I tie my own jigs and flies. What for flash are you using? If you can pass that along. If not i understand. Tight Lines and Screaming Drags!!

I unfortunately broke it last steelhead outing, not on fish, but my damn jig came back at the rod tip then next cast, snap, pretty upset about it still..
@@ActivatedOutdoors The moonshine rods come with two tips. Or has the other tip suffered the same fate? Sorry to hear this. I have the original 3wt rod. The heavier model. A balance issue between rod and reel. I use it for heavy work, heavier jigs and such. My 2wt is one of there updated newer models. Both great rods. Thank you for the flash material. I use hareline ice wing fiber. The fibers are 8". Kind of a pain to work with. But it ties great two tone minnow patterns . Learned about it from the site Steelhead 101. The fly guy Scott Bowerman. Great site for steelhead tips and techniques. Fly tying you name it. Thanks again! Tight Lines and Screaming Drags!!

Na hes getting legit bites. Ive pinned for almost 20 years. Been steelheading for 30+ fly fish, pin, tie my own sh1t. You name it. when the fish are trapped like this in very low water they are hungry and will bite almost anything. easy Pickens. must be nice living close to erie tribs (assuming you do) a lot more fish to catch than ontario tribs. This is a fact . I deal with high pressure ontario tribs. Big dif. Ice vid tho

Ive created a stoner technique called spinkara,works well here in Transyvania county NC.we have rainbows the size salmon up here (compliments of the hatchery)but none the less the cricks are full of biginns.@ActivatedOutdoors

Just because it’s easy for you, doesn’t mean it is for the next, and cry about conditions more seriously, it was Christmas Day with no one on the streams and they ACTUALLY could have been LOWER. Wasn’t too shabby when I went. For what my 3rd outing the whole season?? So sorry about your luck, I’ve fished low and clear bud, and this wasn’t it… genuinely sounds like you’re upset that you weren’t there with the decent conditions. Maybe next time. THat's what I was thinking. I never fished there, but if it's Erie county PA, I don't recognize the mouth. It's a tiny creek and flatter terrain, so that's to the West of Erie.
