@@zzey it's cheaper than the iphone 13 and all in all just as good. Better in some aspects, worse in others.
@@zzey pixel has flat hd plus display 90hz finger print scanner n a good battery slightly beats 6 pro stock android not bloatware of apps and price cheaper

I'm using the P6 and I love it. The best phone I've ever used. Android 12 does need some fixes but apart from that, the phone is amazing. I recommend it to anyone upgrading from and old phone...or an iphone lol
I’m trying to move away from iPhone my only concern is I don’t know how life going to be without iMessage
I currently have a Pixel 3 and I'm upgrading to the Pixel 6 in a few days.. so excited
The phone should get drastically better on Monday with the 100 bug fixes December patch .

Your videos are mandatory watching for anyone with two eyes and half an ear.
Also there is an update coming to all pixels with over 50 fixes. You should check it out before moving away from the phone if it's not going to be your daily driver.
I think we're in for a treat with this update.. It runs smooth on my 4a

7:48 The refresh rate is supposed to clock down on its own. You can lock it to a high refresh rate in developer options, but it drops the refresh rate when you don't need it; like reading or sitting in a settings page.
jingle bell transition from phone speaker to BG is mesmerizing.
I upgraded from a Pixel 3 to a Pixel 6 Pro and the experience has been excellent. While I expected it to be better the experience is on a whole diff level. It's much faster, smoother and the new cameras are a joy to use. I was a bit skeptical at first (in regards to size and the price premium of 6 Pro vs. 6) but I'm happy to say that any doubts I had about the phone are gone.
Had the same situation as you. The only real concern I had was the size because I also came from a Pixel 3.

I am using pixel 3a and camera have a little lag time launching and rendering the photos. It also heat. May I ask if you experience this on pixel 6?

@@robertnavarro5024 not much lag on the camera as of now it gets hot sometimes but the phono hasnt learnt my ussage and such I think it'll improve drastically within the next 2 weeks

Great video. Kindly make a guide on exactly how you root your pixel 6 and actually still being a able to receive software updates without breaking anything.
I would love to have the zoom at 2.5x or 3 on regular, apart from that Google has nailed it with the price and specs.
Love my standard Pixel 6. So smooth to use and the battery life beats any phone I've ever had. Great review.
Came from iphone 12 pro max, that's really true BUT the charging speed is worse.
@@ricardorpradarlog Are you using a USB PPS charger? I got one on Amazon from Spigen and it charges up faster than my Razer Phone 2 which I'm upgrading from. It charges very fast to about 80 percent then slows down to preserve battery health. I actually only charge my phone to 85% in most cases, and I can go from dead to 85% in rough a hour. dead to 50% in 30 mins. However, if you want to charge to 100% then from 80% to 100% is significantly slower. Hope this helps.

I was charging mine with the cable of my old phone and it was charging pretty slow too as the cable wasn't the new standard that Pixel is using for fast charging. You should see a big difference with this cable.
@@ricardorpradarlog how do you like it compared to the IPhone pro max? I have the 13 pro and looking at switching back to a android phone and looking at pixel 6.
Using the Pixel 6, moved from the Samsung S10 base model. Main difference I miss is the one-handed ease of the S10, and it does not have as much customization as I'd like, but the way that everything is interconnected (apps and accounts) with the P6 and the display redeems it. The speaker on the P6 is also noticeably weak, in my opinion.
The display is actually lower resolution and quality on the P6 than the S10. I use S10 for work and kept the P6 in the box when I saw how bulky it was, one handed for work is great. I’ll use P6 after I get a good feel for Android 12 on s10 to compare
once the 6 series showed up I knew exactly what I wanted. P6 Pro with silver rails and leather skin. And got it. The back of the phone to me, now, looks so bloody good. Hasselblad vibes throughout...
Right on! The most accurate depiction of my experience with the 6 (out of many out there). I don't compare it to the pro cause I don't want that big thing. I'm not missing the telephoto. The selfie cam actually looked better on the 6 in your review pics (to my taste).Video, no complaints there. December update came along, feels even better, liking it even more. Great battery... again, great battery life! The fingerprint sensor feels satisfying to me cause you feel it actually makes certain of what it's capturing and it is by no means slow. Awesome phone. Could be smaller to be perfect. 5.8 inches is the best size ever for a phone to me. Besides that... a joy to use on the latest and greatest Android.
Bro the only difference between the 6 and the pro is the front camera has a few more pixels the 6 has 4260amh battery the pro has a 5000amh battery but I have had my Google pixels ear buds which for £98 are a absolute bargain best fitting ear buds I have owned, on for hours on the trains and it hardly uses any battery plus it has a pixel 6 app to adjust equalizer, and it charges so fast it's very impressive so why pay £246 extra for a few pixels and a little bit extra battery which the pro will need with the difference in size, you chose the right phone I have had iPhones Samsung S series and this phone at less than half price beats them all plus with the titan m2 chip security it's the most secure android phone on the market I just have malware bytes as an extra to check every app
all the quality & editing creativity of this video aside, the idea of letting the music play in the background after the speakers test with a fluent transition really put a smile to my face. great video, was fun to watch! :)

Happy you touched on haptics, I feel like so many reviews leave this out and it's something I value, generally not a deal breaker (unless it's absolutely terrible) but more of a nice to have.
I too wish the display on the 6 was a 120Hz panel. I recently used a 6 Pro for a handful of minutes and just in that small time alone I immediately noticed navigating through the UI was much faster than on the 6, I'm sure the 4GB of additional RAM on the 6 Pro didn't hurt either.
Overall though for a $599 device with this level of build quality and specs, there's very little in terms of real tangible aspects one can complain about and for me it is easily the device or the year.

Currently rocking my S9+ for 3+ years and almost never had any accidental touches
The problem about creating a phone with a matte finish style back is the interception and conductivity of other materials when wireless charging. In short - glass is a very efficient way of wireless charging. Some people love wireless charging and hate carrying cords around.
P.S. I got my 256GB Pixel 6 Pro today and love it.

I got the Pixel 6 pro and what i can tell you is that the fingerprint sensor isn't that bad. I olso have a silicon screen protector on it with no problems, for me is fast enough. Yes, is slower than a ultra sonic which have that instant tap unlock filing about 0.1 seconds, let's say the one from Pixel 6 pro is about 3 times slower around 0.3 seconds. Waayyy about half a second. And another thing I noticed is that in other applications the sensor is way faster, like confirmation of a money transfer where you have to put your password or fingerprint, and that prove somehow what google says about "slower" reading when you unlock your phone, is only about taking longer for more security. If there was a choise in settings between a bit lower security, but faster scan, I would choose that.
It would have been next level if it was more compact and had a headphone jack...

The biggest gripes I have with the normal 6 is the very sub-par rigid oled and the quiet (but very balanced and clear) speakers compared to my last phone, but generally I'm pretty happy with it
I just got the Pixel 6 Pro and it is quite nice and a massive upgrade from my Pixel 2 XL. Though there are some issues: the curved display leads to some webpages to have bent text or photos if the page goes edge to edge. Then there's the issue where any skin touching the edge will cause some touch or scrolling issues but randomly/ not specific instances or grip type.
I would go with the Pixel 6 but I find myself liking the telephoto lens quite a bit and the front facing camera makes it known that it's an older module/ sensor.
Anyone else missing the colored power button?

Was loving my pixel 6 pro up until the last few days! Very hot here in Australia and once the temperature hits 40 degrees outside the phone starts disabling features like reception, unable to make calls/texts.... Had to keep turning it off and on, then would get a couple minutes use out of until it would disable reception again

Thanks for the great content. Really appreciate your stylish reviews and minimal design principles. You really touch my own design esthetics 👌. The two major things I really don't like on my pixel 6: the not fully functional Fingerprintsensor (please google: face unlock + back or side fingerprint) and the aspectratio of the phone itself. My heart is craving the pixel 5 esthetics. I am really missing my pixel 5 in that case but loving all other within the pixel 6. Looking forward to 7 since it's also my favorite number... Fingers crossed for a new phone in autumn 💪😏

How much of the finger print sensor do you think could be individual device variation? I feel like I've seen a lot of reports of varying quality including "it's a bit slow but it works consistently fine" on both the 6 and 6 pro, and I personally haven't run into any issues at least within the first month of using my 6 pro.
I just upgraded from the Pixel XL to the 6 Pro just yesterday, and I gotta say, it is easily the best phone I've owned. Its so fast, smooth, and these cameras have rendered my digital camera useless (not a great one, but still).

- the Samsung S21 (which price has dropped to the same as the pix6),
- and the Oppo Find x3 Neo (slightly less expensive bc on sales).

One thing most reviews on youtube never mention about the standard Pixel 6, not the 6 Pro, is that the screen is actually a lesser quality panel compared to the Pro. That's why the display is set at 90 Hz. The issue with that, is that the Pixel 6 has pretty bad OLED green tints on quite a few devices. I have one and I'm trying to get it returned for a refund because it's very obvious at low lighting, I can't imagine how this many reviewers haven't noticed or commented about it, since as soon as you search up that issue you'll find many anecdotes of people having the same issue and returning multiple times to have varying degrees of screen tinting.
I would definitely recommend the 6 Pro, as the 6 wasn't even usable for me coming from a previous phone that had a perfect display, please think about this before buying the standard 6.

The only thing that makes me want the pro is the extra RAM. I usually keep my phones for 2.5 to 3 years and the extra RAM just seems a little future proofing, plus being able to open a few apps without them refreshing when I go back would be nice too.
My p6 pro is laggier then my p6 ever was (got the p6 while waiting for the pro)

@@HellcatM I think better research was done on optimizing the p6, because Google didn't expect the pro to sell like it did, and figured that the extra resources would be more then enough for a lack of polish on the p6 pro. :(

I wish they used the frosted glass finish they like the one they used in the Pixel 4, the placing of the buttons is weird, I also wish the volume rockers and the power button were on opposite sides.
I felt it was very weird when switching from my OnePlus that they were on the same side, but now I've used it more it's wayy better for one handed use and I only rarely find myself accidentally hitting lock when watching landscape content
