      Yeah! I think if I had live bait on a free line I would have gotten one of those big ones! Good info for next time! Thanks for watching!

    Mahi is my absolute favorite! I was on the edge of my seat, waiting for the bigger ones to grab the bait. I'd have thrown every line out trying to catch something in that grass line😅😅😅.

      Yeah some of my favorite too! Yeah I was throwing everything I could at them, should have tried to net them😬

      I edited it out, but I was throwing cut bait chunks out to try to keep there there while i was changing jigs, and it did cross my mind to try to net them, but in reality that’s pretty tough to do.

      @forgottencoastfishing that's one of the things I like about your video's. You show what it takes.. for the most part under time constraints for the video...what it takes to catch a specific species. I would have liked to see the hustle of that going on while fishing alone. That could take a whole show just showing what it really takes to run around the boat frantically getting anything out there to catch those species.

      @@richcichon Look for the video that I’m editing right now I’d you want to see that craziness. I catch a king that takes me around the boat then am AJ starts chasing it and the about a 8 foot bull shark. All while I’m trying to pass the rod around the rods in the rod holders. But I get the king in!

    Nice fillet sink! I hope your 115’s on the Grady aren’t too difficult to fix.

      Thanks! It’s looking like there is some corrosion in between the exhaust and water channel so the water that’s supposed to cool things is getting hot from the exhaust. Just waiting for my mechanic to get some time to tear it down to see what needs to be replaced. Hopefully it’s minor! Good thing red snapper season is so long this year!

    Man that’s awesome. We are down here in Mexico Beach this week. We didn’t bring the boat though. Father in law said it’s be too rough all week to go out. He doesn’t take the boat out if it’s 4+ out there

      @forgottencoastfishing  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Yeah, this week is not looking good. At least the rain chances have gone down, and y’all can get out to the beach! Thanks for watching!

      You’ll have to let me know how you do if you do more fishing from the beach. I don’t walk down there much to do that, I should but just tend to go out in the boat instead.

      @@forgottencoastfishing oh for sure. We usually only surf fish in the spring when the pomps are running. Like to catch whiting at night when there isn’t anyone on the beach. Plenty of sand fleas here

    What brand personal flotation device do you use? Is it automatic or manual or both?

    • @forgottencoastfishing
      @forgottencoastfishing  19 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      It’s a west marine coastal. My wife got it for me for my birthday! It’s manual and auto if it gets wet. Also has a manual inflation tube. She also got me a personal EPIRB which is made by ACR. Thanks for watching!

      Actually that one I was wearing on that video was an old manual one I have. The new one will be on the video I’m editing right now, so look for that.

      Just big fish, Amberjack most likely, taking me down in the reef and cutting me off. Using too light stuff when they bite and can’t stop them. But just ordered a Penn Slammer IV with an extra heavy rod. So hopefully I can start getting them in. Thanks for watching!

      I think my take on this statement is that I notice he adjusts to losing some fish quickly by changing out hook size or changing to a different color lure or something else. That's something that I like about this channel is that he shows the real sides of fishing and the trials and tribulations of art of fishing instead of just showing the Win's.

    • @forgottencoastfishing

      That’s really it, what you see is a condensed day of me out fishing. I think it’s equally important to show what doesn’t work as well as what does and what I do to figure that all out. But I believe you don’t need over the top big tackle for the things I do, so I tend to fish with lighter tackle. More fun etc. but Brad is right, I do lose some big fish when they hit those lighter rigs, so that’s why I have the penn slammer 7500 on order. It’s got 50# drag! Should get them up then!
