I really like the Avalir shampoo system, I also have one for a G4. I’m not quite as taken with the hard floor mop, I don’t think it works quite as well as my Shark Steam Mop Lift Away. That steam mop is one of my best purchases because it has Kirby-like versatility for bathrooms and the kitchen. Thanks for the video.
I too have the shark lift away, but because its steam we can't use on our bamboo flooring. So the Kirby is a godsend . As it dry enough not to blow the boards and void the 10yr warranty.
Have recently got a Kirby Legend 2 and have been so appreciative of your videos. I decided to try the shampoo-er today but found that there is no mesh in the wee silver ring. Does anyone have any ideas about where or what I could use as mesh in the silver ring that would do the job? I am keen to play but have stalled on this tiny missing piece. Thanks 😊

That surprised me , I think it must scrub deeper into the pile as it goes .,Misses saw the Mat and was like wow it look brand new. Both systems did an amazing job .
I have my grandmothers Kirby Gen 3 Vaccum and it works great except that the part that keeps the handle upright when not in use won’t catch. So I have to prop it up against the wall. What part do I need to order and replace so that it will stand upright on its own, thanks for the advice.
Hello! Thank you very much for the video. What a great overview! I have a Kirby Heritage from 1982 and I am still using it. Shampooed my carpets yesterday actually. My Heritage does not have the foam off mode, however. Do you know if that was the standard back then? Just go back and forth with the shampooer and then vacuum once dried.
There is an off mode on the heritage, i show it in the video 13.37 in. You should have a feed and a blank on end of hose. You have to turn off kirby then switch the hose connection on the tank to the blank for the pick up mode. Hope this helps. Thanks for supporting my channel by viewing and Hopefully Subscribing.
Hi I’m back a year later lol dog has something wrong and peed in my rec room. I’m out of shampoo, can I use anything else safely or will I damage my Kirby? I can order and have some here tomorrow but thought I’d give it a try and ask! Might just do a regular wash and vacuum with shopvac.
Double check the foam insert in the shampoo bottle where it replaces the bag emptor . Also check the small filter screen is on where shampoo coming out of bottle to feed brushroll . Hope this helps 👍🔔
I’ve just bought a heritage turbo to replace my legend 2 but the belt slider is loose and spins but there is no tension on the belt can’t this be fixed ?
We just purchased our first Kirby. We’re struggling to like it. 😩. The demonstration included the carpet shampoo. It’s been about a week and our entire house still stinks like old lady from the foam. Our throw pillows that often end up on the floor, our pets, our throw blankets, etc. all smell like old lady. Is there a scent free or a natural home made solution alternative?
just a thought but i think a simple on off valve on the heritage and heritage two should not be too hard to install only downside is it wouldnt be authentic heritage

OK... firstly... I love Kirby... but I'm not sure I'm loving the shampoo aspect to it... I haven't tried it myself so I don't know....I mean I could be totally wrong.. I just don't see how it's putting foam down... then sucking the foam up.... not really rinsing anything..

Dual Santronic 50 year 1965.
My Tradition has a shampoo (Rug Renovator). I just used it a few days ago. It looks the same as the Heritage's here except all blue in color.

Double check the filter is in place on the shampoo bottle . Both foam on air inlet and screen on shampoo outlet .

I think Kirby struggled with this until they worked on G3 to improve the shampooers ease of use.
The heritage ii had the same shampoo hose as the legend ii

I honestly prefer the G3-Sentria II shampooer design. It just seems to fluff the carpet better. I could be wrong though.

The avalir shampooer is cheap plastic garbage that breaks under the 3 year warranty get a older shampooer that will fit the avalir
I haven't had one break but i do agree Kirby should bring back the aluminum nozzle part as from the late sentria on its been that cheap plastic
