The curve in the sponge is to fit the form of the tire.

Drive up on four pieces of 2×4 or ramps without sides. That way you can get the bottom.

You can use both and I found it easier to not use the rounded black side

directions say don't spray directly on tires, spray on brush then clean. Also says clean again when tire is dry?
