Good plan! Slow and easy and rest... Hope your ankle heals quickly. You are doing good RICE Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevate. Ryan is taking good care of you. You guys are doing amazing!
Great decision to return to the motel, Ryan is a compassionate caregiver 🥼⛑ I know your both PAs, take care in these final days on the trail. 🏃🏼♀️🏃🏽🍦🍕🍟
I am planning on wearing injingi socks, Darn Tough Compression Socks on top of those and then Ankle Supports on top of that. I'm hoping it protects my one weak ankle that I injured years ago skiing on corn snow. Those clouds were awesome. Really nice views today. Living the Dream! Ryan took such good care of you at the end. Love is a wonderful thing. John from MI
You guys really hike smart. You make really good decisions. So sorry that your ankle hurt. That is some deep...stuff. Beautiful sights though. Thanks for sharing!
Crossed that bog between East and West Baldpate last fall on an overnighter after doing some trail magic with a 2015 thruhiker, Freebyrd, in Grafton Notch. Glad Nicky didn't go in. Did you pay up, Ryan? I have to admit that I was concerned about Nicky's injury. I've had some severe ankle strains that I thought for sure were sprains, or even breaks, complete with burst capillaries and intense pain and swelling. Cutting back on mileage for a day or two, and gradually building up again proved me to be wrong, thankfully. I have, however, put on a bunch of miles with a broken toe. It has never looked the same! 😁.
You two are just so adorable! And in your professions, you know how to take care of each other so well. Can't wait to see you out on the trail as a married couple!
Really?? The Large Pizza wasn't enough,, you had to get Fries too?? :-) I'm glad you are getting a lighter day or two in. I remember I slacked two days in that area.. Love the videos..
Nicky was a real "trooper" hiking with the sprained ankle. She waa taking it slow and easy which is the best way to do it. I just don't understand why Capt Hook just wouldn't carry her pack. lol
You got this Nicky! Cause Ry has your back. You just know he'd piggy back you if necessary. That man loves you!
Love the warrior spirit on display, from you both. Bravo!!!
Nicky...What a "Beast"!
You go girl! 🙂
It has all been said ..... you two rock! You've got the magic between you. Glad to see your ankle is a bit better. Thanks for sharing.

West betel motel! westbethelmotel.com
West bethel, Maine
Highly recommend them! Unbelievably helpful to hikers!
I am wondering if there are any American wigeon (baldpates) native to the Baldpate Mountain area.
Just wondering, if you are climbing the mtn, why are you going down the ladder at 3:19?
Part of the trail haha
@2:17 - Nicky does not seem to be in the mood for your vlogging antics...doh! I wonder if anyone has ever gone "all in" in that bog... 😳
She wasn't! Haha

these are great videos, but.......that music must go, just the views with natural sounds would be better. Good luck, keep going.
