If there is ever a Green Day concert I would have wanted to be at, it would be this. Don’t love everything GD has done, but Dookie is a flawless album start to finish and was a big part of my youth.
Incredible. (Dookie) this álbum is a classic. I like also of Insomaniac, Ninrod and American Idiot.
Gotta respect the artists and not the artwork. They've made music for everyone. Including you. Every Album speaks to the masses. That's why greenday is great. True fans will stay.
Agreed
100%. Always loved them since back in 93/94, and Dookie really is flawless. Such a tight band. Too bad their politics are so cringe. Was best when they stuck to angst and irony.
You are right there!! & before the rest of the world grabbed hold of them!

You rock! I was going to do this but you already did!! 🤟🏼🙏🏼
@@xClandestinexYou should probably pin it
real MVP!
Best set list
They’re ridiculously rehearsed for this. Every fine nuance of the album comes through. They don’t even drag out or restructure any of the songs like they normally do for the sake of the crowd. They add some yells and claps, but the songs are just perfect. This is Dookie in its purest form. Incredible.
They been rehearsing 30 years mate, possibly the tightest band ever
yeah its almost as if they wrote it
Rehearsed? Lol. They played 5 songs for 15 years. G C D there that's every guitar riff ever from green Day. You sir. Are Ga hey. Green Day has aids
If you think this is dookie in its purest form, wait till you see what I dropped in my toilet this morning
@@BrysonFerret was it green?
Whoever handled the set design is a boss. That would definitely end up going in my mansion if I were one of the band members.
The fact that the crowd belts out every word of every song is so awesome. Brought a smile to my face.
It’s the only right way to see this show
8:09 The transition from Chump to Longview is so satisfying.
Right? Exactly like the album 🔥
The lights changing from blue to green enhances the transition visually too
I normally hate people with their phones in crowds at concerts. But thankyou for recording this epic set. Love from Australia
Extra credit should given for recording this set in horizontal form.
The band tool will kick you out if you record
You should try not to normally hate. Be happier.
Grow up lady
That’s 90% of the audience at Green Day shows these days.
I'm blown away by how in-sync Billy and Mike are together. I guess playing these songs 30+ years will do that.
They’re playing Welcome To Paradise the fastest they have since probably ‘94! Incredible!
I gotta hand it to Green Day, these guys don't seem a day over 20 years old performing the way they are here. They have stood the test of time for sure. Great performance!
Omg so happy Mike Dirnt used the G3 for this gig!!
RIGHT?! :D
hes so overated
@@sebg2086 ????
@@sebg2086 Sure, but the bass his holding is underrated.
2 of them actually! Wonder why he switched for When I Come Around and Coming Clean. Tuning perhaps?
This is so awesome. I wish I could've been there! I love how they're using their old instruments that they toured with on the original Dookie shows.
Seeing mike with the old g3 made my day!
Drumset is awesome
im pretty sure the amps they're using are the same ones they used one the record too!
nah not the ogs :(@@jessgarbanzobean but same models!
@@punkstudios9955FUCK YES SAME
Makes me feel like I am 15 again. Thank you Green Day and the skate punk explosion of the early/mid 90's. This genre will always be my workout and doing chores music.
Just incredible, played with all the attitude and conviction of the band playing in 1994. I can still see the Woodstock mud on Billy's guitar. Honestly it doesn't get any better than this. Absolute Green Day GOLD. Seeing a 40 something doing crowd surfing looked dangerous

Sad when they have to play nearly 30 year old music to stay relevant.
Everyone talks about Nirvana as the voice of the 90s but this album made me want to start a band. I did and we ended up signing a record deal. Thanks Dookie.
It’s crazy to think they went from an indie band with 10k records sold over three years to selling 100k records PER WEEK for six months in 1994. Explosively influential on culture in that time period.
Kurt Cobain was the voice of that GENERATION 💯💯💯💯 Green Day was part of that scene but they definitely were not the VOICE of that GENERATION. DOOKIE is by far ine of the best albums that came out that era for sure, there is not one bad song on it. Don't take what I said offensive please. ✌️✌️✌️
@@victorgallagher6312I don't think a generation can be voiced by a single person. "There's 100 million of us and Kurt speaks for all of us!"

@@davidpearson6346James Hetfield, the singer to Metallica, has been singing in a different key since 2003. He is 60. Billie Joe just doesn’t seem to change his key that he is in
@@davidpearson6346it is because several singers who drink or smoke lost their voices. After 35 your body has problems to recover from strain. When you keep smoking and drinking your voice gets fucked. BILLI JOE also has weaker pitch and everything.

This was the first cd my mom ever bought for me. I'm 38 now, and it kicks just as much ass now as it did the day she bought it for me. This is killer thanks for sharing this.
LOL SAME HERE!! still have it too.
wow. it was my first cd as well. changed my life
in my country i listened dookie from a cassete then few years later i bought the CD cuz i like it very much
My older brother's friend had a copy of it on casette and gave it to me. It was around the time it came out. I was like 9 or 10. I played it until the tape got ate, so I eventually got it on cd not long after. Great album. Big part of my youth.
this is the last time GD was GD
Mike is playing the same bass from way back then. Billie bought it for him as a gift, and he used it for a few albums exclusively. He has not used that bass on stage in well over 25 years. Obviously Billie is using Blue the whole set. So rad.
thanks for that information
thats not the original "blue" i guess
@@Greenday8183 true, it’s probably 100% not original but it’s still cool the sentiment.
@@Somethingoutrageous it is the original. Billie has used it at every Green Day show unless it's being repaired (like on parts of the 'nimrod.' tour and some of the later legs of the 21CB tour where he used some replicas in different shades of blue). And if you ever get a look at the back of the guitar, only the original has the picture of Billie opening it up for the first time as a kid

THIS was the DEFINITIVE ALBUM that got ME into Green Day during my youth in the 1990's as well as my adolescence in the 2000's!!! I'm so glad they were able to do this!!! HOORAH BEEN DAY!!!
One of the best bands ever. And Tre Cool was on point, every song.
That guy is a machine. I play the drums and many great drummers probably would be done midway on Burnout.
Came here to post this same thing. He didn’t exactly look in shape when he came on stage but he shut me right the fuck up.
It must just be that he's done it so long that it's in the blood. I know many great drummers who could practice for months and not be able to keep up.@@nickcds3419

The perfect pop-punk album of the 90's right here live! Happy (almost) 30 DOOKIE!!!!!!!!

Indeed. New tour announced with Smashing Pumpkins. They can kick rocks, lol. Get some indie bands to open for GD.
One of the greatest albums ever
All the bands I listened to growing up made a comeback and killing it live
I love everything about this. Their old instruments, the tight sound, the spark of '90s energy they still have. Fantastic. Would LOVE to see this live next year!
Any chance you have the second half of the show?
the 4th dood so isnt necessary
Ellos son artistas ,por lo tanto también dan todo de ellos aunque no tengan las mismas energías que antes ..pero si lo demuestran en escenario para su público.
@@rclc161 Jason has been a long time friend of the band and live musician (now full member) since the Nimrod-Warning era. He even appears on the When I come around video kissing the girl. It gives the stage presence a fuller sound. Not necesary but essential.

its so awesome to watch them playing their gear from the era in a venue about the same as they were playing when that album came out. probably the smallest venue they've played in decades.
They did Gilman in 2015 for a benefit
Freshman year college, 1994. This CD was in my Sony Discman to and from class every day. I've memorized every song on Dookie because of this. LOVE IT.
The 4K is still processing so give it some time and the quality will greatly improve.

Album came out when I was 5 years old. My cousin played it for me at that age. Loved it ever since.
Dookie is an all time top 5 album for me. Has stood the test of time.
Saw Greenday tour with Dookie way back when in Australia, Festival Hall, Brisbane, it was utterly epic then and still is watching this. RIP Figgins, we had a blast man.

@@Ethyl.breaksyou mean it worked for Billy Shears.
They still look and sound great for their age.
Been watching them live since 94.. Still fucking awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In the End, Having a Blast, Sassafras Roots, Emenius Sleepus and Chump are SUCH good live songs. Wish they'd keep these tracks in live rotation because they go off! The hits are great but these Dookie deep cuts are full of energy
I agree they should play these songs more, but bro I was in 8th grade when that album landed. There were no "deep cuts" from that record in '94. It was 40 minutes of hit rock songs and every kid at school knew every song's lyrics entirely.
@@michaelallen1154 SOOOOOOO I HOPE I WON'T BE THERE IN THE END WHEN YOU COME AROUND
Emenius sleepus has only been played a handful of times, I think that all of them have been during dookie full shows.
I agree they should play it more. It's a great song, as are all of the songs by dookie. Such a good album.
Definitely- what really made this album one of the great ones is that it's deep cuts were so damn good
Incredible!!! They still sound like the album from 94!!
Sheshh finally seeing “pulling teeth” live..wish they could bring full set list dookie album world wide..it brings back to my teen..!!
Its incredible they still carry that same energy and excellence they had since the 90s!
My sister passed away January 2021 I am a Green Day fan because my sister always loved Green Day
😢 i’m so sorry
I can’t believe that they sound this close to how the album sounds all these years later. Most bands their age or older are no longer able to keep up with the speed and energy required to play music like this. Particularly Tre. He’s not taking any shortcuts, or “cheating”, to make it easier to play so fast. He’s still 100% right on the money and fully keeping up. Awesome.
They're not exactly in a rest home.
@@KennyRider137 fr, billy's only like what 50? 50's the new 40. especially when you're as loaded as they are.
@@jerms_mcerms9231 it kills me how we built this culture of cool shit and the young kids want us to fade away. I'm 49 and I'm just hitting my stride. They are going to have a real mid life crisis when they begin to adjust to aging.
@@KennyRider137 I'm only 33, but yeah they will. Just like you probably did a bit. and Im sure i'll go through it too haha
When your taking meth amphetamine, you don't need to take shortcuts 😂
The free show in 1994 - “The Riot Gig” I was at in Boston, MA on the Hatshell was still the most memorable Green Day experience of my life to this day.
This would have been a great nostalgic trip into the past. ❤️
The album that introduced me to Green Day, freshman year of college 1994. Saw them live for the 1st time the following year at Nassau Coliseum for the Insomniac tour (‘95). Pure adrenaline. Surreal watching them play Dookie in it’s entirety almost 30 years later.
My favorite band for 30 years and the album I fell in love with. Amazing.
Same here! Dookie is perfection in form of an album.
That album was the anthem to my childhood
Tre Cool’s drumming is incredible. An absolute monster behind the kit!!
completely agree, the guy is so underrated. His drumming is powerful, precise and very intense!
Love it. This whole album defined half of the 90s for me. I bought Dookie on cassette in 95 at a pawn shop for .50. Best investment of my adolescents.
This is already a legendary Video
They sound so tight!
Tre cool is an absolute monster on these drums. Extremely underrated drummer
No camera love for Jason?!? What gives! He’s a legend!
This concert was AWESOME! I hope they come to Mexico soon
I was worried that all these songs would be 10 bpm slower than the original recordings, but damn some are 5 bpm faster
Thank you so much 💗 and God bless you a million times for posting this great and precious concert video. They look and sound so good here.
This album *NEVER* gets old. Hearing theses songs instantly brings me back to 1994/95/96 in the middle of college, effin miserable with woke professors, mind numbing academics, and a minimum wage job that stabbed on the nerves.
The only thing that kept me alive and moving was music. This band's music and this album was a guaranteed form of healing for me along with some others. Only a few bands and albums were true magical gems that really helped me fight my wars every single step of the way and in any place or time. This is 💯 one of them.
Doesn't get any better than this , I was 12 in 1995 & basically walked around for the whole year listening to this album on a Sony discman 😄
Man I would have loved to be there. My dream is to see them live.
The stage is amazing
Hell yes!!! ❤ can we get the 2nd part of the show as well ? Camera quality is perfect!!!!
He still got it!
His at least year 2000 voice.
Deep and whole note.
What?
I was the one who's Nimrod sign got rejected 😂 love you Billie! I will remember this night the rest of my life!
Great to see Jason up there playing aswel, even though they were a 3 piece in 1994 for Dookie
So good to hear BJ singing like he used to.
I am NOT a fan of people filming at shows - especially the whole goddamn thing …. AND I am extremely thankful and happy to whoever filmed this because it is an absolutely incredible, and joyous moment to be shared!! Thank you from Canada ❤️❤️❤️
Dookie's 30th anniversary! This is so awesome. They made 20th anniversary in Reading, and 30th in Vegas. So amazing!! Fan from Korea!
I love that they playing a small type venue, the old school way, and old fashioned decor and not over the top set up.
Dookie was the first cassette I ever bought. Fuck I loved it, and seeing this show is just magic
Listen to the crowd. Even 30 years later, these songs evoke such a response. I haven't seen a modern Green Day show but I can't imagine their new material getting this type of response.
Still their best record. As cool as punk. As fun as rock. As happy as pop...
