How much would it cost a random citizen like myself for a job like this? I'd LOVE to do this in my basement studio. My neighbors would love it too.
Really curious as well, I'm guessing hiring someone to do it would be at least $20,000 if not way more but I could also be way off too lol.
The decoupling studs/acoustic blocks are so cool. I'm used to resilient channel or something similar.

Hey man ,I like your video , can you give a run down on how you proceed for that crystal clean drum sound ? I know that those preamp have a lot to do with that but can you achieve that sound on a common 8track interface preamp ? Thx

Thanks for sharing that. Interesting approach to acoustic treatment just building out whole sections of wall and ceiling as acoustic panels. Is it really dead in those areas? I recently did a soundproofing project on a granny flat (backyard flat) here in Australia. I used similar isolation techniques but with furring channel and isolation clips and a single layer of drywall. Turned out pretty good.

I've never seen those acoustic blocks before are those home made? How do they handle pull stress from a double layer drywall?
We usually use an acoustic caulk around the edges not sure what your crew used since they wanted to make it sound like it's some trade secret.
I can’t remember where they got the blocks from but they’re def not homemade. At 5:00 they talk about using acoustic caulk.

What’s that on top of the Rhodes ? I need one 🙏🏼
They’re these cool brackets that the guys at Custom Vintage Keys in Burbank make that can hold a pedalboard or another keyboard on top of the Rhodes without putting any weight on the plastic covering.
