, perhaps because I'm at Chapter 6, ended up spending some time inside the jail before I was finally let go.
Yeah with a high enough bounty gang members will break you out. I believe there is one for every jail besides Annesburg. In the epilogue you can have some where Abigail will get you out, especially in Blackwater.
When you get arrested in the epilogue/endless summer Abigail will come and bail you out while giving you a stern talking to.😂

Well, you have to grant it to the KKK in RDR that they never hurt anyone but themselves. So in this respect they are way more sympathetic than the real-world organization.

Honestly, half the time in the game, they're actually kind of funny to laugh at. Kinda makes me wish there were a mission or side mission where they were actually doing something villainous, and the player has to fight them, and you get a reward for winning.
you know what I hate the most? is the fact that other gaming companies wouldn't dare to add something like this in their games even if their intention was to make these kind of people look extremely bad and stupid at everything sadly I hope rockstar games isn't the only gaming company nowadays that would have no problem with adding controversial things in their game.
I ran into another encounter with the clan. Where 2 of them are trying to put up a new cross but its too heavy and it falls and crushes them. A new leader is there too (i killed the 1st one) and i killed him too. I didnt think id get to run into them again but im glad i did lol
I see that Warriors logo on the Strange Man Mysteries logo. My favorite Rockstar game.
I still have the 2nd encounter ingrained in my mind. I had to put the controller down I was laughing so hard.

But it appears you missed the funny, dark-humor nod to the Forest Gump movie. (Easter Egg.)
In the movie, Forest was named after Nathan Bedford Forest. Considered a civil war hero of the South for a long time. Forest Gump mindlessly narrates that the "real" Forest (not exact quote) "helped start some social club." (The KKK.)
He was the organization's first Grand Wizard. So, when the robes catch fire, one of the KKK guys says "Run Forest, RUN!!!!!!"
So, far, I haven't seen a video where any streamer points this out. So few know their history, and classic film. Alas.

I did the "No, No, and for a third time No" mission and after I looted the house I rode out, and then these guys spawned in behind the house lol.

RDR2 got the KKK COMPLETELY wrong which bugs me because they get everything correct except the kkk which is the most ez to get correct
1. KKK wouldn't say "burn" they would say "light" Klansmen light the cross
2. They don't use railroad planks they use branches (big ones before you say anything)
3. The leader (Imperial Wizard) Isn't black he uses (back then) Uses a gold robe with a skull mask and a crown
4. KKK wasn't around in 1899 they first appeared after the civil war but later vanished but the second time around where they first used the iconic white robe was in the 1920s
5. Initiations don't work like that. The initiate doesn't wear a robe until AFTER the initiation (I could explain how they actually do it but it will be to long)
6. Klan doesn't constantly change there ranks they have only changed them twice EVER and it wasn't there names it was the style of there robes.
7. Obv rdr2 was depicting the 1920s Klan (2nd gen) and because of that there would be WAY more members at rallies. Back then the Klan in the united states had 4 million members and Canada 2 million so in total 6 million members
8. There actually was women in the Klan in fact there was an ENTIRE faction of women known as the WKKK
9. Now if Rockstar was depicting the first Klan then we still have a problem as they didn't use the iconic white robe we see today
EDIT: 10. The 1920s Klan didnt act like redneck clowns they were actually quite professional and actually made KKK a "corporation"
(I don't support the KKK I just want to better teach people about history as many schools don't teach this because its "controversial")

The movie was mostly about the first Klan and showing how it was actually good by having them save women etc etc but this had resulted in William Joseph Simmons creating the 2nd klan and making more of a Organization and not a lynch squad like in the 1800s.

Notice how the 3rd klan meeting was super close to down's ranch, could that suggest Thomas downs was originally a part of the kkk, it so, then I don't think Arthur beat him hard enough
I cant teigger the third encounter. Encounters 1 and 2 were easy and I had to wait no time (just 12 hours between them), then, because I did not take Downe's debt, I though thats the reason they did not spawn but didnt solve the problem either. Any suggestions? Maybe I need to wait more days? Because I reloaded my save Manu times already. Thanks and I hope someone can give me a hand in this.

Now, on the one hand, the KKK are abominable. But on the other hand, I do feel like RDR2's devs and writers leaned a little heavily into the whole "we need to make sure everyone knows how much we hate racists"-thing. The player can already do all sorts of horrible things to the KKK in this game if they choose so there was no need to make Arthur have such a clear bias against them, especially considering that attitudes toward black people and natives back then were nowhere near as progressive as they were portrayed in this game.
It's especially glaring with the part where the Racist crier in Saint Denis can be killed and the police officer who is standing feet away will do absolutely nothing. I know it was supposed to be a clever little gift by the devs for people who hate racists but it's so horribly unfaithful to actual historical fact that it makes me a little angry. There's no police officer in the 1890s who would simply turn their back while a white man shot another white man in cold blood on the street.

Despite the KKK appearance on RDR II is quite interesting, there is an historical innacuracy. Because the 1st Klan was dissolved in 1872, and the 2nd Klan only would be founded in 1915. However, at the time of RDR II, KKK didn't existed.
