Many, many thanks for this video! I was in what was essentially a Green Day covers band in 1996-98 when I was 14-16 and had only been playing the drums for a couple of years. The solo in Burnout was a mystery to me back then and, about 13 years on since the last time I listened to Dookie, I chucked the tape (!) on half an hour ago...and the drum solo was still a mystery, at the least 3rd line of it. So I came to TH-cam in search of a answer, and now I've found it. It only took 16 years!

@TheOrangeMickey That's like asking what's better, a pencil or a pen? They are both good for different things. An acoustic kit can't be beaten (excuse the pun) for sound and dynamics but the electric kit is great for quiet practice and recording. Again, it depends on what you're using the kit for.
