By far the best explanation of what you NEED to do. My diamond edition will be delivered tomorrow and I can’t wait to go over all of your videos for like the hundredth+ time haha! Thank you for all that you do, sir 😎👍🏽👍🏽
I just picked up a used one for less than $100 locally but I can tell it's been used often during its brief few years. Thanks for the maintenance tips!
I love your content bro I restore EVERYTHING my house is from the 1800s and this Bissell CrossWave I got just SUCKS!! Sure it's cordless but...it does nothing. So I got a Kirby by the side of the dumpster with the shampoo kit (Kirby G6 2000) AND a Avalir 1 (100th anniv)! Your channel has helped me out a ridiculous amount to understand these vacuums while I work on mine! Would love to see a video on the G6 vs Avalir 1 before I accidentally give my buddy the better of the two😂 They're a BLAST to refurbish and damn are the two that I picked up oxidized...here's hoping I can make them pristine they do both work after some effort! I can't stand Kirby themselves but if you are good at fixing your own stuff or want quality, Kirby is the way to go I haven't spent a dollar getting TWO since I already have everything to restore them other than some foam, rubber, and a fan blade I will late buy!
Thks for the helpful maintenance tips Dean; I have done some of them but you have shared some new ones I haven't done. Certainly will extend the life of our investment!!!
It’s good especially with models after the g4 that have that seperate seal on the outlet . As you get a lot of dirt attracting between it and the Kirby body
From this video I’ve learned how to clean the brush & change the band myself instead of paying every time it rips. Thanks so much for this video! Btw I hadn’t use my Kirby for about 3 years due to it not having a band on it 🤦🏻♀️ So I ended up buying a cheap vacuum. But I had to shampoo my carpet & I am in freaking love how darn good my carpet looks. Now I can’t put it down lol I want to vacuum & shampoo everything
Thanks so much fir awesome comment, make sure to give thumbs up and ding 🛎not to me new tutorials. So glad my channel is helping so many Kirby owners near and far . Thanks again for supporting and sharing my channel 👍👍
Me staring knowing full well that I haven’t cleaned my Kirby once in 12 years. 😬 I did fully clean my floor nozzle today thanks to a video (I’ve struggled picking out hair from the wheels).
Your so welcome , I have videos on how to remove and replace the wheels to make the easier to clean . Thankyou for supporting my channel, make sure to 👍 the video and subscribe if you are getting value out of my channel and content. Thankyou for your support 👍👍
I NEED to see and know how to remove that part that the bag attaches to..mine is a kirby sentria and The hose that goes inside the bag (from the bottom curved part.) is what I need to know how to detatch so I can take the hose out and clean.....any ideas?? .
Thanks for the advice, I’ve got a Tradition, Heritage 2 Gen 5 and I’ve just bought a Avalair off eBay and that should be coming tomorrow. What do you use to polish? And are you from the West Mids? Lichfield here!!
Great job! Your videos are really helpful. I just got a kirby. Still trying to get a hang of it. Wish it could suck up moisture tho. Cuz it's really hard to find dry foam shampoo here
Thanks so much and thanks for showing support for my channel by hitting that Subscribe button it is really appreciated after all the hard work I put in . Thanks so much
Hi can you tell me is there a switch on the Kirby 4 to hold the head and handle together while you carry it into the house as my head seems to hang down. Des

I order all my parts from USA, i order in bulk as makes postage cheaper and way cheaper then buying in Australia, buy all parts from Uk Or USA as everthing here has 200% mark up on the rest of the world 👍👍🔔
Hello to all you kirby lovers..... hi Dean....... trying to find parts for my kirby....... isn't easy at all can you recommend anyone ...... from south Yorkshire ..... just started watching / subscribed too..... great in-depth videos .... thank you
Cheers for the support really appreciated. Not to sure on Yorkshire, I find Amazon the best place to source my spares . I have links to most parts in description for Uk , US and various other countries .
Does silicon spray help keep the rubber seal around where the power head attaches to the Kirby does it keep it moisturized so it does not dry out or? I think I heard you mention in a video to use silicon spray on the seals but I am not sure
@@T0WhiteForYou yes , don’t use Vaseline, any product containing petrol is bad for rubber . if you don’t have silicone spray you can get other rubber lubricant. So Anything silicone based or Wd40
@@KirbyEnthusiast how would you recommend kind of polishing a dirt meter? Like the grey part that makes up the body of the meter? Weird question I know but the meter I got was definitely used heavily so I have been cleaning it up a lot and want to make it a bit newer looking

@@KirbyEnthusiast u actually did,I stopped using carpet powder weeks ago and I started using the carpet freshening spray and let it sit.it picked so much old left carpet powder in my 2 area rugs that my bissell pet hair eraser turbo never did…with ur maintenance video,I took it apart and cleaned it and I was amazed of how much powder was left in the rubber part…Thank u
It’s like a car at the end of the day if you don’t maintain it it won’t run efficiently. It’s an investment for life not just your typical throw in the bin after 3 - 5yrs and replace .👍👍
Everyone is entitled to there own opinion, you maintain a Kirby like you maintain your car. That way 25 yrs later it will still outclean and outlast all the plastic one you would have bought . Plus saves paying kirby to service every year . Win win 👍👍
Fantastic video. Every little bit helps keep any Kirby last longer & protects your investment for superior cleaning.

Hello! Loved this video, thank you!! What about the front fan? Mine has some hair in it and I don’t want to mess anything up getting it out.
It’s pretty easy to replace if it’s damaged .
I have a few videos on channel one each model showing how to replace fan with ease
Great video, very educational! I will start with this maintenance habit. Never did this in the past.

Had mine for 15 years and never done anything but change bags and belts…. No issues.
That’s awesome, the quality of a Kirby is 2nd to none. Thankyou for comment and support really appreciated 👍👍🛎
Do Kirby's have a motor exhaust filter like Sebo's? While the bag may be good, the motor generate carbon dust, this should be filtered
Yes I have seen them on early G3 upto to Avalir . It’s a small foam filter sheet behind the outlet .👍🔔
How to keep the belt on and off I am doing some thing wrong my belt is hooking on in Belt off position how do I correct it.

Does silicon spray help keep the rubber seal around where the power head attaches to the Kirby does it keep it moisturized so it does not dry out or? I think I heard you mention in a video to use silicon spray on the seals but I am not sure
Asking because the rubber seal around my dirt meter is kinda dry and a tad cracked so I want to moisturize it a bit but not sure the best way
