@@davidstinger1134 Tall Trees at night definitely feels scary and dangerous. Roanoke never scared me too much since I always felt like the MB were too stupid to ever pull one over on Arthur or John. The Swamps never scared me though. I live in Florida and have a lot of family in Louisiana. I loved wandering the swamps at night in RDR2 trying to get as deep into wilderness as possible. The night folk are the only ones who give me issues out of the three gangs in this post. The way they attack means I can not wander out there without a high capacity, rapid--fire shotgun unless I want a close call. The worst feeling is reloading while you still have two or more night folk running at you.

I think they are based on Glanton Gang because: 1.Otis Skinner the leader has a dog like Glanton 2.in a random encounter you can see a Black Skinner killing another gang member Just like Black Jackson in the book 3.they adore a entity like Judge Holden from the Blood Meridian

I really wish Manzanita had been more useful during RDR2. Like If they had a back room you could rent or at least be allowed into the house to buy limited supplies. Would have felt like an outpost in a dangerous region. That family who lived there who didn't speak English must have been tough if they weren't being bothered by the Skinners.

If you come into thieves landing from the west, and snoop around for a bit near the big fence area, you can hear a del lobo swear vengeance on John (granted thats if you’ve killed a lot of del lobos), he’ll make threats about “tying up that American cowboy and making him suffer for what he did to our brothers” or something along those lines. I forgot the rest of the threats but yeah quite interesting how you they can remember John and easily identify him.

At the bottom of the newspaper article it says "Tallulah Jetty Gang" and some other names. During the making of the game there was going to be a place named Tallulah Jetty but they had to cut it. Cool that its mentioned there though, like it still exists in the rdr universe but its just somewhere else.
Skinners are the coolest gangs in red dead series imo. If you ever saw the movie Dead Man there's a scene with 3 outlaws that reminds me of the men that make up the skinner gang
I like how Arthur has to fight the Murfree Brood and John has to fight Skinner Brothers. And both do it with the help of Charles. Plus, both of them can optionally fight off the Night Folk.
The Skinners always do make me think about Jim Jarmusch's movie _Dead Man_ 1995. The same type of country, same horrible rugged hillmen who nihilistically murder and main. John, a wanted man and having a native friend to guide him also adds up to it. They are most likely inspired by the bloodthirsty Harpe Brothers Gang, who were active during the rise and early years of the US, and were so sadistic that even other ruthless gangs didn't want anything to do with them.
That incident of that gang is TERRIFYING! Imagine going hiking with your family or friends and they capture you and skin or kill you! By the way dude your videos are great im going to subscribe!😊
The Skinners and the Murfrees are the two gangs in the game that I derived the most pleasure in hunting down and exacting revenge upon in creative and brutal ways.

I remember two or three years ago when i was 12 i had some nightmares of them, I've seeing myself in red dead world going to find out a treasure and somehow get traped by skinner brothers
I wish every gang in the game actually had a hideout. there is actually a location point in Tall Trees, north east of the map that could have been made into a hideout for the Skinner Brothers. that road that lead into thr mountains. and with regards to the Night Folk, the camp you get at Lakay could have been a good place used by the Night Folk as their hideout as well.

I just noticed that during the ambush at 13:55, since some of the Skinners are Native American, they actually scream and do war cries

I like how Arthur has to fight the Murfree Brood and John has to fight Skinner Brothers. And both do it with the help of Charles. Plus, both of them can optionally fight off the Night Folk.
The Skinners always do make me think about Jim Jarmusch's movie _Dead Man_ 1995.
The same type of country, same horrible rugged hillmen who nihilistically murder and main. John, a wanted man and having a native friend to guide him also adds up to it.
They are most likely inspired by the bloodthirsty Harpe Brothers Gang, who were active during the rise and early years of the US, and were so sadistic that even other ruthless gangs didn't want anything to do with them.
That incident of that gang is TERRIFYING! Imagine going hiking with your family or friends and they capture you and skin or kill you! By the way dude your videos are great im going to subscribe!😊

The Skinners and the Murfrees are the two gangs in the game that I derived the most pleasure in hunting down and exacting revenge upon in creative and brutal ways.
Damn, I didn't know John became a boogeyman that the Skinners told campfire stories about. That's cool AF.
I really hope the next RDR game emphasizes on the Strange Man and we get a good backstory on who he is and his motives

I wish every gang in the game actually had a hideout.
there is actually a location point in Tall Trees, north east of the map that could have been made into a hideout for the Skinner Brothers. that road that lead into thr mountains.
and with regards to the Night Folk, the camp you get at Lakay could have been a good place used by the Night Folk as their hideout as well.
This game can never die. I love it so much.
