Man watching that part of the attack on the Executor where they were doing a strafing run on the ships surface guns as they fought they're way to the bridge reminded me a lot of the Death Star Trench Run and from the looks of it it was made the same way too in this game.
I freaking love this mission cause it retroactively made Heroic A-Wing dude (Arvel Crynyd) one of my favorite characters after the fact. I've managed to do this mission with the Falcon which is super hilarious but have yet to see anyone do this with the Slave 1...

Well, Green Leader (Arvel Crynyd) taking out three Star Destroyers' ion cannons en route to the Executor, even if it's gameplay mechanics; makes a lot more sense than the Falcon being a major player in the Executor's destruction (in X-Wing Alliance's "That Thing's Operational" mission from the Battle of Endor branch)... The Falcon did cause a nuisance to the Executor (offscreen, as told in the short story "Gambler's Run") but not to that extent

Now EA cannot even make a decent single player campaign with a hundred thousand dollars or give a functioning super star destroyer on a space map. They managed the Death Star in their Battlefront 1 so why can't we just have a giant star destroyer?
Rogue Squadron and Battlefront are completely different games. It's probably also harder with today's technology than it was back when this game was made.
Avoozl completely different games that, in their prime, were products of the same time period, fulfilling a similar demand, and created by similarly talented studios who worked on similar hardware with similar limitations. Even though Factor 5 didn't try to go more than an inch into Pandemic's territory, the latter certainly could compete with Rogue Squadron's space combat if they went further. (See classic Battlefront 2's space combat and the Clone Wars Gamecube title) And yet, over a decade later, EA STILL can't make a solid Star Wars title without some monumental fuckup, shameless monetization, or both. Also, how the hell is it harder to do something from over a decade ago with far more powerful tech? EA most certainly has the ability to outdo the Gamecube and original X-box nearly ten fold, yet they choose not to in favor of abusing their developers and milking the cash out of some poor soul's bank account If I didn't know better, I'd ask how much EA was paying you.
I wonder why they didn't use the movie scene since they used movie scenes elsewhere and this is mostly the same except it's animated and some parts are cut. But o well, whatever floats the developers boat
They used the wrong ship! the Calamary cruiser was destroyed by the Death Star super laser, this mission take places where Lando and Wedge is heading in the Death Star core, if this is Ackbar is supposed to used the Home One cruiser, i hope the developers fixed in the never before release "Star Wars Rogue Leader Rogues Scuadron" Wii version.
There were 2 Dozen MC80 Cruisers of various types at the Battle of Endor. The Liberty was destroyed but there were other ships of the Liberty type active in the Battle. MC80 Variants: Solidarity (Wingless) Liberty (Winged) Home One (Large Wingless Flagship)

I also just assumed that this was another part of the huge space battle and due to technical limitations they couldn't add the rest of the Rebel fleet in like Rogue Squadron 2's original Endor battle

@@richardched6085 That's even worse, since heavy turbolasers have 200 gigatons of TNT per shot, according to EPII's tech manual. And the books that come along with the movies like tech manuals and novels are as canon as the movies.
So they are making me complain cause some people find complaints about their frailties annoying. We all have failings. So yeah, what's up with their ego? I think that it is scary and unsafe.
