I read a magazine because it's limited in length, unlike my novels which I would read through the night
UPDATE: I followed exactly everything in this video and had the best 8 hours sleep in such a long time. You have no idea how happy I was to wake up well-rested, when it was still dark and early. The most vital parts of this routine for me were getting sunlight and exercise in the morning, and limiting screen time and bright lights in the evening. Your body automatically powers down when you follow these steps. Also, make sure you eat before it gets dark and don't drink too much water before bedtime, lest you will wake up in the middle of the night and it won't be fun going back to sleep.
Thank you SO much for this video. I've been struggling with fixing my sleep schedule for a few weeks and it's so messed up that my motivation has spiraled downwards. I'm going to try your advice and get back on track. Once more, really appreciate it.

To be completely honest the guy has fixed my sleep for my life now. I thought I used to have terminal insomnia where you wake up at 5am in the morning and can’t get back to sleep. When the alarm comes up it keeps me sleeping +won't let me wake up like I don't know why
Idk why, I just seems to have trouble sleeping and I always ask guidance but they always stated the same way you're saying. When I was kid, I have trouble sleeping too even though I never even know how to use phone. When I was in high school, I got into a boarding school and no phone are allowed to be kept yet I still have trouble sleeping. But sometimes I'm grateful people nowadays have trouble sleeping cuz of their phone. Now I have friends I can talk to in the middle of night 😌
Generally I can just go to sleep even after using my phone till midnight, however the quality of my sleep isn’t the best.

Tonight, I will not rest. I will go outside when the sun goes out to help fix my circadian rhythm. Before that, I willdrink a cup of coffee to trick my body into thinking I’m well rested. After a nice long day of working out outside, I will be extra tired due to me not actually having any rest, and (hopefully) my circadian rhythm will be fixed. The days after I will implement all the habits you mentioned in this video.
I want to wake up at 7am but I wake up at 9😭
Didn't search for this video but did sort of need this. Ever since covid I've been getting like 9+ hours of sleep and still feeling so tired, constantly waking up at like 12:30. So past like 1 and a half years it's been like that so I've wanted to start waking up at normal times.
Edit: so ummm...came back to this comment which I had completely forgot about because of all the replies and damn there's a lot. I appreciate the genuine concern even though I'm a stranger but I don't recommend trying to "diagnose" me unless you're a professional who knows what they're talking about. For the most part my problems with sleep is probably just due to the practise of bad habits over the course of this whole covid ordeal but now that school is finally taking place on campus I can work on fixing myself. Anyways appreciate the concern but ya'll don't need to keep trying to give me advice, cya.
You could have sleep apnea, or also be oversleeping
@@brundain1 Definitely don't have sleep apnea, definitely oversleeping but I'd just like to know why because this problem has only surfaced because of covid. Probably has to do with school being entirely online the past 1 and a half years.
Aah same the problem for me is probably because I don't get enough sunlight :idk maybe*
@@shoobzy3431 I definitely have the same problem. I wanna start going to sleep around midnight and waking up at 8am. The key things I need to do for that are to exercise right after getting up before eating breakfast, keep my windows open so I get some sunlight, turn off my lights when it gets dark, shower at 10pm, and most importantly, don't go on my phone when I go to bed.
I already have a fan on to keep me cool that night so that was never an issue, and I've also literally never drank coffee so caffeine shouldn't be an issue either. I also already block off all lights when I go to sleep, so my room has always been dark. Neither of these 3 things seem to have ever been an issue for me, it's mainly the other stuff that I said.
yeah. I barely have any motivation to work out, especially right after working out? :(
I will wake up 6:30 AM everyday. (I'm a student)
alarm set
Do ten minutes of moderate stretching.
When the sun goes down, I will turn of my main lights and turn on my lamp.
After I finish my workout at 7:00, I will take a shower.
At 9:00, I will sleep with no electronics and block as much light as possible.
"Avoid caffeine after noon"
me: *checks time (10:46am)
*RUNS TO MAKE A CUP OF COFFEE SO I DONT END UP DRINKING IT AT 3PM

How are you?
Great video! Straight and to the point. Clear and easy to follow. Thank you!
I'm feeling like I had fixed all the other sides of my life in a certain way but couldn't fix my sleep. Sleep is the most important of all of it, it guides everything in your life. So it's time to fix it.
I will wake up at 6:30 every morning.
Alarm set!
When I’m done eating breakfast, I will take a quick walk around the block.
After I wake up, I will watch a morning yoga video that is at least 10 minutes long.
I will limit myself to one cup of coffee a day.
When the sun goes down, I will turn off the main ceiling light and turn on my side ceiling light.
After I finish my dinner, I will take a shower.
I will not look at screens in bed.
The first minute is enough for me. I really appreciate the fact that going to bed late and only waking up around 8 or 9 o'clock not only seems completely okay, but also normal and healthy
your comment is old but i completely agree. if you for example cant fall asleep before 6am trying to wake up at 8 or 9am would make no sense. best tip i found is to go to sleep and wake up 30 mins before you usually do. do this for a week and repeat. this would of course be a long process but everything else would be insanely unhealthy because you’re basically “fixing” your sleep schedule by being sleep deprived which is just as bad
Just by seeing this in my recommendations, TH-cam really knows me so much.
8:30 am, as soon as i wake up i will do some yoga🧘🏽♂️
I will wake up at 6am everyday.
Alarm set.
When I wake up, I will pray Fajr.
After I pray Fajr, I will do at least 30 minutes of exercise.
When the sun goes down, I will turn off my main lights and turn on my lamp.
After I finish with work, I will take a shower.
I will not look at any screens while I'm in bed and I will listen to lectures while trying to fall asleep.
